The staff is great. They are compassionate and gentle. My dog is elderly and deaf. She bonded with everyone quickly. If your pet needs surgery or any procedure, the doctor gives you an estimate with low and high range. The charges never go above the high. All charges are itemized. Took my shih tzu to them, 03/2018 they did blood work and gave her all of her shots. They discovered she had heart worms and are treating her. The staff was very kind. The Vet went to great lengths to explain everything in detail that my dog needed. I feel very confident that I have found the best of the best, when it comes to my animals health care provider. Also, while I was there an elderly couple came with their large great Pyrenees..they were not able to get him out of car they ask if the vet would come to the car..the girl went to back, she came out told them yes the vet would go to car..few minutes the vet came through lobby to the car..the staff from front desk to the vet acted as if nothing was too much to ask...really nice to see how the other family was treated... I moved here a couple of years ago. I went to a couple of vets with my dog and was unhappy. So I started looking. I took a chance on Red Barn because it is near my home. Beth made an appointment right away, and when we got there we only waited about 5 minutes. The interior is warm and homey, not clinical feeling. The tech, Jamie, came in and was very thorough and very kind with Cody. He was really nervous and she was so patient. Then Dr Krum came in and he was also mindful that Cody was nervous. He got down on the floor near Cody to see about him rather than immediately putting him on the table. He did a very thorough physical exam and then he explained a course of action we could take, which I agreed with. He did not jump to expensive treatments and over the top ways to help. Cody was given a treat and we went to check out. Every person we met up with was warm and informative. Part of the plan of treatment was for me to call in two weeks and talk about what had been done and how Cody was doing. I ended up talking with the other Dr. Krum and she was so patient, talking to me as long as I needed, and deciding with me our next step. I am so pleased with my choice of Red Barn and look forward to a long happy relationship with them as we keep Cody at his best!Read Less

Took my pup Goober in last Friday, for a split nail. Was greeted immediately. Next thing I know we were walking out the door! Everybody I dealt with was very friendly and treated my dog as if they were their own. For my very first vet visit ever, I was very pleased(I think I was more nervous than Goob). I have never had a Veterinarian take so much time to explain what was going on, how to administer the medication, and make sure that I fully understood not only what they did but why and how. We had the best experience in a terrible situation with our loving dog. We had to make the decision to put her to sleep and Dr Krum discussed all with us and even explained what would be happening. The staff was very kind and as comforting as they could be. They made us an impression of her paw that is a forever keepsake. My dog has terrible anxiety, they give him the extra attention he needs! Even sat with him just to get to know him the first visit. He's done mainly annual visits and getting better every time. Very caring staff. We had to make an emergency visit for an old dog who had taken ill. They were able to see us right away and help us with the hard decision to put him to sleep. They made him comfortable on a blanket and let the family stay around him and pet him and talk to him as he left. They also made a nice paw print plaque to remember him by. This pet hospital is amazing. My cat had a potentially cancerous (but definitely infected) cyst on her shoulder. After I took her to the ER on Saturday night (where they administered antibiotics), they recommended I take her here for care on Monday. The doctor at the ER had nothing but positive remarks about this place. The employees were incredibly kind and useful. My cat is elderly and shy but they accommodated her and tolerated my anxious helicopter cat-parenting. The building is also very cozy and welcoming - it's like going to your grandma's house instead of a white, sterile vet! Of course, the facility is still very safe and sanitary. I brought my cat in on Monday for the exam and to take a sample for blood work, and she was back on Tuesday morning for surgery. She was loopy from the medication when I picked her up but now she is noticeably happier with that mass gone. The area is healing up wonderfully and the vet provided some pain medication to give her. They also scheduled a follow-up appointment and called the night of the surgery to check on how my cat was doing. I felt that the staff was honest and sincerely concerned for my pet's well being - unlike some vets where you feel like they just want to do as much work as possible to maximize their profit margins. The entire procedure here was done at a very fair and reasonable price. I will definitely be using Red Barn for my future pet needs and recommending them to all of my friends!Read Less

Dr. Barbara and Dr. Steve have been wonderful with my exotic cat that has pneumonia. Red Barn is the third vet I took her to. I have a chinese sharpei that is 14yrs old and had a very large mammary tumor. I found Dr. Krum on a google search for vet services accepting Care Credit. From the greeting at the door from the extremely caring front receptionist to the throughly superior service, I cannot write any words to adequately describe the quality of veterinary care that was given to Gabbi. Dr. Krum was honest, understanding, and VERY fairly priced. He is also apparently a very intelligent and gifted surgeon. I am in the business of evaluating other businesses and I do not impress easily. It was refreshing to find a business to use as a model of what "to do" rather than "not to do". He even gave me his personal number to call if I needed him. Top notch service and I would definitely recommend Red Barn to anyone with pet needs. Read Less
