I strongly urge pet owners to reconsider taking their beloved pets to this veterinary hospital, especially in an emergency situation.
My 70 yer old mother took her Yorkie to see Dr. Hernandez. My mom's dog had not eaten in two days. After examining the dog, Dr. Hernandez concluded the dog was fine. He felt she had a mild infection of some sort and sent her home with a B12 shot and some antibiotics. This was around 11:00am.
The next morning, the dog was not doing any better and seemed worse. My mom called the vet as soon as they opened to ask if she could bring the dog back in. Unfortunately, the office manager played the role of vet and told my mom that it was too early to bring the dog back in. She needed to give the medicine 24 hours to work. She told my mom to call back in the afternoon, and if the dog still wasn't doing better, she would fit the dog in the following day. My mom accepted this office manager's words as truth and doubted herself.
Sadly, my mom's dog didn't make it until the afternoon. Devastated, my mom called the office back to let them know that her dog had died. Instead of being greeted with concern, empathy, or sincere condolences, the office manager asked my mother if she would like a necropsy, an autopsy for pets. Seriously ?!!! Clearly, she is in the practice of "up selling”.. The insensitivity is appalling!! $600 dollars later, and within less than 24 hours after leaving this vet, my mom is left with a dead dog and a broken heart.
I recognize that everyone has to make money. Businesses must survive. However, this veterinary hospital is NOT there for the care of animals. The love of animals has long left them behind. I don't believe my mom's dog received superior care, and I don't believe my mom received even adequate customer service.
Finally, I called the office with my mom to speak with the vet regarding the office manager. The office manager left us on hold for over 20 minutes. She refused to let us speak with a vet. She said she would have Dr. Hernandez give us a call back. This call never came.
I, like my mom, have a huge love of animals, and I genuinely would hate for anyone to trust their pets' lives with the people within this clinic.

I strongly urge pet owners to reconsider taking their beloved pets to this veterinary hospital, especially in an emergency situation.
My 70 yer old mother took her Yorkie to see Dr. Hernandez. My mom's dog had not eaten in two days. After examining the dog, Dr. Hernandez concluded the dog was fine. He felt she had a mild infection of some sort and sent her home with a B12 shot and some antibiotics. This was around 11:00am.
