I have been with the original facility most my life and I am 57. They have a great staff, friendly and always willing to help, but the Doctors are top in latest procedures. Just last week we moved and our pup got into something and I knew she was dying. We rushed her there while they were at lunch and they saved her life. She was there for awhile and it was touch and go. I was called by a Doctor every day, even Sundays. When I went to see her they always came to the back to answer questions. They saved her life and my heart. If you are new to Mobile or want to change try them. They rotate Doctors so you can chose your favorite from 3 but they all work together. They have 2 locations too. I have stayed for 40 years for a reason. I love every dog, cat I have ever had, they are like family and they treat them the way I want them treated, I can’t put it all into words.

The staff was very pleasant and kept the atmosphere calm. I was happy to see how caring the vet and his assistant were in doing their best to make my frightened puppy as comfortable and relaxed as possible throughout the entire visit. Everything was done very gently and professionally, and the vet was in no sort of rush--he took his time to make sure each of my questions were answered and was there throughout the entire appointment. This was much different from my experience at two other vet offices where those vets were barely in the room for the appointment and were in a rush to be in and out. That being so, I am VERY happy with the service I received at UAH! I also love the fact the vet is not pushy whatsoever about treatments, vaccinations, and so forth. They are not after your money--their focus is solely on you and your pet. Found the prices so far to be very good! I'm canceling my appointment at another clinic and having the procedure done here at University Animal Hospital instead. Very kind, informative people!

Dr. Pietrzyk was great with my cats. The office manager, Robin, was friendly and helpful, too, squeezing me in on a Saturday that was booked full. Vets are expensive in general, but I found their prices to be fairer than most places in Mobile. I don't know what folks are complaining about.

Everyone here is extremely sweet and understanding. I've taken all of my pets here and when my 15 year-old cat died they even sent me a really sweet card to show their condolences. I'm always treated with respect and they don't charge an arm and a leg for services. Recently my dog was diagnosed with a blood disease and so far the treatments have been working extremely well, so I can now say she's one happy and healthy dog. This office is under the same staff as the Azalea Animal Hospital off DIP, so it's very convenient for me to travel to both locations. I HIGHLY recommend these wonderful people to take care of your fur babies.

Firstly, I'd point out the address currently listed for these guys is not accurate. I think they are listed at 801 University, but they are really at about 509 Georgian Dr. Anyway, it's the second building from the end of Georgian Dr., on the right as you're going in.
They are pretty decent folks, even if they're not the most economical. Heck, they did save my dog after Rehm Animal Hospital patched her up & sent her home with me to die. I'd recommend University Animal Hospital with the caveat that you need to bring a loaded wallet. LOL.

I was happy to see how caring the vet and his assistant were in doing their best to make my frightened puppy as comfortable and relaxed as possible throughout the entire visit.
