I have been taking my African Gray to this facility since 2 years ago. We have followed the doctor's advice and we took both our birds, Shakespeare (african gray) and Mango (conure) yesterday for their annual physical and beak trimming. The staff is very polite and nice. It was so easy to schedule an appointment . Doctor Lewis is very knowledgeable and attentive, he makes my birds feel at ease and very comfortable. I am posting this review to try to help this facility. The Front Desk lady is súper nice. My dog loved her. Imagine my disappointment at picking up my dog after just a day of boarding and his fur was matted with poop and urine. I tried to sit him in the car and he demanded to be ran like he had not been walked any. Don't advertise boarding if you lack the staff. The barking by all the dogs was traumatizing to me. I could not imagine dogs having to sleep among all that barking. Read Less

Very pleased with this vet. We inherited an exotic bird, and it was difficult to find a good vet for him. Dr was very knowledgeable about cockatoos and we learned a lot about them. If you have birds, this is the vet to care for them. Read Less

Dr. Lewis takes the time needed to help owners really understand their pet's health and needs, whether it's a healthy puppy or kitten or an exotic pet with dietary and environmental challenges. A giant heart shaped shoutout to the folks at Bell Road Animal Hospital. My daughter's beloved gecko, Holly Golightly, contracted an incurable illness and needed to take the long sleep. We brought her here and the Dr. Lewis along with his staff were so compassionate and understanding. There was no judgement when my daughter sobbed her goodbyes, and I felt they truly sympathized with her sorrow. This feeling was confirmed tonight when we found a Sympathy Card signed by the whole staff in our mailbox today. What a thoughtful and very appreciated gesture! I have used Bell Road Animal Medical Center and Dr Lewis for a few years to take care of my reptiles. No matter what the problem is, he is always very helpful. He explains things to me. He doesn't rush animals in and out. Dr Lewis spends time examining each animal. He even prints off the latest information, at least for reptiles. Dr. Lewis is such a great vet. Our little dog was very sick a few weeks ago, and the way he talked to me about her problems was very comforting. She died ten days later, and they even sent us a sympathy card. The entire staff is friendly, and they go above and beyond to meet your needs. Nice staff, fast booking and they offer military discount. As with any vet, it can be pricey for your pet, but they only seem to charge for what is absolutely necessary. Also offer doggy day care and boarding for fair prices. Read Less
