Several thousand dollars and many, many products later my Scoop is finally feeling some relief from his allergies. I want to say a big thank you to Dr. Graydon and her staff at Eastmont Animal Clinic for working so hard to help my baby. I tried absolutely everything I could think of or read about: coconut oil, castor oil, medications, shampoos, lotions, sprays, changes in food, etc. and nothing seemed to work. It has taken a few years but a new medication seems to be working wonders for him. Every time I brought him in I felt like such a horrible mom because he was in such bad shape and in so much pain even though I had tried everything I possibly could to help him. He would have rashes, redness, ear infections, and sores where he had scratched so much he had broken the skin. His condition could progress this severely in just a couple of days. No one there ever made me feel like i was ever to blame. They have never refused my babies treatment or services even when I didn't have the money to pay anything toward the bill that day. We have been seeing Dr. Graydon for eight years now. She is a true professional that demonstrates her love and passion for caring for pets each and every day. I recently took my cat Otis to Eastmont Clinic. I felt compelled to write a review, since the entire experience was outstanding.The purpose for my visit was his annual checkup, plus, I get additional screening done, since my cat had a kidney removed, and has only one kidney since he was a kitten.    I get routine blood screening done on this cat in order to monitor the status of his critical remaining kidney.First off, the staff were very helpful and friendly on the phone when scheduling an appointment around my schedule.  Once at the clinic, the front office staff and technicians were very helpful and knowledgeable, and had answers to the basic questions that they should, such as pricing and recommended frequency for the various blood panels and vaccinations that my cat needed.My cat was handled very well, and they even asked permission to shave a little bit of hair to more safely get at his vein for the blood sample.  They were very compassionate and gentle with my cat, and the overall demeanor of the entire team there was positive, happy, and I could tell that I was working with people who love what they do, which is important when they're taking care of my pet.The office also promptly notified me when the blood work came back. The blood was drawn on a Saturday, and I already had results by Monday.  The staff even had Fax on the lab that was doing the analysis.  Dr. Susan Graydon called me to discuss the results of the blood panel.  Dr. Graydon Took Otis' last blood work that I had submitted, and gave me the line by line comparison with his newest blood panel.  She gave me the facts, and helped me to understand what all of my potential courses of action are, given Otis' condition.She was extremely knowledgeable and demonstrated the highest level of expertise in answering the questions that I had with regards to the volatility of certain enzyme readings, and then helped me to understand which of the enzymes were of the greatest significance in reflecting the health of his kidney.My experience with this clinic was absolutely outstanding.  They are also a member of AAHA.  I have moved several times with Otis in the last 15 years, so I have a fairly good basis of comparison from having seen well over a dozen different veterinarians between him and other pets.I highly recommend this clinic, and they set a new standard and customer service and quality of care. These are the most loving down to earth people you have ever met! Not to mention all of the staff seemed very knowledgeable and helpful on any topic! Dr. Graydon and Dr. Kim are the two most skilled vets I have ever met. I hopped around clinics for a while after we moved here trying to find the perfect fit for my dogs and cat and have fallen for these people and all the good they do! No one around the Central Alabama area can compare to them and it still amazes me how competitive their prices are compared to some of the other clinics where you don't get NEAR the service! Thank you so much for taking care of my babies. I have never had a vet that called me to explain things in detail about my dogs while she was treating them. Also, the groomer that took care of them today was awesome. She took it easy on my older dog that cannot stand for long periods of time.
