We left Florida because of hurricane, took this route to Chattanooga to miss traffic, my two dogs were sick the entire drive, diarrhea and vomiting, 12 hours by this time of constant diarrhea and vomiting from one med size dog and one very large dog, Not A Fun trip so far. Cade and the entire MVA team have been absolutely phenomenal when we had to have a knee surgery done on our very large breed dog. She is older and sensitive to anesthesia, but there were no problems at all, and a week after the surgery she is bearing weight and walking around. In addition to the great results from the surgery, we had a few little "concerns" on whether x behavior was normal or if we should do something, both times we called in we were almost immediately connected with The vet who performed the surgery and he was able to offer us solutions over the phone for both problems. I highly recommend this practice, for everything from daily check ups to major orthopedic surgeries. We live in New York City, and still fly our dog to Alabama whenever it is something we are significantly concerned about and want the best possible care.Read Less

I have gone to this location before and the doctor we saw seemed very nice and comforting but I just got of the phone to possibly schedule another visit for my new cat and the lady who answered was very rude, not really understanding and seemed to have a snippy attitude like she didn't have time to answer my questions. This kind of behavior makes me not want to take my cat there again.Read Less

Let me begin by saying I was not initially skeptical on choosing this establishment for pet boarding. It seemed to have good reviews and I didn't get a bad vibe when walking in. But to keep it brief our dog was boarded for 10 days. This is unusual for us but we just PCSed here because we are military. Our dog has a great amount of separation anxiety and we tried to prep them for this issue. Upon retrieving our pet everything seemed fine, the handler was friendly and the checkout was fast. However, once in the vehicle we realized our dog was severely malnourished to the point of being able to see all of her bones. She had lost at least 5 pounds and she's only a 17 pound dog. Her muscled looked atrophied and it was a deeply disturbing sight as well as heartbreaking. I was too taken aback to call them as we will never bring our dog their again but it doesn't seem right that it go unspoken. I would take pictures but it was honestly too depressing to show... It will now take weeks until she will regain her healthy weight and energy levels. In closing if your dog needs extra attention do not trust this company, I received zero phone calls from them indicating anything was wrong and when we checked out they acted as if nothing was wrong. Her handler even appeared friendly prompted he had taken care of her everyday... How is that possible!?! When you leave your pet with a company you don't expect them to mistreat your animal... how could they stay in business? Please beware for your dogs safety. Read Less

I used to go to the Vaughn Road Location, but found that the Carter Hill Road location is closer to where I live. I have found that both clinics are very professional and caring about your pet. My wife and I are going on a short vacation sometime in August and plan on leaving our Flea at the clinic while we are away. Can't get any better than MVA. Read Less

I can not say enough wonderful things about Montgomery Veterinary Associates.  I took my dog there for veterinary services, grooming and boarding for four years.  I travel a lot, and had to board my dog often.  It was a hard thing for me to do, but the staff at Montgomery Veterinary Associates absolutely LOVED my dog and made sure I knew it. They knew both of us by name, and were always cheerful, personable and accommodating.  Drs. McLemore and Williford both treated my little mutt with lots of love and tenderness.  The girl who bathed and groomed him did wonderful work and he absolutely loved going to see her (I can't get him anywhere near a tub!).  I can only hope to find a vet's office half as good as this one anywhere else.
