Dr. Lamb (and her entire crew!) at Complete Care Animal Hospital in Hampton Cove has been a God send. Dr. Lamb has spent three full days with Ellie over the past week diagnosing several health issues and ruling out things that a previous Doctor had us concerned about. She called us Saturday and Sunday morning to check on how she (and we) were doing at home. Dr. Lamb doesn't hesitate to get on the floor and pet Ellie while speaking to her to comfort her and settle her anxiety. I took my Sadie to Complete Care with severe dry eye in one eye (due to previous injury) and severe skin allergies that my previous vet has made 0 progress in treating over multiple visits (and hundreds of dollars) over the last year. They were wonderful about scheduling my appointment around my work hours. Dr Lamb was awesome...understanding of my frustration and taking time to explain possible approaches, timelines, hopeful results and alternatives we would try until we find my girl some relief. I'm so ecstatic to say it has only been one week and Sadie's eye is AMAZINGLY improved and we are following a strict diet in hopes that by the time we go back for a follow up, I'll be able to say the same about her skin. Very good vet. I have a big dog who is in pain. She doesn't make him get up on the exam table. She gets down on the floor with him and loves on him. Compared to other vets we've seen, he's not so scared in her office; My dog trusts her so I do too! Read Less

I recently moved from out of state, and I hate trying to find a new vet.  I made an appointment for my dog and gave the Complete Care Animal Hospital the contact information for my old vet.  I requested that they have my dog and cat's records transferred.  I received a call the day before my appointment to tell me that they forgot that Friday was Veteran's Day, so they needed to reschedule my Friday afternoon appointment because the clinic was closing at noon.  My husband took my dog to his 5:30 appointment and arrived on time.  I arrived at the clinic at 5:45 to catch the second half of the appointment.  To my surprise my husband was already done and in his car about to return home!  According to my husband, the vet tech came out and got my dog and took him to the back.  No more than 5 minutes later, the vet tech returned with my dog.  The vet came out and said he was "fine."  The paperwork they gave my husband did not document any vaccines that were given (the whole point of the appointment).  I went back into the clinic to clear things up.  They had given my dog the 'kennel cough' vaccine, but failed to document it.  I found out that they never contacted my former vets office to get my pets' records.  The "wellness exam" was supposedly performed in the back of the vets office, but my husband never saw the vet examine my dog.  She completely missed his juvenile cataract (it's pretty obvious).  My husband even mentioned that he had some type of eye issue, but she never took the time to look at his eyes.  I asked her to look at them when we went back in.  She said that I would have to "get him to calm down."  This was no problem since he knows basic commands, and maybe if she had examined him in the "exam" room my husband could have made him cooperate better.  The vet also told us that nothing can be done for cataracts.  I told her that they can be surgically removed because I discussed this with our former vet. I can't believe they charged $75 for an exam that I'm not even sure happened.  I will NEVER take any of my pets back here!  WORST vet experience ever!  AVOID AT ALL COST! Read Less

Very good vet with a great staff. She spent lot's of time with me on our first visit explaining my dog's conditions and our options, never felt rushed. There are many vets a lot closer to me (I drive 12 miles) but she is worth the drive. Read Less
