Dr. Sims is absolutely wonderful. I had an emergency with my horse, Mia, on a Saturday about 2 weeks ago. I called every nearby vet and could not get anyone to agree to come look at her leg. The cut on her leg was terrible and to the bone. No one else seemed to care. But Dr. Sims, who does not work on large animals, but has horses agreed to come. He spent 2 hours sewing up her leg where there was skin left to sew and he has come every few days to look at it. I have never known another vet who really cared that much. Plus, her leg is healing, but it will take awhile.

I had a Boston Terrier with an injured eye. His eye had turned white. The Dr told me my baby was in pain. Nobody in Alabama would touch him except this wonderful vet who removed his eye and sewed it up beautifully. My baby was a different dog after!!! I had searched for help and a coworker told me about Cropwell. I drove from Vestavia... I would have driven lots further! R I P Cosmo!!!

Dr. Sims, was amazing. My dog was treated by him for Parvo, he was understanding and caring. He never gave us false hope about the situation and when I called in the mornings, he would personally come to the phone to give me updates about him. In the evening time when I stopped in after work he would take be back to see my dog and give me a status update. Through the entire week of treatment, he was very attentive to my family's needs. His staff was a little less caring, they couldn't even remember my dogs name and referred to him as the parvo dog which was very upsetting. I work in health care and I would never refer to my patient by their illness instead of their name. So the doctor is an absolute blessing, but his staff, could at times learn to be a little more sensitive to the needs of their patients.

My experience was terrible very rude people. They don't tell you what you are paying for and not clean at all. I went there like three times and was maybe in there 10 mins and my dog got sick because they didn't give her all her preventives and that there job we rely on the vets to take care of our pets not make them sick. I wouldn't recommend anyone to this vet ever.

Dr. Sims did an AWESOME job!! Both my babies got fixed a few months ago and there were no problems and the recover time was slim to none. They were just fine the next day when I picked them up. He has even meet me after hours when my dog was so sick we just knew we were going to loose him, but he treated and saved our babies life. Thank you again for all you do and being so passionate about what you do :)

I would give them 10 stars if I could! Dr. Sims and the rest of the office were so caring to our pup as well as to our children who were scared of what may happen to their dog. We called after hours because our dog had been injured and Dr. Sims met us at the office and took wonderful care of our dog and continued to follow-up and do everything he could to make him better. I am so grateful for Cropwell Small Animal Clinic and would suggest to anyone who loves their pet as much as we do to make your next appointment with Dr. Sims.

Dr. Sims is absolutely wonderful. I had an emergency with my horse, Mia, on a Saturday about 2 weeks ago. I called every nearby vet and could not get anyone to agree to come look at her leg. The cut on her leg was terrible and to the bone. No one else seemed to care. But Dr. Sims, who does not work on large animals, but has horses agreed to come. Nobody in Alabama would touch him except this wonderful vet who removed his eye and sewed it up beautifully. My baby was a different dog after!!! My experience was terrible very rude people. They don't tell you what you are paying for and not clean at all. I went there like three times and was maybe in there 10 mins and my dog got sick because they didn't give her all her preventives and that there job we rely on the vets to take care of our pets not make them sick. We called after hours because our dog had been injured and Dr. Sims met us at the office and took wonderful care of our dog and continued to follow-up and do everything he could to make him better.
