First off I will say I like Dr. Myers. Used her as my only vet when we first moved to Prattville, a bit on the expensive side. This being said. I changed vets due to the fact when I needed her for a new puppy that had parvo, I was told on a Friday to call back on Saturday. We were told to call on Monday because Dr. Myers was off that weekend. So now we are using a great vet with better prices and has 24 hr care right here in Prattville. And our puppy is alive and well. I recently rescued another puppy who looked like he was left for dead. He had all types of worms and just poor health. Well I am in the process of looking for another Vet. To many strikes in just 3 short months of using this facility. (1). I boarded my dog for 3 to 4 days and he developed Kennel Cough. They prescribed medicine that I had to pay for, but he developed Kennel cough at their facility. He’s 8 years old and never had this happen before. (2) Took my dog in for grooming at 7 am. Told it would take 3 hours, after not receiving a phone call I followed up at 1pm, only to be told my dog was groomed, except nails. He would be ready after groomer retuned from lunch. Why not finish him, nails take 5 mins??? Well then I go pick him up a hour later and he still not ready. So the person working the front counter goes back and cuts his nails and now he is bleeding from that experience as I take him home. (3). While I’m waiting at front counter for my dog another gentleman brings his dog in who is barking quite a bit. I happen to look back at the Counter Rep and catch her look of disgust of having to deal with this dog. (4) I call on Weekend because my dog has ear infection, Doc calls me back after second message and says it will have to wait till Monday. Gives me remedies I had already looked up, but no option to get medicine after hours. I brought my dog in Germany and he has lived in and been cared for Vets on Turkey, Tucson Arizona, Chicago, and Alaska. Never have we had any of these experiences, and I have all these in 3 short months.. Time to move on and I tried to give benefit of doubt. Just cannot keep doing it and they really need to have people work the front counter that displays a loving attitude toward pets. They faces don’t say I love doing this for a living. Read Less

I took my dog here to be groomed due to the convenience to my house and the price difference compared to other groomers ( other were 80-90, river regions confirmed TWICE it wouldbe $60) They tried to charge $75 when he was picked up claiming they did not know who told me $60. Since my husband picked him up he just paid them $60 and didn't question the cut. The cut looks nothing like the reference picture, I asked to blend the fur so there would not be choppy lines (he is a Great Pyrenees's) the cut was choppy, uneven, and to WAY to short (he was not matted) Read Less

How this vet office has below a five star is beyond me. My family has been going to RR Vet since it opened. The facility is always super clean. They have cute little paintings of different animals on the wall and pictures of the owner & her pets everywhere. You can tell that the love they have for animals is real. The walls are brightly painted and it always smells amazing in their office. The customer service in this office is above and beyond. This vet, specifically Dr. Myers, did and unnecessary surgery, without my consent on my dog. She lies about prices of things saying a cheaper price so will say ok then when you go to pay its almost double what you were told, I have personally seen her drinking \using drugs. She spreads lies about her patient's owners on social media, and she told someone close to me after a major surgery she had a machine that would help her heal, but for her not to tell anyone. Thinking OK this can't hurt she let Dr. Myersdo this treatment which caused more harm to this person. People stay away from this vet, I do not want unnecessary unethical things done to my furbabies! Dr. Myers and Dr. Caver are excellent vets. My cat has had several urinary blocks. They have been caring and dedicated to finding a solution for the problem. When they needed to refer him to another vet for surgery there was no hesitation in their referral. Thankfully things have gone well and we are in the recovery phase now. I have a 118 pound professionally trained, pedigree Newfoundland that was not allowed to have group play at another clinic so with the recommendation of a few friends I brought him to River Region and could not be happier with my decision.  The price is about $10 more a week but he gets six hours of group play a day with dogs of all breeds and sizes.  Instead of coming home begging for attention he's now one worn out pup.  I would recommend this clinic to anyone who asks. This is the best veterinary clinic I've ever experienced.  Dr. Amy Carter Myers is so kind, caring, professional and wonderful to her patients and their "parents".  Her staff is dedicated and are always happy to see you and very sweet to your pets.  During a recent emergency situation with one of our dogs after hours on a weekend, Dr. Myers was so concerned, attentive, comforting and she had the situation well in-hand.  I can't say enough about this great vet and her staff.I've tried many of the vets in this area (Prattville & Montgomery) over the last 15 years and Dr. Myers and her staff are the best I've ever come across.  We've finally found the vet we've always wanted!Thanks River Region -- you guys ROCK!
