Dr. Lowery and staff are amazing. They cared for and treated my fur baby for almost 13 years. I moved to Atlanta 10 years ago and continued to drive to Lowery Animal Hospital every time my baby needed treatment because of the excellent care he received. I cannot say enough good things. The love and compassion that Dr. Lowery and his staff showed me during Dipper’s final days will never be forgotten. I highly recommend this office.

My German Shepherd began having seizures on August 11th this year. Having no idea what was happening the first time-or why (thinking someone had given him a large bone in earlier hours of the night and he had choked it up) I waited until the following week to take him in when it happened the second time and I was able to recognize the symptoms. I called frantic early in the morning and they took us straight in even tho Dom had only been seen once there for his rabies shot. Th...ey were kind and loving. They understood completely that while some people see pets as an extension of the family, I saw Dom as my baby 100% as if it was one of my kids almost. I was devastated and thought I would lose him. After working with me, examining Dom (and numerous follow up calls as he had several more seizures while adjusting to the medication) between myself, the ladies, Dr. Greene and Dr. Lowery for that first month, he is adjusted and doing very well to date. Anytime I need them now there is never hesitation on their part to help and they are absolutely precious to work with! (They also now treat our Shitzu & did his neutering.) I highly recommend this extra caring group!! I can’t say how much we appreciate them. See more

I have never met a group of people that loved and cared for our dog as much as we did. Being from Louisiana (needing emergency care for our dog because I ran over him) and not being a regular at Lowery Animal Hospital I wasn’t expecting to be treated the way we were. They went over and way beyond our expectations. Dr. Greene even came in on her day off to make sure Patch would be comfortable on our ride back to Louisiana. Dr. Lowery is an extremely caring veterinarian. My sister's family pet of 12 years recently passed away at her home. She lives in a small town where cremation services are not available. Although I now live in Gulf Shores, Dr. Lowery was my vet of choice for the many years that I lived in Saraland. He came to mind for my sister's pet. He was a big dog so upon my sister's arrival at his office, Dr. Lowery met her at her car to help her. This was a difficult time for her and he was kind and consoling. Thank you, Dr. Lowery! As some of you know I'm a guy who believes that my dog is a member of the family! Therefore I want the best care I can get, Dr. Lowery and his staff are the embodiment of that care. He's an Auburn Grad but don't hold it against him, he knows animals inside and out. We brought a newly adopted lab mix to him and after a very thorough once over she was given a clean bill of health. Sounds good right we'll let me explain. He explained what he was doing every single step of the way. He explained how the heart worm negative test still leaves room for certain stages in the first six months. He explained treatment of a hot spot, he gave good advice and clearly and in layman's terms was able to explain how and why it was that way. Dr Lowery has a love and way with animals that even our skittish adoptee warmed to extremely quickly.Also, because most of us aren't in possession of money to burn, his rates are phenomenal! An office visit is 23 dollars! I mean top quality vet, top quality staff, top quality place! Dr Lowery will continue to be worth the drive from Mobile!

I use to live in Saraland and now drive 45 min to still bring my dog here.. to everyone who has said their prices are high, you have never taken your dog to a vet on the eastern shore...My dogs annual is less than 200 bucks and that includes her heart guard. Vets on the Eastern Shore, try over 250....Also my dog was heart worm positive and with out going the pricy route but with patience, my dog is heart worm free thanks to Dr. Lowery. They are a great place to take your pet and very nice.

We found a dog along Rte 43 that had been hit by a car. GPS showed Lowery Animal Hospital as the closest vet (18 miles). From the moment we walked in the door, we experienced nothing but compassion and gentle care for this poor dog. They did ask who was going to be responsible for any vet bills and we decided we would be. Dr. Green, knowing we are on a Senior budget, kept the bill as low as possible while still giving excellent care (heartworm positive and 2 front broken legs!). We now own the dog and he is doing fine! We would wholeheartedly recommend this animal hospital to anyone who has a pet.

Saw a vet right away who did a thorough, gentle exam on the dog. From the front desk to the vet tech who helped, this stray dog received nothing but compassion and gentle handling. I took my dog to Lowery for a second opinion on a skin condition and they were okay. To the lady who thinks Saraland Vet Clinic is great, I say they are out for the money, rude and not pleasant. I bought a puppy from them (Kritter Sitters & vet in one building owned by Dr George) 2 days after I bought him for 350.00 plus tax 380.00 he had bloody stool. I immediately took him to Dr George who misdiagnosed him with coccidia and gave medications for this at the cost of 66.00. 2 days later the puppy was almost dead and I rushed him back over to Dr George and the puppy was tested and he had parvo, died. Dr George called and said he didn't have to give me anything but offered 300.00, take it or leave it. DO NOT TRUST SARALAND VET CLINIC!!!

I went to have my senior Mini Schnauzer looked at. She had an eye infection. When we arrived we were meet by the female Dr. and she looked at my dog and did a test with a little piece of paper to determine no tear production. Then washed out her eyes with saline and prescribed her some eye salve. I asked if they could trim her nails while we were there. Since my dog is so old and has arthritis, I am always afraid to clip them. She said NEXT time I come in and left the room. Next thing I know I have a bill for $180. They made me get shots for my dog that a previous vet told me that she was not well enough to have. She was 13 years old and I was trying to make her as comfortable as possible. They made me feel like I was not taking care of my dog. She was 13 years old. I was doing all I could for her. Three weeks later we had to have her put down. (NOT at Lowery's) So Lowery's was not sensitive enought to let me know her current condition and took advantage of getting as much procedure and prescriptions out of me as possible and then wouldn't even trim her nails which I guess would have required to much work on thier part. Stay away!! I LOVE Saraland Vetrinarian Clinic (251) 679-0370. They are VERY affordable and are very thorough and personable. Can't say enough good things about them. We just got a new puppy and started her out there. Best decision ever!

Dr. Lowery and staff are amazing. They cared for and treated my fur baby for almost 13 years. I moved to Atlanta 10 years ago and continued to drive to Lowery Animal Hospital every time my baby needed treatment because of the excellent care he received. I cannot say enough good things. The love and compassion that Dr. Lowery and his staff showed me during Dipper’s final days will never be forgotten. I highly recommend this office.

My German Shepherd began having seizures on August 11th this year. Having no idea what was happening the first time-or why (thinking someone had given him a large bone in earlier hours of the night and he had choked it up) I waited until the following week to take him in when it happened the second time and I was able to recognize the symptoms. I called frantic early in the morning and they took us straight in even tho Dom had only been seen once there for his rabies shot. Th...ey were kind and loving. They understood completely that while some people see pets as an extension of the family, I saw Dom as my baby 100% as if it was one of my kids almost. I was devastated and thought I would lose him. After working with me, examining Dom (and numerous follow up calls as he had several more seizures while adjusting to the medication) between myself, the ladies, Dr. Greene and Dr. Lowery for that first month, he is adjusted and doing very well to date. Anytime I need them now there is never hesitation on their part to help and they are absolutely precious to work with! (They also now treat our Shitzu & did his neutering.) I highly recommend this extra caring group!! I can’t say how much we appreciate them. See more

I have never met a group of people that loved and cared for our dog as much as we did. Being from Louisiana (needing emergency care for our dog because I ran over him) and not being a regular at Lowery Animal Hospital I wasn’t expecting to be treated the way we were. They went over and way beyond our expectations. Dr. Greene even came in on her day off to make sure Patch would be comfortable on our ride back to Louisiana. Our family can’t thank y’all enough for saving our dogs life. May God bless every one of y’all.

Dr. Lowery is an extremely caring veterinarian. My sister's family pet of 12 years recently passed away at her home. She lives in a small town where cremation services are not available. Although I now live in Gulf Shores, Dr. Lowery was my vet of choice for the many years that I lived in Saraland. He came to mind for my sister's pet. He was a big dog so upon my sister's arrival at his office, Dr. Lowery met her at her car to help her. This was a difficult time for her and he was kind and consoling. Thank you, Dr. Lowery! I will continue to recommend you to anyone needing a veterinarian.

As some of you know I'm a guy who believes that my dog is a member of the family! Therefore I want the best care I can get, Dr. Lowery and his staff are the embodiment of that care. He's an Auburn Grad but don't hold it against him, he knows animals inside and out. We brought a newly adopted lab mix to him and after a very thorough once over she was given a clean bill of health. Sounds good right we'll let me explain. He explained what he was doing every single step of the way. He explained how the heart worm negative test still leaves room for certain stages in the first six months. He explained treatment of a hot spot, he gave good advice and clearly and in layman's terms was able to explain how and why it was that way. Dr Lowery has a love and way with animals that even our skittish adoptee warmed to extremely quickly.Also, because most of us aren't in possession of money to burn, his rates are phenomenal! An office visit is 23 dollars! I mean top quality vet, top quality staff, top quality place! Dr Lowery will continue to be worth the drive from Mobile!

I love this vet. I use to live in Saraland and now drive 45 min to still bring my dog here.. to everyone who has said their prices are high, you have never taken your dog to a vet on the eastern shore...My dogs annual is less than 200 bucks and that includes her heart guard. Vets on the Eastern Shore, try over 250....Also my dog was heart worm positive and with out going the pricy route but with patience, my dog is heart worm free thanks to Dr. Lowery. They are a great place to take your pet and very nice.

We found a dog along Rte 43 that had been hit by a car. GPS showed Lowery Animal Hospital as the closest vet (18 miles). From the moment we walked in the door, we experienced nothing but compassion and gentle care for this poor dog. They did ask who was going to be responsible for any vet bills and we decided we would be. Dr. Green, knowing we are on a Senior budget, kept the bill as low as possible while still giving excellent care (heartworm positive and 2 front broken legs!). We now own the dog and he is doing fine! We would wholeheartedly recommend this animal hospital to anyone who has a pet.

Saw a vet right away who did a thorough, gentle exam on the dog. From the front desk to the vet tech who helped, this stray dog received nothing but compassion and gentle handling. BTW, we ended up adopting the dog.

His staff is always pleasant and helpful too. The only thing I don't like is his prices for services, drugs, etc. Otherwise, he has been very kind.

Just for the record (re: review Sonny787): - That review was about the Saraland Vet Clinic on 43 & 158, NOT the Lowery Animal Hospital.....I've had dealings with both, prefer Lowery.

I took my dog to Lowery for a second opinion on a skin condition and they were okay. To the lady who thinks Saraland Vet Clinic is great, I say they are out for the money, rude and not pleasant. I bought a puppy from them (Kritter Sitters & vet in one building owned by Dr George) 2 days after I bought him for 350.00 plus tax 380.00 he had bloody stool. I immediately took him to Dr George who misdiagnosed him with coccidia and gave medications for this at the cost of 66.00. 2 days later the puppy was almost dead and I rushed him back over to Dr George and the puppy was tested and he had parvo, died. Dr George called and said he didn't have to give me anything but offered 300.00, take it or leave it. DO NOT TRUST SARALAND VET CLINIC!!!

I went to have my senior Mini Schnauzer looked at. She had an eye infection. When we arrived we were meet by the female Dr. and she looked at my dog and did a test with a little piece of paper to determine no tear production. Then washed out her eyes with saline and prescribed her some eye salve. I asked if they could trim her nails while we were there. Since my dog is so old and has arthritis, I am always afraid to clip them. She said NEXT time I come in and left the room. Next thing I know I have a bill for $180. They made me get shots for my dog that a previous vet told me that she was not well enough to have. She was 13 years old and I was trying to make her as comfortable as possible. They made me feel like I was not taking care of my dog. She was 13 years old. I was doing all I could for her. Three weeks later we had to have her put down. (NOT at Lowery's) So Lowery's was not sensitive enought to let me know her current condition and took advantage of getting as much procedure and prescriptions out of me as possible and then wouldn't even trim her nails which I guess would have required to much work on thier part. Stay away!! I LOVE Saraland Vetrinarian Clinic (251) 679-0370. They are VERY affordable and are very thorough and personable. Can't say enough good things about them. We just got a new puppy and started her out there. Best decision ever!
