I am lucky to have a beautiful Snowshoe cat named Hermes who is my little buddy. I noticed that his respiratory rate was a little fast one night and the next morning, he was panting a bit with an open mouth. A bad sign. I immediately called Vestridge Animal Clinic and was told told to bring him in. The stress of the car ride was almost too much, because by the time I got Hermes to the clinic, his tongue and hard pallet were a deep purple and he was gasping to breathe. I thought I was going to lose him right then and there.
The nursing staff immediately recognized the problem and stabilized him on oxygen until Dr. England could see him. In short order, Hermes turned the corner! With Dr. England's knowledgeable guidance and the superb care of the nursing team, I was able to bring Hermes back home after two days of oxygen therapy and medication.
Vestridge Animal Clinic absolutely saved my cat's life. I have no doubt. But, I also feel that this clinic fosters a culture of caring and compassion, and for that, I will be forever grateful.
In short, Hermes and I highly recommend Vestridge Animal Clinic!

LOVE Dr England and her staff. I feel she goes above and beyond to make sure my cat receives the best care. I’ve only gone twice but she was great and explained everything so well. I noticed some blood on my cat and took her to be seen. Dr England said she has a parasite. She also picked up on her possibly having pancreatic issues with a comment I made in passing. I was expecting the bill to be very high but it wasn’t. I’ve very thankful I chose them as my kitty’s vet. Can’t recommend them enough.

I noticed some blood on my cat and took her to be seen. Dr England said she has a parasite. She also picked up on her possibly having pancreatic issues with a comment I made in passing. Thank you Dr. England & wonderful staff for saving my fur baby Jasper!!! She literally SAVED his life. This morning Alex a staff member brought her dog to clinic so Jasper could have a blood infusion because liver was failing and red cell count so low. They saved his life!!! Yes he is 14 but he still has life in him I cannot thank you guys enough and for Tracey Towns sending me to this wonderful vet. I highly recommend this Dr. England!!!! Thank you all!!!

I got my dog when Dr. England first bought Vestridge Animal Clinic. She won me over on our first meeting when she started calling Gabby a little fawn because of her unusual color. One day this week, due to pancreatitis, we thought Gabby might not make it through the day. The next day, Gabby was well enough to come home. Dr. England and her staff are knowledgable, patient, kind and will fight for the animal. I can't thank them enough. I live an hour away now, but will continue to use them.

Highly recommend - Dr. England and every one of her staff are considerate, approachable, partners in the health of both my cat and dog. I've had vets who are more authoritarian and less interested in clear health communication than in treating and quickly moving on to the next patient. Also, perhaps most importantly, Dr. England strives to practice evidence-based medicine and regularly cites studies that back up her clinical decisions. The team here is both communicative and efficient. Reasonable costs, to boot.

Dr. England and her staff went above and beyond to save my dog, Ollie's, life. My dad is a veterinarian in south Alabama and when my dog got very sick here in Birmingham, he knew exactly where I should go and pointed me to Vestridge Animal Clinic. I am so thankful there was a vet close by that my dad knew and trusted to take care of my dog. Dr. England performed surgery on my dog and then proceeded to stay with him through the night to ensure he came out of anesthesia without any problems. Vestridge Animal Clinic will go above and beyond to take care of your dog and I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone searching for an excellent veterinarian. Thank you, Dr. England and staff!!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. England and her staff. They saved our dog, Ollie's, life and went above and beyond to do so. Dr. England went as far as staying the night with our dog at her clinic to make sure he stabilized after a very long surgery. She was thorough and meticulous at treating Ollie and making sure we were updated on his progress and condition at all times. Dr. England is as caring as she is knowledgable...such a great thing to find in a vet. We are so thankful for Vestridge Animal Clinic!!

The practice is small and in need of a bit of cosmetic updating but they put their money where it really matters - in cutting edge technology, ongoing holistic education, and products to provide pets with comfort, health and healing in a truly loving and attentive environment. Non-invasive, pain relieving Japanese Laser Therapy helped our lame senior Golden walk again when nothing else worked. Nutraceuticals and lots of tlc gave our kitty in renal failure a much longer and happier life than she would otherwise have had. Visit your pet at Vestridge and you will find them in the comfort of blankies and soft bedding, freshly laundered stuffed animals, warming discs, clean fresh water and food, and always immaculate kennel and cage conditions regardless of whether boarding or hospitalized. My cat was very sick and I was told he had one of two serious illnesses. The diagnosis did not make sense to me and I was not going to give my cat steroids when they weren't even sure what was wrong with him! Thankfully, I found information about Vestridge and made an appointment for a second opinion. The staff member I spoke with by phone was wonderful and supportive. When I arrived at the clinic they made me feel right at home and it was obvious they cared about their ""patients"". Then I met Dr. England and after a few minutes I knew I was at the right place. She listened, looked over the records I brought, and examined my ""boy"". She seemed to know very quickly what the problem was --long story short, it wasn't what I had been told by the previous vet. I followed her instructions and my kitty is so much better! He's back to his old self again and I have Dr. England to thank! I will now take both of my cats to Vestridge. I feel blessed to have found such a knowledgeable and caring doctor for my feline children!

Dr England helped me when I was turned away from another vet with my suffering husky, he served me well for 11 of his 13 years and she dd exactlly what he needed to end his suffering! Thanks you for your compasion for someone who was not a regular client!!

Highly recommend - Dr. England and every one of her staff are considerate, approachable, partners in the health of both my cat and dog. I've had vets who are more authoritarian and less interested in clear health communication than in treating and quickly moving on to the next patient. Also, perhaps most importantly, Dr. England strives to practice evidence-based medicine and regularly cites studies that back up her clinical decisions. The team here is both communicative and efficient. Reasonable costs, to boot.

They took incredible care of dumb but lovable dog when he cut his chest open and needed stitches. They called and checked up on him frequently and helped us understand how to take care of his wounds....

Dr. England and her staff went above and beyond to save my dog, Ollie's, life. My dad is a veterinarian in south Alabama and when my dog got very sick here in Birmingham, he knew exactly where I should go and pointed me to Vestridge Animal Clinic. I am so thankful there was a vet close by that my dad knew and trusted to take care of my dog. Dr. England performed surgery on my dog and then proceeded to stay with him through the night to ensure he came out of anesthesia without any problems. Vestridge Animal Clinic will go above and beyond to take care of your dog and I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone searching for an excellent veterinarian. Thank you, Dr. England and staff!!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. England and her staff. They saved our dog, Ollie's, life and went above and beyond to do so. Dr. England went as far as staying the night with our dog at her clinic to make sure he stabilized after a very long surgery. She was thorough and meticulous at treating Ollie and making sure we were updated on his progress and condition at all times. Dr. England is as caring as she is knowledgable...such a great thing to find in a vet. We are so thankful for Vestridge Animal Clinic!!

Our family loves the folks at Vestridge. They've gone way above the call of duty in taking care of our beloved animals, even down to driving our older pup from Vestavia to Bessemer when we were out of town when it became clear he needed an eye specialist. They are patient with all my neurotic animal questions and, more importantly, with my little dogs. We are so lucky to have them in our area.

Non-invasive, pain relieving Japanese Laser Therapy helped our lame senior Golden walk again when nothing else worked. Nutraceuticals and lots of tlc gave our kitty in renal failure a much longer and happier life than she would otherwise have had. My cat was very sick and I was told he had one of two serious illnesses. The diagnosis did not make sense to me and I was not going to give my cat steroids when they weren't even sure what was wrong with him! Thankfully, I found information about Vestridge and made an appointment for a second opinion. The staff member I spoke with by phone was wonderful and supportive. When I arrived at the clinic they made me feel right at home and it was obvious they cared about their ""patients"". Then I met Dr. England and after a few minutes I knew I was at the right place. She listened, looked over the records I brought, and examined my ""boy"". She seemed to know very quickly what the problem was --long story short, it wasn't what I had been told by the previous vet. I followed her instructions and my kitty is so much better! He's back to his old self again and I have Dr. England to thank! I will now take both of my cats to Vestridge. I feel blessed to have found such a knowledgeable and caring doctor for my feline children!
