We had a great experience with Dr. Jay and staff with our Old English bulldog, Honey! She needed surgery due to an injury to her ACL and also a corrective surgery to her patella. Dr. Jay is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain in great detail the surgery that was performed on Honey's knee. Looked for a clinic for a while after my veterinarian moved out of state. I was a vet tech for a long time so I am picky and a worry wart. The staff and doctors here have made me feel very happy with my decision. They are kind, thorough, show a genuine care for the animals and their prices are very reasonable. Speaking of that, they don’t charge you an arm and a leg by walking in the door. A lot of clinics have become so out rageous it makes it hard for people to own pets. Now I know that things have to be paid for, salaries have to be paid and supplies have to be bought, but there is a point where it becomes ridiculous with how much you’re charged. You will not find this at this place, you will find reasonable prices, Staff that understands people live on budgets like most of us do and a very welcoming environment. I usually use a different vet clinic, but needed emergency help for my dog and they were able to get us in and examine her quickly. They had to keep her overnight for 2 nights, and called with updates each evening and encouraged us to come by as often as we wanted to see her. They took great care of her and were so kind to us when we were worried about our dog. I definitely recommend them to others who are looking for somewhere to treat their animals. Read Less

I had to bring my very sick cat to 280 animal medical center on a Sunday. The Doctor on call was amazing and took care of us right away. Despite the fact that I ended up having to put my cat down a few days later......I will now be bringing my 3 dogs in for their regular care. Our dog needs weekly laser treatments for her spine. Our normal Vet's laser is broken and we needed to find another Veternarian that offered treatments at a reasonable price.We found 280 Animal Medical Center online. We moved from northern Indiana in 2005 where we enjoyed the many benefits of the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine with one of the most modern and up-to-date animal hospitals in the nation. This remarkable facility added many years to the time we were permitted to spend with some of our most beloved pets. We were delighted to find many of the same attributes locally with the "280 Animal Medical Center" in Westover. Anyone who visits this clinic will be most impressed with its cleanliness (no odors commonly associated with animal clinics); state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic equipment; an ever-expanding impressive physical plant; and an extremely knowledgeable and compassionate staff. The physicians and their technical assistants' knowledge and competence is only exceeded by their enthusiasm and obvious love for their patients. We have also pleasantly discovered that the fees for the clinic's array of services is considerably lower than those of their competitors. We had a situation where our puppy fell off a bed and wasn't able to put weight on its foot. It was Sunday, although we weren't yet patients Dr. Jay met us at the clinic through the after hours number.
