My Pomeranian got a transparent eye scab after a day at the dog park. Dr.Pam was so sweet so gentle with him. She checked his eyes eith a flourecent dye test and washed out the spot. I called and got in right away. The staff was super sweet and all the pets there looked relaxed. They did not charge me an arm and a leg under $68. My landlord recommended this vet to me and I couldn't have been happier.I primarily came here to get a health certificate for my dog to fly him back to Florida.  I called and was able to get an appointment no problems.  I showed up 5 minutes early, but as with any place they were running a tad behind and I had to wait an additional 10 minutes past my scheduled time.  Once in a room a vet tech came in right away and did all the basics with my dog.  He was due for a rabies shot and I couldn't have been more happy with the service I received. The vet was very friendly, answered all my questions. When I asked about flying with the dog she suggested different over the counter sleeping medicines for the dog and gave me tons of advice. I would definitely recommend this vet to anyone.  I didn't get the impression they were trying to up-sell anything or trying to give me unnecessary tests for my dog. Read Less

Our poor dog suffered through three vets until we came here. Allergies. One vet tried hard to push the theoretical process of elimination to deal with allergens. 3 years later. Dog still has scabs, etc. V.c.a. Pushed an expensive medication. Dog slept for two years. ( there's more)Finally. Our current vet. College village took a blood test. Imagine that. Taking a little blood. (Sarcasm)We discovered we had a small issue, easily treatable, that is making dealing with the allergies easier. Also. The allergy medication we are on now works better and isn't the most expensive in the world. Imagine that. I went there to get a checkup for my hedgehog and it was a really great experience for the both of us. The vet knew exactly how to handle hedgehogs and made both him and I feel very comfortable. Her recommendations for how to deal with my baby boy, Dipper's itchiness worked out and he is feeling much better now! My favourite part of our visits is the praise we get for how sweet Dipper is! Apparently he is the most well behaved one the vet has met! It makes me feel like a very good owner and it definitely boosts Dipper's self esteem, haha. I've been taking my two cats to College Village for almost five years. All of the staff at College Village Animal Clinic is friendly, accommodating, and competent. I've never had a problem getting an appointment when my pet is sick. They care about both your pet and you. They understand that there's a balance between what's medically necessary and what's feasible for the pet owner, both monetarily and emotionally. The doctors know what they know and they know what they don't know, and they're honest about whether a diagnostic test (say, an x-ray) result would change treatment options. They killed my dog. I blame them 100% for my dog passing. I brought my dog in to get a check up and the vet there said my dog was super healthy and would live 5 plus years (my dog was ten). A month later, out of nowhere, my dog started drooling so much it concerned me. Took him to the College Village Animal Clinic, and the vet didn't know what was wrong with my dog. Advised me to get x-rays; that possibly something could be stuck in my dog's throat causing my dog to drool so much. Took the x-rays, and for $240, all the vet could say to me was to hydrate my dog with electrolytes, and give it support. The next day my dog was doing so terrible, and I had no idea what to do. I decided to take my dog to another vet just to get another opinion and also, I was so unhappy with the vet at College, that I asked for my dog's records, and went to Cornerstone. I would advise anyone who truly cares for their animal, not to go to College Village. The vet there, is all about how much money he can get from you. Gives no results, and constantly recommending you to get this ad that for your dog, which is all unnecessary. I am writing this review to help other people who care about their pets to go to a place that genuinely cares for your animals well-being. I don't want anyone to experience the tragedy that I went through with my beloved dog. I brought my dog in on Thursday, and it past away on Saturday. And I hate College Animal Clinic with a passion for not being more concerned about my dog's well-being. It's hard for me to explain in detail what happened. It just breaks my heart. If you want a great animal clinic to go to, go to Cornerstone. They are sincere, and they care more about your pets well being than trying to make an extra dollar. We have had some hard cases, cats & dogs and they never cease to amaze me with their compassion, genuineness and expertise with their care. We always know they are in the best hands possible with the entire crew. I have even brought my own personal pets there. When GerBear was showing more significant decline with her health and I knew it was her time, they were so kind to me and her through a very challenging time. GerBear went very peacefully, knowing she was dearly loved and for that too I am eternally grateful. Thank you for all that you do help out the animals in our community. They have been also keeping a watch on the animals available for adoption at Anchorage Animal Care & Control and have offered veterinary services beyond the initial vet visit to potential adopters.
