I needed to be seen quickly due to an emergency. They accommodated me as a drop in allowing the doc to see my pet between his regularly scheduled appointments. Staff was super friendly and made Tune feel very comfortable under less than ideal circumstances. They really care about your pet. Dr. Rapp was great on the phone communicating his findings etc. I would recommend Cornerstone to anyone. And their prices are very reasonable.

I've been to different vets in anchorage and I went to Cornerstone yesterday because my dog was having some issues and as soon as he came out he was back to being happy despite his hurting ears. I love this place they care for your pets just as much as you do. I've had really bad experiences with the VCA, WHICH ARE HORRIBLE IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE. Everyone who works at the cornerstone is pleasant to work with and are super polite. Thanks for helping Bandit out.

I've used lots of vets in lots of states and absolutely no one compares to Dr. Scott Rapp at Cornerstone. He is very detailed in his care and extremely compassionate and concerned. His love of animals is clear yet he is exceedingly skilled and knowledgeable. This is the best combination for a vet. I've referred friends in other parts of Alaska to him and they've been so impressed that they continue to come to Anchorage just to see him. Front desk staff is also good. Plus they offer a military discount! Super place.

I recently adopted an 8 month old rescue from the AK Bully Rescue, and she had to have her left rear leg amputated. They performed the surgery and did an AMAZING job. I have had family dogs my whole life, but never one of my own. I cannot express how incredibly grateful I am for their entire staff from the vet himself to the front desk gals. I am a "worry wart", and they take my numerous calls of questions or concerns with grace, patience, kindness and confidence in their knowledge of the matter. The vet is one of the kindest vets I have come across, and he really listens to what I have to say which is HUGE. The tech always comforts me and gives me advice about little things she notices about my pup. The front desk girls are always happy to see us, and seem to know a lot about pet care and what is normal versus what is not. They are quick and efficient, and go out of their way to make sure we are taken care of. Prices have been fair thus far granted we have not had any emergencies or anything, and for that I am more than thankful. I can't brag enough about them! They truly are a great veterinary clinic that has you and your pets best interests in mind. Thank you Cornerstone Animal Hospital staff!

The vets are all thorough, caring and great listeners. I have taken my dogs to Dr. Rapp for very difficult cases-removal of ALL of my Husky dog's teeth, and removal of anal glands, from my other dog, and both recoveries have been faster than expected and very successful. Great place to take your pets. I take my pets there for all of their medical needs. And, the hey are never afraid to go there.!

My family loves all the Vets and the staff at Cornerstone. Amazing customer service and always friendly. They take care of my two dogs well. I always leave there thinking about the wonderful experience we had! They also have been able to answer simple health questions we have had over the phone without needing to come in! That has been really nice for the super simple stuff. The only problem I will have is finding a replacement for when we move out of state! I recommend them all the time!

I always leave there thinking about the wonderful experience we had! They also have been able to answer simple health questions we have had over the phone without needing to come in! After our pup was dealing with a stomach issue that lasted a few days I looked for a vet open on weekends and came across cornerstone. They opened at 8 am on a Saturday, and even though they had no appointments available we were able to drop off our dog for her to get checked out in between the other appointments. I received a call from the vet about two hours later giving me the results of her exam and what his recommendations were. When we showed up to pick her up we were shown to a room quickly where the vet came in and went over everything with us. The cost was very typical for most vet visits but the service was very good. We have found our vet for our time in anchorage.

We are new imports to Anchorage from the midwest. Dr. Montgomery was great. He knelt down at our dog's level and my dog Scooter has never been so calm for a vet visit. Instead of pushing expensive extra procedures, injections, teeth cleanings, xrays etc. (The usual whre we came from) he explained to us why Alaska is a healthier place for dogs. We opted for a dietary change .... a nicer option for our 12 yr old pup.. And he got a FREE nail trimming! The Dr. asked us to call each day and through the weekend, to make sure Scooter was improving. Awesome experience!!

My family loves this office. We have never had a bad experience. Our dog has seen a couple of the doctors and they have always been friendly and take the time to explain things. They are also very great about answering follow up questions if you call them. They are very understanding about paying out of pocket and they always take great care of our dog. Would highly recommend.

My 5 year old cat got ill. I brought him here, to find out he had kidney disease. I had to not be selfish and do what was best for him; Dr. Montgomery is fantastic! He had excellent and sound advise and I couldn't have asked for a better vet for my cat. i was able to do a private cremation so I could get him back. Also, fair prices!
When I get another animal, this will be my forever vet to take them to. Clean facility, understanding and caring staff. A+!!

We adore the staff at Cornerstone Animal Hospital. The front desk ladies are always eager to play with our young son and always give our sweet hound lots of loving. Dr. Gardener Montgomery truly loves our dogs like we do, and he constantly goes out of his way to check in and make sure our dog is well after her visits. We cannot sing his praises enough, and we highly recommend him to anyone seeking a vet in the Anchorage area! Dr. Montgomery takes every precautionary necessary when trying to find the cause of a problem, and he is incredibly thorough in his work. So thankful to have found this office when we moved to the area!

Dr. Rapp and his staff have taken care of my dogs for over 10 years and have ALWAYS given the proper personal care and attention to my pets. Everyone from the front office staff to the vet techs are professional and caring to the pets and owners. In an emergency Dr. Rapp has always be able to meet our needs and only a phone call away for questions. The clinic is able to get labs done within 24 hrs which is better than my personal MD. My dogs have had to have a few surgery (tooth pulled, broken nail bed from running, gland issues) and we never had any infection issues post-surgery and always had above and beyond care both during and after surgery and followup app ts. Hands down the best Vet and clinic in Anchorage!

Two cats (one recently put to sleep), a very active and working GSP, a breeding/working lab, and an older lab mix. We've been to several Vets around anchorage, but settled on Cornerstone about 2 yrs ago. The wait staff are often lacking in customer service, but I don't go to the vets office to see them. All the vets are extremely professional, they take the time to answer questions, and help you to make some of the more difficult decisions, without trying to sell you crap or services that you don't need. Highly recommended. 4 out of 5 b/c the parking lot is horrible to turn out of, and the front office staff could use some work. They also offer military discounts.

I've brought my cat here on several occasions, and have always been impressed and pleased with the doctors and staff. I called on a Thursday evening about a nuisance (not emergent situation), and got an appointment for the next day at 8:00am. I didn't feel rushed, and had plenty of time to ask questions. I was asked to call back a week later and give an update on how my cat was faring, and was surprised to speak directly to the doctor. I won't be taking my pets to anyone else!

We are new imports to Anchorage from the midwest. Dr. Montgomery was great. He knelt down at our dog's level and my dog Scooter has never been so calm for a vet visit. Instead of pushing expensive extra procedures, injections, teeth cleanings, xrays etc. (The usual whre we came from) he explained to us why Alaska is a healthier place for dogs. We opted for a dietary change .... a nicer option for our 12 yr old pup.. And he got a FREE nail trimming! The Dr. asked us to call each day and through the weekend, to make sure Scooter was improving. Awesome experience!!

My family loves this office. We have never had a bad experience. Our dog has seen a couple of the doctors and they have always been friendly and take the time to explain things. They are also very great about answering follow up questions if you call them. They are very understanding about paying out of pocket and they always take great care of our dog. Would highly recommend.

My 5 year old cat got ill. I brought him here, to find out he had kidney disease. I had to not be selfish and do what was best for him; Dr. Montgomery is fantastic! He had excellent and sound advise and I couldn't have asked for a better vet for my cat. i was able to do a private cremation so I could get him back. Also, fair prices!
When I get another animal, this will be my forever vet to take them to. Clean facility, understanding and caring staff. A+!!

We adore the staff at Cornerstone Animal Hospital. The front desk ladies are always eager to play with our young son and always give our sweet hound lots of loving. Dr. Gardener Montgomery truly loves our dogs like we do, and he constantly goes out of his way to check in and make sure our dog is well after her visits. We cannot sing his praises enough, and we highly recommend him to anyone seeking a vet in the Anchorage area! Dr. Montgomery takes every precautionary necessary when trying to find the cause of a problem, and he is incredibly thorough in his work. So thankful to have found this office when we moved to the area!

Dr. Rapp and his staff have taken care of my dogs for over 10 years and have ALWAYS given the proper personal care and attention to my pets. Everyone from the front office staff to the vet techs are professional and caring to the pets and owners. In an emergency Dr. Rapp has always be able to meet our needs and only a phone call away for questions. The clinic is able to get labs done within 24 hrs which is better than my personal MD. My dogs have had to have a few surgery (tooth pulled, broken nail bed from running, gland issues) and we never had any infection issues post-surgery and always had above and beyond care both during and after surgery and followup app ts. Hands down the best Vet and clinic in Anchorage!

Two cats (one recently put to sleep), a very active and working GSP, a breeding/working lab, and an older lab mix. We've been to several Vets around anchorage, but settled on Cornerstone about 2 yrs ago. The wait staff are often lacking in customer service, but I don't go to the vets office to see them. All the vets are extremely professional, they take the time to answer questions, and help you to make some of the more difficult decisions, without trying to sell you crap or services that you don't need. Highly recommended. 4 out of 5 b/c the parking lot is horrible to turn out of, and the front office staff could use some work. They also offer military discounts.

I've brought my cat here on several occasions, and have always been impressed and pleased with the doctors and staff. I called on a Thursday evening about a nuisance (not emergent situation), and got an appointment for the next day at 8:00am. I didn't feel rushed, and had plenty of time to ask questions. I was asked to call back a week later and give an update on how my cat was faring, and was surprised to speak directly to the doctor. I won't be taking my pets to anyone else!

I went here to get my cat a checkup and found the waitstaff to be the most unfriendly people I have ever met. The doctor is very affable and makes a great effort to meet you and your animal. If that was the only person to deal with this place would get 5 stars, as it is the receptionists are the people you deal with to give your money to and they need a lesson on people skills.
