Our dog has severe anxiety and fear when it comes to getting his nails trimmed. So much so, that now he's now afraid of going to the vet in general. We've been searching for another vet and it's a tremendous relief to finally find one who understands and is willing to work with us. Not the first time we've been here. We've taken both our dogs here in the past. This time we took one of our dogs in because we thought he needed his anal glands released. Great staff all around! The front desk is nice and helpful. The techs are wonderful! The vet we have seen, Mandy, is wonderful! She really works with my dogs and makes them feel comfortable being at the vet. Victoria did so wonderful with my dog that he would misbehave for other people. They treated my fur babies so well! My dog was really sick, he ended up having hemorrhagic gastroenteritis and was bleeding a lot. Three other "emergency" vet clinics had turned him away because they did not have room for him. This clinic was fully booked as well but they found a way to fit him in. They took great care of him and he is all better now! The doctor also called the next day to make sure he was doing ok. Absolutely amazing!! Not only could they squeeze me in but they were flexible with the price so that my dog could get the care she needed. This is one of the only places I have ever been to in the medical field where patient care is truly number one priority and it is a blessing to the Anchorage area. Dr. Seymore (probably spelled that wrong) was the one helping us today and she was a not only knowledgeable but also very pleasant and efficient. Really a wonderful place to go. After searching for years for a vet who could help us with our 9 year old dog with severe separation anxiety, Dr. Seymour was able to provide caring and expert help both medically and behaviorally. We spent years and hundreds of dollars trying to help Rags be a happier and healthier dog. Her behavior was so extreme we spent many hours at the Pet Emergency. We love her so much and putting her down has never been an option even though he behavior was extreme and were told by several doctors that she has the worst separation anxiety they have ever seen. We were even at the point of considering to re-home her just so she might have more room to run around and exert herself. We were that desperate to take care of our beloved dog. We read every book and tried just about everything we could learn. It wasn't until we found Dr Seymour that our lives changed. She found the right medication for her and gave us a few tips on behavior.;..for both the dog and the family! Rags is a totally different dog who is much happier!
