After setting up an appointment I was able to call in and reschedule a few days earlier than originally planned, the receptionist was quick and very helpful. The vet and tech were both very pleasant to visit with and were very kind with our finicky feline. There was no "well we can't be sure so we need Xrays and a full blood panel and you may want to consider this other 400$ thing over here." We even got a note with suggestions from the vet rather than having them talk over our heads, charge us, and then push us out the door. We will definitely be returning for future exams. Read Less

Dogs were treated beautifully, as usual. Professional vets/techs 100% of the time. FRONT DEST STAFF, one in particular, requires additional training when dealing with the public. I understand having a bad day. I deal with the community on a daily basis but I would NEVER cause anyone to feel as though they were not welcome in my facility. If I had not already been there and checked in, I would have left. I was given the complete cold shoulder. I was looked “at” with putrid hatred. I was completely talked “AT” vs “to” or “with”. I’ve NEVER been treated like that before and felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome there. Not sure what we’re going to do but having a chat with their manager is first and foremost. We’ve spent a lot of money at that clinic. We CHOOSE to take our family there. I think however, after today’s situation, we may need to rethink our choices. Again, I am not sure what I did to cause such malice but it was clearly evident. If you’re going to work in customer service, leave your opinions at the door. Not saying that the customer is always right. I am saying that the customer who is treated poorly will share that story more often, 10 x more frequent than how their animals were treated. You couldn't, because it was perfect as always. The ability to request an appointment online was so easy. Your fast response honoring the time/date I selected, made it easy to plan for my already busy day. We were happily greeted by all. My questions were answered, concerns heard, and my baby was treated with love. Best vet shop in the little town of Palmer. The staff is very good, and the vets are great. They really treat your animals like little family members. Also, a sign of a place that cares more about your pets then money, they advertise other hospitals that are 24/7 as they are not. I just took my new pup there for his 6 month check up and shots, and they called the next day just to check on him. Would highly recommend if someone is looking for a great family vet. Read Less

Ask questions and do research otherwise you can't rely on them or any Vet to catch a serious problem. I took my boy in several times for growths and no problem was found. Recently, I took him back and all of a sudden he's got late stage cancer. It seems like someone would have noticed or suggested something. Basically its a death sentence for my best friend. As far as the staff the Vets were OK but not really instinctive like one with years of experience but adequate for regular duties and techs were decent but the receptionists were subtly rude and whenever I would walk away from the counter they would start whispering. Very rude and disrespectful is what I call it. It might benefit them to have some sensitivity training,especially considering the role they play. After having a bad experiance with our previous vet we found comfort and exception care with North Star Animal Hospital. The service, facility and care have been top notch. Our dog 13 year old dog is happier and healthier then ever. I also like thier modern billing system and the online pet record app. I highly recommend taking your pet here. Read Less

Staff and Dr. Knox were very nice and knowledgeable about me bringing in a less-than-friendly dog. They appreciated the fact that he was restrained properly and muzzled when we came in. Later on in the visit, Yukon was quite happy to take treats from them both. It was a great experience. Read Less

Dr. Henry is great with animals. She sits on the floor with them as opposed to having them go on the table (my dogs are only 20lbs, too. I think she likes them to feel as comfortable as possible.) She's also very energetic and kind. The front desk staff is professional as well.Read Less

This place is by far the best Animal Hospital in the Valley. It's really small and has a nice home environment. The Dr's & techs are polite and really care about your pets' well being. Price wise, it's quite affordable. My dog went in because he was sneezing a lot, turns out he's ok, but they only charged my $30 for the whole visit, which I booked the day before. To take your reptiles to another vet who acutually knows about them and doesn't hand out anti-biotics without a diagnosis. Too quick to medicate which can make a reptile worse. Also felt like Dr Beck was guessing her way thru it. Never again will I take a reptile there. She might be good with farm animals, dogs, cats.... but didn't like her knowledge of my lizard. In a word ... "Wonderful." Dr. Henry and Dr. Beck are wonderful vets and exceptional people. You'd be hard pressed to find more compassionate care anywhere. ALL office personnel -- the doctors themselves and their staff -- are top notch. They have (and show) complete respect and compassion for both humans and animals alike. They're in the "business" for the love of animals ... and it shows. I've had many, many visits to their office with young and healthy and old and sick animals alike. I have never had to worry about unnecessary procedures and costs. Animal care is not cheap, nor do I expect it to be. The doctors are honest and truthful in their assessments, but most of all, THEY CARE!!!! Read Less

Their service is great. Their staff is wonderful. They'll fix your pet right up. It's very easy to get in and be seen (same day apt.). Our pets love it there. Their prices are little high, but no more so than any vet I suppose. You do get wonderful care for your pet.I have had one long wait, but only once and it's worth it. Read Less
