My cat was scheduled for a bath brushing and shaving on the belly and bottom, she was NOT bathed not brushed and the shave was the worst I have had in her 11 years 👎I paid 450. To have them do blood work only.i have to have her sedated because of her hips where she was shot by a pellet gun is still sore. I got up at 4:00 Amanda drove 300 miles and was very disappointed very now I have to brush her and make her angry with every Bush. They were very quick to hand out meds and then to find out they made her sick and ended up taking her to Valdez clinic where I will go from now on 559. Is too much to waste it costs me another 150 in Valdez because my cat was dehydrated from throwing up from the meds Palmer vet gave her. Palmer vet never called me back either not good business 👎

More like a negative 5! They do not care about the animals and do not provide individualized care. They are always overbooked so even when you make an appointment the wait time is still minimum 30 min...
More like a negative 5! They do not care about the animals and do not provide individualized care. They are always overbooked so even when you make an appointment the wait time is still minimum 30 minutes after the appointment time. The techs are rude and impatient. The last time I went in for my dogs nail trim appointment - after waiting for 30 minutes - the techs were arguing outside the room about who had to do this nail trim and that it had just been shoved in the schedule (even though the appointment was made a week in advance). My adopted dog has special needs due to anxiety issues and even though I re-explain every time I make an appointment for nail trims they never remember or have any notes when I get there and then I just get attitude from the techs which makes my dog trust them even less. The last time went so badly that I had to call it after only getting one paw done because continuing under the circumstances would cause more future issues for my dog. I was asked by the tech why I don't sedate my dog before coming in. Well for one, NOONE from my 'so called vet' has ever talked about any options to make the process easier and for two, if they would pay attention to individual needs and plan accordingly when appointments are made we wouldn't be having to talk about sedation because with some patience and professional help it can go pretty smoothly. I will add that the only appointment that went well was the first one with Dr Slaughter in the room and a tech assisting her. From then on it's been a nightmare every time. I even requested to have Dr Slaughter call me after we had our first bad experience because I wanted to talk about making sure there were notes in my file about repeating the first method since it worked the best. I never got a call from the Dr and the remainder of the appointments got progressively worse. Maybe the Dr's need to be more involved and better monitor what's going on with their patients and the people working for them. I would never go here again -even if it was the last vet on earth!!

Depends on what vet you get for the day. I got a visiting that who was spot-on with all the problems my dog had and I knew. I didn't have to have constant blood test talk of surgery etc etc. My dog is...
Depends on what vet you get for the day. I got a visiting that who was spot-on with all the problems my dog had and I knew. I didn't have to have constant blood test talk of surgery etc etc. My dog is very old it wouldn't make sense to do open heart surgery. The two vets that recently bought the place are blood tests happy and everything needs an expensive pill. I really don't like going there anymore since the owners have changed.

I feel when my dog Sam was seen here that they helped and he is doing great now.
It was very busy they had a vet emergency and they handled owners/ parents of the pets with compassion and kindness.

There prices are rather high they used to be reasonable with the previous owner ship. the new vets are awsome but you pay for it. Dental cleaning for 2 small dogs Over $800 I was floored.

For the past 15 years we have gone to Palmer Vet and we are looking forward to the next 15! Through the good times with our puppies to the sad times with our seniors Palmer Vet has been by our side! The staff has changed over the years but the core values of compassion and care have remained the same.
I would recommend them, and do often, to anyone who is looking for care for their fur-babies. Palmer vet staff understands that our pets are a huge part of our family.

They came highly recommended by a close friend and she was right. They are the best vet we've ever had take care of our dogs. The staff is super nice and our vet, Dr. Campbell is the very best. We have four dogs and all have individual needs. No matter who we're there with, she always asks how all of our babies are doing. The clinic follows up by phone to check on everything. Our Blue was sick yesterday and they called twice to see how he was doing. The clinic is the best and I would recommend them to anyone.

Dr. Tuomi and Dr. Williams do a gret job. They have taken care of various family pets since 1991. They have have performed operations for fishhooks swallowed by silly dogs, removed giant gall stones, mended broken legs, cleaned out massive ear infections, spayed cats, and then some, .... and even consulted us as the pets have aged on how to care for them as they go. Great people. Great place.

For the past 17 years our labs have been going here to see both Dr. Williams and Dr. Tuomi. They (and all of the staff at the clinic) have been absolutely awesome- we can't recommend them enough. They are caring and compassionate, knowledgeable and friendly. They have squeezed us in when one of the dogs needed an emergency visit, and have always provided us with amazing care.

I took my dog in have her nose scoped and I had dropped her off at 8:30 am. I called to check on her to see how she was doing, how every furry parent should, and the receptionist said that she had not...
I took my dog in have her nose scoped and I had dropped her off at 8:30 am. I called to check on her to see how she was doing, how every furry parent should, and the receptionist said that she had not gone in for surgery, at this time it was 12:00 pm. I was then asked if I wanted my dogs teeth to be pulled, my dog is 4 years old and has yet to have teeth problems. The next time I called was at 2:30 and she had still not gone to surgery yet. During this time the receptionist still was unable to tell me just how she was doing and if everything was okay. At 4:30 I called again and they told me that she was done and that I could pick her up at 5:30 pm. During this time the receptionist said, when I asked how she was AGAIN, " That she just worked up front and didn't go back there and didn't know". When I arrived to pick her up they brought her out and lined up medications for her to take and STILL had yet to tell me what was wrong with my dog. When she asked if I wanted to talk to the veterinarian she spent more time helping someone else before I could get answers. As you can imagine this was very stressful, as our dogs are family members and loved so much. The service I received today was uncaring, at times rude, and not a place that I will be taking my animals back to.

The staff and vet techs treat you and your pets like family! I won't go anywhere else! I live in Seward and drive all the way to Palmer because I feel so strongly about giving my pets the best care available!

Our family has been using Palmer Vet Clinic since moving to the Valley 31 yrs ago, back when they cared for our horses and mules as well as the dogs and cats. Our grown children now use the clinic for their pets also. Dr. Tuomi and Dr. Williams are amazing and Dr. Jessica is a top notch addition to the staff. The vet techs and front desk staff are amazing as well. I could go on and on singing their praises. It gives me great pleasure to recommend them in my opinion as the 'Best Vet Clinic Around'.

Can't say enough good things about these people and especially Dr. Jessica. They have shown my dog and I such compassion and empathy in a very difficult time while remaining professional on all levels. Furthermore, I was able to sit in the reception area and observe their treatment of other clients and I must say that I was more than impressed. They also moved my dog into a private room so I could just be with her and comfort her during her time of need. If you are looking for kind, compassionate people to care for your pet, this IS the place!

You can tell a good business by how full the waiting room is, Palmer Veterinary Clinic is no exception. I came in with no appointment and was helped very quickly with a minimum wait.
The staff was fantastic showing care and concern with my little dog as they did with the other pets that were there.
Dr Williams, was a true professional with a good attitude.After the evaluation, he sat down and explained my dogs condition in laymen's terms so I could understand exactly the issues my pup had. The previous vet I had taken my dog to in Anchorage, explained very little and presented me with a huge bill.
Here it was just the opposite.
Dr Williams gave me better information and incite on exactly what was going on, the options I had along with a much better prognosis which was not as grim as once thought with my visit to an Anchorage Vet.
Seldom do you find a business that really seems to care, are professional and does not inflate the price.
Palmer Veterinary Clinic will now be the only place I will take my pets.
Thanks so much to Dr Williams as well as the staff for providing truly professional care and service.

They are always overbooked so even when you make an appointment the wait time is still minimum 30 minutes after the appointment time. The techs are rude and impatient. Depends on what vet you get for the day. I got a visiting that who was spot-on with all the problems my dog had and I knew. I didn't have to have constant blood test talk of surgery etc etc. My dog is very old it wouldn't make sense to do open heart surgery. The two vets that recently bought the place are blood tests happy and everything needs an expensive pill. I really don't like going there anymore since the owners have changed.

I was then asked if I wanted my dogs teeth to be pulled, my dog is 4 years old and has yet to have teeth problems. The next time I called was at 2:30 and she had still not gone to surgery yet. During this time the receptionist still was unable to tell me just how she was doing and if everything was okay. At 4:30 I called again and they told me that she was done and that I could pick her up at 5:30 pm. During this time the receptionist said, when I asked how she was AGAIN, " That she just worked up front and didn't go back there and didn't know". When I arrived to pick her up they brought her out and lined up medications for her to take and STILL had yet to tell me what was wrong with my dog. When she asked if I wanted to talk to the veterinarian she spent more time helping someone else before I could get answers. As you can imagine this was very stressful, as our dogs are family members and loved so much. The service I received today was uncaring, at times rude, and not a place that I will be taking my animals back to.

Doctors Tuomi and Williams are the best! Been taking my dogs to them since 1985 and these folks are the most professional and compassionate Veterinarian's in the business! The staff and vet techs treat you and your pets like family! I won't go anywhere else! I live in Seward and drive all the way to Palmer because I feel so strongly about giving my pets the best care available!

Our family has been using Palmer Vet Clinic since moving to the Valley 31 yrs ago, back when they cared for our horses and mules as well as the dogs and cats. Our grown children now use the clinic for their pets also. Dr. Tuomi and Dr. Williams are amazing and Dr. Jessica is a top notch addition to the staff. The vet techs and front desk staff are amazing as well. I could go on and on singing their praises. It gives me great pleasure to recommend them in my opinion as the 'Best Vet Clinic Around'.

Can't say enough good things about these people and especially Dr. Jessica. They have shown my dog and I such compassion and empathy in a very difficult time while remaining professional on all levels. Furthermore, I was able to sit in the reception area and observe their treatment of other clients and I must say that I was more than impressed. They also moved my dog into a private room so I could just be with her and comfort her during her time of need. If you are looking for kind, compassionate people to care for your pet, this IS the place!

You can tell a good business by how full the waiting room is, Palmer Veterinary Clinic is no exception. I came in with no appointment and was helped very quickly with a minimum wait.
The staff was fantastic showing care and concern with my little dog as they did with the other pets that were there.
Dr Williams, was a true professional with a good attitude.After the evaluation, he sat down and explained my dogs condition in laymen's terms so I could understand exactly the issues my pup had. The previous vet I had taken my dog to in Anchorage, explained very little and presented me with a huge bill.
Here it was just the opposite.
Dr Williams gave me better information and incite on exactly what was going on, the options I had along with a much better prognosis which was not as grim as once thought with my visit to an Anchorage Vet.
Seldom do you find a business that really seems to care, are professional and does not inflate the price.
Palmer Veterinary Clinic will now be the only place I will take my pets.
Thanks so much to Dr Williams as well as the staff for providing truly professional care and service.
