If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! The entire staff at caring Critters, from Dr. Zimmerman on, are so caring & compassionate. They have been our pet care provider since the office opened, & have seen several of our fur-babies from puppyhood through the end. Love that they always discuss any & all options for every situation, have honest conversations when things are tough, & show amazing card & compassion, both to our furry ones, & to us two legged sort. Dr Zimmerman and her staff are wonderful. Our Collie has a skin issue of sorts, and we're working determine the cause (something the previous vet never did), to figure a solution to try to eliminate the condition (rather than prescribe meds every 3 months per the previous vet).
Dr Zimmerman took nearly 30 mins discussing dog skin issues with me, helping understand the what, why, and how.
We're very lucky to have had Caring Critters, Dr Zimmerman and her staff recommended to us.

We had a beloved dog that developed cancerous tumors in her throat. The vets at Caring Critters helped us try to cure them with meds but it didn't work. After a few weeks I became concerned that our dog would become unable to breathe and I didn't want her to suffer. Caring Critters made an emergency appointment for us to bring her in and have her euthanized. It was a very hard decision but the vet and the assistant were very caring and kind to us during the procedure. A few weeks later they even sent us a condolence card on our loss. We moved away from the area but we would definitely recommend them as a veterinary source. They are good people who love animals and are nice to clients.

Caring critters has been our vet since 2001. Saved our boxer Dino. He went onto live a little over 11 years then we got Maxie. 7 to 8 weeks old. He got bone cancer. Everything was done for him. He added about 11 &half. We had our dogs cremated and caring critters handled that for us. We now have Missy a mixed hound. Shes s rescue dog and yes caring critters take care of her needs. I've used Caring Critters a few times for my cat, Piper and was very pleased with the service I received. I intend to use them again before long for the newest kitten, Levi in my household. Caring Critters really does live up to their name as they truly are a "caring" animal hospital. Dr. Zimmerman has three or four cats of her own so she really shows love and compassion for animals. I think these people are totally unethical. They charge 700 dollars to neuter a 7 lb male dog. They know you have to have it done so they take total advantage of that. When I called them they wanted over 700 bucks! I had my dog neutered at a spay and neuter clinic in Mesa for $82.00 which included pain medicine and a nail trim. They don't care about animals they care about money. We rescued a chihuahua that had records for 9 years of abuse from these people. The previous owner took her in every time she looked sideways. At the very least once a month. Every time they managed to find something wrong, if they didn't, they expressed her anal glands. She was horrified if you touched her hind end. We got her at 9 years old and never took her to the vet again. She lived happily for 6 more years until her little hips failed her. Never needed her anal glands expressed, never needed the ton of meds they had the previous owner giving her. BTW, we got her because the previous owner couldn't care for her because she had Alzheimer's. They took total advantage of her decreased mental abilities. Shame on these people!

My dog is a challenge. No one knows what happened to her in her first few months of life but it was obviously abusive. Six years later, despite countless hours of training she still acts out of fear with strangers. In spite of her unpredictable behavior the Doctor and her staff are always kind to us.
As long as they'll have us we'll continue to take advantage of the best vet I've ever had.

We'll always be grateful for the caring way Dr. Zimmerman and Natasha helped my Mom see her 17 year old dog slip peacefully away when it was time for her to be released from her suffering. My sister and I had done several weeks of research on all the places in the area. Cost was not a consideration, in this instance, but it's good that the services were the most reasonable of the three "finalist" good places we chose, as that IS a consideration for MANY folks even though they love their pets as much as we love ours. We did a little planning ahead but when my Mom called me and said it was time, I was able to make fast arrangements long-distance and she and her dog, who was in distress, were seen within the hour. (As fast as I could alert the pre-arranged transportation for my elderly Mom.) My sister and I were unable to accompany Mom so feeling that she and her dog would be cared for in the most compassionate way possible was the major consideration. We are happy to say that the arrangements were made expeditiously and everything was taken care of perfectly. Mom has a great loss to deal with but it was the best possible experience under the circumstances. I don't normally give a good review with only one visit to a place but Mom's approaching 90 and won't have another pet. If we were to have a pet, in the Mesa/Apache Junction area, we would certainly be retuning to Dr. Zimmerman's practice.

From out of town, The time had come to say goodbye to my old Jack Rat Buddy. After explaining all the options and making sure I would have no regrets, the Vet was very supportive of my decision. As upsetting as it was to say goodbye I can't imagine anything more they could have done to make it easier. Buddy slipped away eating real bacon and being held. The staff even sent me a condolence card! We just adopted a little sweetie from the shelter and will be bringing her here for all vet services. Amazing staff!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! The entire staff at caring Critters, from Dr. Zimmerman on, are so caring & compassionate. They have been our pet care provider since the office opened, & have seen several of our fur-babies from puppyhood through the end. Love that they always discuss any & all options for every situation, have honest conversations when things are tough, & show amazing card & compassion, both to our furry ones, & to us two legged sort. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Dr Zimmerman and her staff are wonderful. Our Collie has a skin issue of sorts, and we're working determine the cause (something the previous vet never did), to figure a solution to try to eliminate the condition (rather than prescribe meds every 3 months per the previous vet).
Dr Zimmerman took nearly 30 mins discussing dog skin issues with me, helping understand the what, why, and how.
We're very lucky to have had Caring Critters, Dr Zimmerman and her staff recommended to us.

Zoloft was a rescue, and the people at Caring Critters worked hard to get him back to good health. I appreciate their concern and effort, and am grateful for their help. We had a beloved dog that developed cancerous tumors in her throat. The vets at Caring Critters helped us try to cure them with meds but it didn't work. After a few weeks I became concerned that our dog would become unable to breathe and I didn't want her to suffer. Caring Critters made an emergency appointment for us to bring her in and have her euthanized. It was a very hard decision but the vet and the assistant were very caring and kind to us during the procedure. A few weeks later they even sent us a condolence card on our loss. We moved away from the area but we would definitely recommend them as a veterinary source. They are good people who love animals and are nice to clients.

Caring critters has been our vet since 2001. Saved our boxer Dino. He went onto live a little over 11 years then we got Maxie. 7 to 8 weeks old. He got bone cancer. Everything was done for him. He added about 11 &half. We had our dogs cremated and caring critters handled that for us. We now have Missy a mixed hound. Shes s rescue dog and yes caring critters take care of her needs. They go beyond 5 Starr's, they take care if your pets and you. Thank you Dr. Z & STAFF

I've used Caring Critters a few times for my cat, Piper and was very pleased with the service I received. I intend to use them again before long for the newest kitten, Levi in my household. Caring Critters really does live up to their name as they truly are a "caring" animal hospital. Dr. Zimmerman has three or four cats of her own so she really shows love and compassion for animals. I highly recommend "Caring Critters Animal Hospital."

I think these people are totally unethical. They charge 700 dollars to neuter a 7 lb male dog. They know you have to have it done so they take total advantage of that. When I called them they wanted over 700 bucks! I had my dog neutered at a spay and neuter clinic in Mesa for $82.00 which included pain medicine and a nail trim. They don't care about animals they care about money. We rescued a chihuahua that had records for 9 years of abuse from these people. The previous owner took her in every time she looked sideways. At the very least once a month. Every time they managed to find something wrong, if they didn't, they expressed her anal glands. She was horrified if you touched her hind end. We got her at 9 years old and never took her to the vet again. She lived happily for 6 more years until her little hips failed her. Never needed her anal glands expressed, never needed the ton of meds they had the previous owner giving her. BTW, we got her because the previous owner couldn't care for her because she had Alzheimer's. They took total advantage of her decreased mental abilities. Shame on these people!

My dog is a challenge. No one knows what happened to her in her first few months of life but it was obviously abusive. Six years later, despite countless hours of training she still acts out of fear with strangers. In spite of her unpredictable behavior the Doctor and her staff are always kind to us.
As long as they'll have us we'll continue to take advantage of the best vet I've ever had.

We'll always be grateful for the caring way Dr. Zimmerman and Natasha helped my Mom see her 17 year old dog slip peacefully away when it was time for her to be released from her suffering. My sister and I had done several weeks of research on all the places in the area. Cost was not a consideration, in this instance, but it's good that the services were the most reasonable of the three "finalist" good places we chose, as that IS a consideration for MANY folks even though they love their pets as much as we love ours. We did a little planning ahead but when my Mom called me and said it was time, I was able to make fast arrangements long-distance and she and her dog, who was in distress, were seen within the hour. (As fast as I could alert the pre-arranged transportation for my elderly Mom.) My sister and I were unable to accompany Mom so feeling that she and her dog would be cared for in the most compassionate way possible was the major consideration. We are happy to say that the arrangements were made expeditiously and everything was taken care of perfectly. Mom has a great loss to deal with but it was the best possible experience under the circumstances. I don't normally give a good review with only one visit to a place but Mom's approaching 90 and won't have another pet. If we were to have a pet, in the Mesa/Apache Junction area, we would certainly be retuning to Dr. Zimmerman's practice.

Have been taking my dog to Caring Critters for about 1 1/2 years. Very happy with the doctor and staff. Dr. Z will sometimes point out an issue, but if it does not need immediate attention, she will tell me so. Of course, I wish the costs were lower, but I have been to vets who charged even more, but gave lousy service. At Caring Critters, I feel as if my dog is in good hands.

I said never during exam did anybody say anything about a fever. Paid for exam, left,never to return.

I could not tell if he had been bitten by something or what was going on. I called at 9AM and was told they were booked but could bring him in at 4 PM. WHAT??? I got home from work and found that my kitten had gotten into a pointsetta plant and puked all over our house. They told us to rush right down and got her in right away and now shes doing 100% better. Now Im bring all my pets to see Dr. Zimmerman!!!!

From out of town, The time had come to say goodbye to my old Jack Rat Buddy. After explaining all the options and making sure I would have no regrets, the Vet was very supportive of my decision. As upsetting as it was to say goodbye I can't imagine anything more they could have done to make it easier. Buddy slipped away eating real bacon and being held. The staff even sent me a condolence card! We just adopted a little sweetie from the shelter and will be bringing her here for all vet services. Amazing staff!
