They took great care of my dog for a very reasonable price!! She needed surgery and I was worried about how much it was going to cost me. The price they quoted me was much lower than I expected and it included all her follow up care for that injury!! I was amazed.

I took our Jack Russell down to check his eye. They removed a growth from it and let me know he had an ulcer. They told me it would be $350 for surgery. I went to pay they tried charging me $500. They...
I took our Jack Russell down to check his eye. They removed a growth from it and let me know he had an ulcer. They told me it would be $350 for surgery. I went to pay they tried charging me $500. They said they did a stain to check ulcer. I said I didn't authorize this. They ended up taking the $150 off after I told the Vet that we had just checked that two days prior. We went in at least 4 other times and they kept checking for ulcer telling us they had to take him in back room. Each visit was $50 and I know they weren't doing the stain because he would've had the yellow stain on eyes. Basically they knew the ulcer was not going away and just kept telling us to come back. I feel they were just trying to see how much money they could get out of us. I ended up going to Eye care for animals and they did a wonderful job.

I've been a customer of VCA for about 18 years.
The staff is great along with doctors.
My feline Patches was having health issues.
I took her in for a exam on May 3 , 2017
The doctor noticed a tumor growing under Patches tounge .
It was medically determined it was time to end Patches pain.
The euthanasia process went well.
The staff were very considerate of my loss.
I chose to have Patches cremated by herself.
I received her ashes back in a couple days.
Ashes were placed in box I selected.
I had previously read about pet cremation and the nite mares people went thru.
VCA treated Patches with respect thru the cremation process.
I highly recommend VCA animal hospital

This place is a joke, they say hospital but they close and don't do overnights. They schedule services, text you conformation and then come up with some extra money ploy at 5;00 night before.( they have done this twice too me) I have spent over $2,000.00 dollars with them, only to be treated like a idiot. My dog was given his rabbies vaccination 3 days before grooming appointment, I have the receipt and tag. but not by them so to keep the appointment they wanted to give him another rabbies vaccination. Of coarse for more money. The back medical staff seems qualified but the office staff must be on commission. Overall it's about money. So if you want big bills, even if it makes your animal sick , so be it, use this office. Sad that I was warned and thought I would give them a chance, bring your Credit Cards because you will need them. The bills add up fast and before you know it. You have been ripped off.

I used VCA Apache Junction Animal Hospital to Ship my dog to Europe, which is quite a process, including multiple visits and time sensitivity. Dr. DeCozio and the whole staff was excellent and handled everything really professionally even though the USDA was quite rude and the pet shipping company we used was lacking in the being educated department. I had full faith that the hospital would get everything done correctly and they did even though it was stressful and difficult. The hospital stayed in contact with me to make sure I knew the details of what was happening and the steps that were being taken.
They are an excellent team and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for great care for their pets!

My dog was not diagnosed properly he was treated with pain medication for a cough. And I was told he had no infection. He died suddenly a couple of days after being on two different needs which made him disoriented and he could no longer hold down food. I had called the office to explain my concern and how he was showing obvious symptoms of these medications not agreeing with him or something else more serious going on. I was told it was normal because the pain medication upsets the stomach and causes disorientation. His symptoms went from having a cough when I brought him in to in two days becoming weak, unable to go outside to potty as well as disorientation and confusion. My dog was healthy and happy and strong until I decided to come to this place for treatment of a cough. He died suddenly less than a week after starting on these meds. He had lost nearly 15 lbs. I would never recommend this place to anyone .

Until yesterday I would've given them a 5 star rating. We put our dogs in their care a few years ago when we needed immediate emergency care for one of our pekingese, they took her in and had her in the operating room within a hour. We really loved the care our pets received and we loved how kind the doctors and staff were to our pets. Yesterday morning when our little Chloe started having seizures and her situation became critical we called them and hoped we would get the same kindness and compassion we had previously received and with them being less then 5 minutes away we could get her there fast. The receptionist told us our vet had a full schedule and they would not be able to see Chloe. She told us we would have to take her to the VCA emergency clinic in downtown Mesa, nearly 20 miles away. I understand that our vet (a half a mile away) is not an emergency clinic, but I don't understand why this receptionist did not speak to the vet and see about taking our dog in, telling us to take our pet almost 20 miles away in rush hour traffic was a potential death sentence. Fortunately we were able to find care for Chloe much closer then their downtown Mesa location and we will now take our business to this new clinic. We have spent thousands on care for our pets with them and would've thought that our loyalty would be returned! It saddens me that when our pet needed care the most, they slammed the door in our face! I'm sure that our veterinarian never even know that we called and that their receptionist treated us this way!

We have been taking our two dogs and cat here for years now. The staff is so friendly and helpful and they always get us into our appts in a timely manner. Recently we had to make the difficult decision to put our 19 year old cat down and they were so compassionate and kind through the process. She went out peacefully and we were comforted knowing the staff seemed to care so much about her. I highly recommend this vet. All the doctors are very kind.

I had written a bad review after a visit with Dr. Picard and only given 1 star. He was very condescending to me, abrupt with my dog, and very quick to suggest unnecessary procedures for a simple wound on my dog's chin.
Upon reading the review, VCA Apache Junction contacted me apologizing, and asked to meet with me and my dog again to understand what happened and have a better visit about the wound on his chin. I saw Dr. Decozio, and she was very kind, and my dog took well to her. I also met with the hospital manager Marci, who also apologized.
After this visit I am comfortable going back to VCA Apache Junction and will ask for Dr. Decozio. I am thankful they contacted me and made things right because this location is so much closer for me.

My dog was not diagnosed properly he was treated with pain medication for a cough. And I was told he had no infection. He died suddenly a couple of days after being on two different needs which made him disoriented and he could no longer hold down food. I had called the office to explain my concern and how he was showing obvious symptoms of these medications not agreeing with him or something else more serious going on. I was told it was normal because the pain medication upsets the stomach and causes disorientation. His symptoms went from having a cough when I brought him in to in two days becoming weak, unable to go outside to potty as well as disorientation and confusion. My dog was healthy and happy and strong until I decided to come to this place for treatment of a cough. He died suddenly less than a week after starting on these meds. He had lost nearly 15 lbs. I would never recommend this place to anyone .

Until yesterday I would've given them a 5 star rating. We put our dogs in their care a few years ago when we needed immediate emergency care for one of our pekingese, they took her in and had her in the operating room within a hour. We really loved the care our pets received and we loved how kind the doctors and staff were to our pets. Yesterday morning when our little Chloe started having seizures and her situation became critical we called them and hoped we would get the same kindness and compassion we had previously received and with them being less then 5 minutes away we could get her there fast. The receptionist told us our vet had a full schedule and they would not be able to see Chloe. She told us we would have to take her to the VCA emergency clinic in downtown Mesa, nearly 20 miles away. I understand that our vet (a half a mile away) is not an emergency clinic, but I don't understand why this receptionist did not speak to the vet and see about taking our dog in, telling us to take our pet almost 20 miles away in rush hour traffic was a potential death sentence. Fortunately we were able to find care for Chloe much closer then their downtown Mesa location and we will now take our business to this new clinic. We have spent thousands on care for our pets with them and would've thought that our loyalty would be returned! It saddens me that when our pet needed care the most, they slammed the door in our face! I'm sure that our veterinarian never even know that we called and that their receptionist treated us this way!

I have been taking my five dogs to Dr. DeCozio for a few years now. All my neighbors also put their trust in VCA and Dr DeCozio. Staff is always efficient and friendly.

I took my puppy in and was placed on a puppy plan and had two more visits and when i called to see when his apoointments would expire thae manager at the office said they had expired due to none payment!! The plan that alf was on had expired and it was now 45.00 a month "bullcrap" they dont stick to there agreements!!!!

We have been taking our two dogs and cat here for years now. The staff is so friendly and helpful and they always get us into our appts in a timely manner. Recently we had to make the difficult decision to put our 19 year old cat down and they were so compassionate and kind through the process. She went out peacefully and we were comforted knowing the staff seemed to care so much about her. I highly recommend this vet. All the doctors are very kind.

I had written a bad review after a visit with Dr. Picard and only given 1 star. He was very condescending to me, abrupt with my dog, and very quick to suggest unnecessary procedures for a simple wound on my dog's chin.
Upon reading the review, VCA Apache Junction contacted me apologizing, and asked to meet with me and my dog again to understand what happened and have a better visit about the wound on his chin. I saw Dr. Decozio, and she was very kind, and my dog took well to her. I also met with the hospital manager Marci, who also apologized.
After this visit I am comfortable going back to VCA Apache Junction and will ask for Dr. Decozio. I am thankful they contacted me and made things right because this location is so much closer for me.
