I love the doctors at this place! I have experienced love and real concern for my babies . They are treated as though they are the doctors own doggies. The staff here is amazing. Very helpful, knowledgeable and nice. Your pets name is written on a white board when you walk into the appointment room which makes you feel like they really have your pets best interest at heart. I've been going here for a few years now and have never had a bad experience! The staff always treats my animals with compassion and skilled hands. We've had 2 pets pass on over the years and always receive the best care from the staff at those emotional times. I brought our cat Bonnie, (she's in indoor/outdoor cat) in today for scratch on her tail that got infected. She also had lots of trouble keeping her tail up. Dr. Medlin and Andie tended to Bonnie's wounds and made sure that she was comfortable. Medlin and Andie worked so well with Bonnie that she didn't need to be sedated when they shaved the area around the scratch. Apparently they have a cat whisperer there! Also the staff is vary friendly and humorous! Which put me at ease since I become an emotional mess when one of babies gets hurt. Read Less

Buddy woke up sick and vomiting on a Sunday. Their office opened early and I rushed over. They were of course full but worked him in. The care he received as quickly as he did was absolutely amazing! They truly care about the pets brought in and do everything they can for them. After a few hours, he came home to us with meds, diet recipes and hydrated. I wish I could give this place no stars at all! This has got to be one of the worst hospitals you could ever take your pet to. With tears still running down my face from having to put my dog Coco down last week because Dr. Evans (who shouldn't be a vet) backed me into a corner, and making me feel like I had no other choice but to euthanize my baby. Dr. Evans was more concerned with the time that they were closing and, leaving, and what I had in my bank account than trying to save my Coco's life. Several times she mentioned to me what time it was, and what time they were closing. At one point I asked her if the emergency that they wanted me to take Coco to took payments her response was "no, and if you don't have the money to take her and, that's not your ultimate goal of being able to take her there than you need to start considering Coco not making it" How can you tell somebody that their pet is not going to make it when you haven't even made the effort to try to save them? Don't get me wrong I understand that my baby was in bad shape when I got her there she couldn't breathe she was suffocating, but the fact that you turned to euthanizing her before even trying to save her is beyond me. The lack of compassion that Dr. Evans showed is such a shame. There is so much more that she said and I tried but at the end of HER day my Coco's fate was sealed at the choice that Dr. Evans made. Now almost a week later all I have left is my baby in a box with her ashes, and no real answers as to why, and how this happened. Now you tell me would that sit right with you? How are you going to euthanize a pet but not know the reason why you're euthanizing them!?! All I know is my baby was suffering with each second that was going by, and Dr. Evans not wanting to do blood work, or x rays, or for that matter anything. So like I said I felt like I had no choice but to put her down so she didn't have to suffer anymore, because it was clear that she wasn't going to get the help that she was in desperate need of. Please I beg of you if you are ever faced with a situation where your pet needs emergency medical care I hope that you can seek alternative places, and if you can't please do not allow Dr. Evans to treat your pet unless you are prepared to lose them. After 12-13 years of Loyal visits to this company and Unfortunately having to spend quite a bit of income there the business philosophy that was shown by the manager ( Heather ) as a Take it or Leave it position was Less than expected after such a long relationship. I can't even put into words how thankful I am for north buckeye animal hospital. We got a puppy that had parvo - contracted prior to him being in our home i can't remember the names of all the techs but every single one of them was fantastic. I called everyday for a week. PK and Camille answered my calls a lot but everyone else was also great. They never sounded annoyed. If they didn't have the answer they would get someone who did and right away! We chose the at home treatment (which saved us a lot in hospitalization) only because dr. Kinser told me I could do it and had Mindy (and another really awesome girl that I can't remember her name! ) show me exactly how to do everything. They were thorough and awesome. I was incredibly nervous through the whole thing but they handled me, my crying baby, and my whining puppy with ease. Incredible humans, all of them. My puppy is happy and healthy now!! Trying to type through tears is hard. Although the staff appears friendly, but the ignorant doctors don't listen when you tell them somethings wrong. My 5 years old chihuahua had respiratory problems, they said it was do to infection from her bad teeth. My baby had 17 extractions, and was on her way to recovery. All through the week, she had shallow breathing, and hard panting, the "doctor" (quote unquote) would ignore me even after I would show him video of her doing this. Well, my baby dies alone while I was out, I came home and tried cpr on my baby's lifeless body, and no luck, now I'm pissed and wouldn't recommend this poor excuse for a veteran to anyone!!!! Took our very sick cat and found this he had a brain tumor that was not fixable. We were a walk in of course but even though they had many appointments in front of us, we would have never known. They gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye, it was our 4 year olds best friend and one of our most loved family members. As always, AMAZING! Freak broken toe on our puppy boxer. They of course got us right in. From the minute we walk in they make sure we're taken care of. The entire staff is completely kind. The place is always immaculate and never smells like they are trying to cover up smells with pine solution. Rooms are very clean. From the staff assisting to the doctors, we had Dr. Hamilton and we lover her, our puppy was in great care. Everything was explained and they gave us different options of treatment plans. One of the WORST veterinary experiences I've ever had!! This place should not claim to be a hospital.. My beautiful g shepherd died 3 hours after I got her home. Monday she threw up and then wouldn't eat. That night she threw up blood. I took her to north buckeye Hosp in the morning. They insisted it was parvo. I explained that she had no diarea and the blood was fresh in the vomit and black in her non-diarhea stool. This made me think she ate something sharp or very toxic. They only were concerned with selling me their parvo package . I agreed to buying the parvo package for home care (lol they will tell u its better to leave dog at Hosp but no one is there from 6pm to 7am.. Not better). I told them I want images if her stomach so I know there isn't anything foreign in it. They said they couldn't xray because she had parvo. I said she doesn't have parvo and anyway what do u do when any dog needs xrays?? any dog can be carrying parvo.. Finally I said " where can I take my dog and money to get images of her stomach"? Then they did xrays only to show the stomach openings were not blocked.. I'm pretty sure it should have been ultra sound to see what is actually in the stomach (perhaps a shard of chicken bone?).. They don't care about pets or ppl.. Only money. My son was killed in may.. The dog was helping me cope .. They didn't even try. She died 3 hours after I left that "hospital".. When I called and told them she died their only concern was to make sure my bank info was right. F U north buckeye.Read Less

Sadly we had to say goodbye to our velvet puppy Paris last night. Showed up unannounced 20 minutes before they closed. The staff was amazing and never made us feel bad for keeping them late. My husband and I are travelers. Our cat needed a special surgery for a continual urinary blockage problem. I located North Buckeye Animal Hospital thru the internet, trusting the great reviews I was reading. (Good, honest reviews are so important!) From the day I spoke with Dr Medlin herself on the phone to set up the appointment, to the very last day of our cat's life, Dr Medlin and her staff were extremely professional and so caring to our dear Linden, and to us. Dr Medlin went way beyond normal measures to try to save his life, unfortunately it was just Linden's time. Veterinary care doesn't get much better than this. Unfortunately I have had the worst treatment ever by North Buckeye Animal hospital, I helped a neighbor with his dog that was shot and brought the dog in so he didnt die and as soon as the owner came in he took over decision making of his pet, but they expect me to pay for it. Sadly Lisa their manager has absolutely no idea what's going on in her business she said I was lying that it's my dog she was not helpful in anyway to resolve this issue. I love this office. They've always been great to our pets. However I am not a fan of Camille. She was very rude today. My husbands phone had died and I couldnt get a hold of him. He had been gone for 45 minutes to pick up our cat (we live not even a full mile away, so a little absurd). I was on the phone with fraud detection services from our bank and needed our card number as well as security code. I had to call the vets office. Apparently Camille decided that I was wasting her time and an annoyance because she stormed up to my husband rolling her eyes and thrust the phone at him and said "Your wife." and stormed away. So sorry that me possibly having my bank account hacked into, possibly having my account frozen, as well as my card terminated is such an inconvenience for you. Saved my dogs life.. Went to the emergency clinic when my dog had a bone stuck in his mouth. They claimed to not see what I saw. Brought him here and they removed it and even had to put him under. That cost LESS than just an emergency exam at a place down the road. Your pet is family here, you are even treated like family.. The doctors at North Buckeye have been great to work with. Their prices have been more than fair. They went well out of their way for my dog that needed a complicated hernia surgery. Everyone from the front desk staff to the assistant to the vet was great to our Mr. Gibbs (guinea pig). He needed his curly toenails clipped and he seemed to have sprained his paw, so we also got a mild pain killer for him. He was up and running in two days.
