And, while Suzy Q has not had the pleasure of making the acquaintance of all staff and Dr. Striyle to date, she knows that we firmly believe that 43rd Animal Hospital has the most compassionate, kind, caring and professional folks who work there. Oh, and did I mention their patience? A more delightful Veterinary experience not to be had, I believe! Of course the building is clean and well laid out, but it's the people who are the heart and soul of any such place, and 43rd Ave Animal Hospital shines here. You and your pet are not just a customer, you are a member of their vet family and they go the extra mile and are very honest with diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Striyle at 43rd animal hospital is so kind and genuine when she takes care of my cat Bella. Bella has had several issues and Dr. Striyle always strives to find solutions that will help my cat live a long and happy life. I will never take my cat to another vet and I trust Dr. Striyle 100%. Great relationship! Excellent care. 43rd took our dog as a new patient and a same day emergency appointment while our vet told us he couldn't see us for 3 days while my dogs eyes were swollen shut from a cat fight. So we started using 43rd for all of our pets. We moved to Goodyear and still drive the 40 minuets to bring our dogs to 43rd animal hospital. I would recommend them. Love the staff and Dr. Striyle. My pups have been long time patients. They are always listen and are willing to help. Were able to help one of my older pups who stopped using her back legs for 3 months due to her arthritis walk again. The best veterinary experience[s] in Arizona [well, at least the greater Phoenix area!.] I and my multiple furry felines have been duly pleased and blessed with the highest of professional skill that Dr. Striyle and her staff bring to each furry being. The level of compassion and the tender, loving care of all the staff at the 43rd Avenue Animal Hospital helps to make each visit less stressful and more special and successful for animal and owner alike. One of the most animal kind and friendly aspects about the hospital is that they have two entries: one for cats, one for dogs. What could be more kind and caring? We found this animal hospital on Google 4 years ago because it was close by our home. We now live in Mesa, 30-40 miles away and will still make the drive to have my three dogs taken care of here. I've NEVER had a bad experience. In fact my 8 month old Rottweiler just got neutered on Friday and they treated him like their baby. I even take my dogs to get all their nails trimmed here every few weeks. The staff here is absolutely by far the best in the valley. I had never gone to a vet that my dogs didn't mind walking in the door. I usually had to drag them in. 43rd Avenue Animal Hospital will treat your pets as their own. Amazing! 3 years ago, a co-worker referred me to 43rd AH and I've trusted them to take care of my babies ever since. I have 2 dogs on the wellness plan and know they receive quality treatment every time. With each visit, EVERY staff member has been professional, compassionate, and more than patient with us!! I am a registered nurse and as such I can say that 43 Avenue Animal Hospital gives Absolutely the best medical care for your furbabies in the Valley. No exceptions. I bring all 3 of my dogs to this facility and Dr. Melinda Strylie and staff are amazing. One of my dogs is a very sick English bulldog whom Dr. Strylie has worked tirelessly to treat. It's currently 8:02 pm and Dr. Strylie just called to check on my sick pup. In a day and age where time is money in healthcare (both human and animal) it's amazing that there are still healthcare providers out there who still go above and beyond to provide exceptional care . I have been a client of 43rd Ave Animal Hospital since 2010. I absolutely love, love, love, Dr. Striyle and her Team. I would highly recommend this facility for anyone in the area. My 2 dogs and 1 cat like going there. The dogs seriously drag me into the place. My cat doesn't like riding in the car, but relaxes once inside the building. They are most accommodating with your work schedule for appointments. And if you can't get the appointment you need they have a drop off service at no extra charge. Our little Maltese had been having a terrible time since her cherry-eye repair surgery at another vet a week prior. The eye was swollen and draining and just looked awful. We brought her back to that vet twice but he just kept blaming the dog: "she must be scratching at it." Even though she had a cone on that prevented that. We brought her to Dr. Striyle at 43rd Ave. Animal Hospital for a second opinion. Dr. Striyle knew just what to do and correctly recognized that it was the bad suture work that was causing irritation to the eye. She was able to remove the sutures without any sedation and less than 24 hours later our little girl's eye looked way better. Thank God for Dr. Striyle.Read Less

Worse experience ever. Every time you call you are placed on hold where you are lucky if they bother to get back to you. The vets do not call you back. Thay disregard your symptom list and their""exam"" consists of looking at your pet from a distance. All they care about is money and could care less about your pet. Put them on medication unnecessarily and just rack up the bill! I was concerned about my dogs labored breathing and seizures caused by the medication given by them and wanted to bring him in under an emergency situation at 700am when they opened. They told me that there was an appt available at 1050 and there would be a wait because they were very busy. I was frantic and crying at which point the secretary stated I guess I could bring him in and put him on oxygen after sstating he might be dead by then. I could go on and on. POOR POOR POOR care. They are a disgrace to the profession. Read Less

I have to write this because of my high regard for this animal hospital and my positive experiences there. I want other animal lovers to benefit from the best treatment and care available for their pet. You'll find the most outstanding staff, professionalism, customer service, cleanliness, etc. In fact, I can't say anything bad about this place. My cat, Simba, has been to see them several times and they have treated both of us like VIP's. I have never been left waiting with my pet and when he has had to stay, I receive calls about his status and the soonest time he will be ready to be picked up. Dr. Striyle has treated Simba most often and her knowledge as a doctor has always been right on target so that the necessary testing and treatment is always to-the-point and reasonable. I have never left feeling like unnecessary testing was done and always feel that I get my money's worth+. Every necessary course of action and every expense is listed with a low end and possible higher end result in minutes. This hospital is run in the most organized, up-to-date fashion so that it seems effortless the way this process from beginning to end is so quick and easy. Dr. Striyle takes the time to make sure that I have understood everything that is happening and Simba's after-care. Her genuine care for animals and kindness is very apparent. I have the highest regard for the nurse, Kelley, that is knowledgeable, kind, and cared for Simba on his last visit as well. She did an excellent job cleaning his teeth (2 decayed teeth removed) and so much more. I was amazed when I learned that she had taken the time to comb out Simba's long, tangly, (even matted in places) fur after the procedure. Not only that, she trimmed his nails and wrapped his bed in a towel. They even cleaned 2 infected facial abcesses. All this extra treatment and care at no expense to me. The visit I had with Dr. Jacoby was exemplary as well. The high level of care has been consistent with every visit. Read Less
