This place only cares about money, your pet's wellbeing is the absolute last priority. You can expect a laundry list of expensive tests your pet doesn't need and a guilt trip if you disagree with them. When calling expect no concern for you or your pet. They'll even suggest you wait days for an appointment with them if they're too busy to see you, instead of suggesting trying another vet with an immediate availability. On my last visit they prescribed an expensive medication then waited until I'd made payment to say it might not be necessary. This medication gave my dog extreme dry mouth and diarrhea. I called the next day and they made excuses about how what they prescribed doesn't have those side effects, although 1800PETMEDS lists them as possible side effects. Their suggestion was to stop use and throw them away. Then they told me he would be fine and probably didn't need them anyway. Every experience with these people gets worse and worse. Read Less

They got my cat in immediately but didn't give him proper treatment. When I called the very next day trying to get him in they couldn't because they were "booked" even tho they knew I was in there earlier and that they didnt help my cat at all. I ended up having to take him to an emergency vet which cost me $400. My cat had a blockage and would have died because they didn't treat him properly. NEVER USE THIS PLACE. Read Less

I am giving Beardsley 2 stars as the staff and staff were very kind and knowledgeable however the prices are TERRIBLE! I was given a quote for one tooth extraction for my 10 year old cat of between $1100 - 1800! I called a different place the next day and they got him in the next day for an extraction, that turned out to be 9 extractions and even with medication to take home cost $350! How can they even justify the quote they gave me! Taking advantage of hard working people because they know how much we love our pets! Shame on them! Read Less

Best vet office ever! Helped us every step of the way with getting our cat ready to immigrate to New Zealand. Not just with the vet visits, but being in contact with the company handling our immigration. This includes emailing paperwork and taking phone calls from this company. Always treated my husband, Willow (our cat), and I with the utmost care and respect! Not a single complaint. Wonderful office and staff from the front desk, to the vet techs, to the veterinarians. Absolutely the best! After a recent experience I wanted to add to my recent review above. I still believe they are the best but something needs to change. After four days trying to catch my cat I rushed her in at 7:30 AM one morning last week. After running up a bill of $700+ the conclusion was that she was in kidney failure and the best thing was euthanasia. She was my calming influence and it broke my heart. I just wanted to go home so I could fall apart in private. I already had a payment plan in place from procedures on my two dogs and I asked that they put the charges on my bill and let me know what the payments would be. That was too easy I guess because they needed to add the $133 for euthanasia (what?!) and work out the additional payments while I was still there. I was crying by this point and just wanted to escape. But no, I had to sign the contract, once it was printed. Several times I asked if we could take care of this part later. I was begging to go home but I was told that if I left they wouldn't do anything else for my cat. In other words, if I didn't follow their procedure they would allow her to continue suffering. Of course I had to comply. This strong-arm tactic left me feeling ten times worse than I would have just over the loss of my pet. I have always paid my bills and referred anyone who would listen to this hospital believing them to be caring, compassionate and generous in offering payment plans to those of us who have limited incomes. I guess I'm disappointed but still believe them to be all of those things. Sadly, their compassion ends when it comes to people. Although the staff member who was coping with me remained calm and sympathetic and a very soft strong-arm, I was in no condition to accept her repeated attempts to calm me. I do not envy her job and told her that. Something about their policy needs to change. Maybe a little trust in an established customer? I believe in paying for services rendered and I know that tests cost money even when the result is less than desirable. I have a diabetic and blind West Highland White Terrier named Apollo who has had a lot of health issues in his life. This is especially true when it comes to allergies, as it has been difficult to find anything that works for him. Due to that, I have had to make a LOT of vet visits, and when I moved to AZ I bounced from vet to vet until I found Beardsley Animal Hospital. All the staff has been wonderful, they all know Apollo and I by name at this point, and always take great care of Apollo when he has health problems. In addition to great care in general, they will also go over all your options with you to come up with a treatment plan that fits both the symptoms AND your budget. I would highly recommend them, both for their hospitality (extremely polite, you can tell they really care for your animals), as well as the care. Read Less

I had to put my beloved 10 year old rabbit down yesterday, and of all the places in the area, they were the only ones that were accommodating to my desire to want to be with him on his last day. They gave me as much time as I needed, allowed me to be present, and were so comforting and professional throughout it. It was clear he felt no pain throughout it all and I was so thankful I had found a place that would put him comfortably to rest. I took my two cats here and the doctors and staff are great!! I got one on a KD diet that is working for her right now. The other cat had two teeth extracted and he bounced back much better than he did when this was done in the past at another vet's office. I would recommend Beardsley in a heart beat! Read Less

I take all of my babies here. After making the decision of putting one of our dogs down, they were very companionate, made us paw print molds, and even gave us an extra one for my niece. They let us sit in the room with her until it was done, and cried with us. They sent us a card, and even called to see how our family was holding up afterwards. The staff and vets are amazing! The hours are also convenient. They make sure to get my boys in promptly when we need them. I do not agree that they overcharge, in fact they go over in depth the cost prior to any treatment, and avoid costs if possible. They even call to follow up the next day!!! I was hesitant to go because of the other reviews I saw here about overcharging but its Sunday and they were the only place open so I gave it a go. I'm very happy I did. I got in right away, they answered all of my questions and treated my dog well. The vet was very nice, personable, and talked to me like another adult, not a lesser person like some doctors/vets have in the past. And even $120 later, I don't think it was a bad price for what I was paying for. My dog has a primary vet but I'm thinking about switching over. Thanks guys.Read Less
