I have been taking my dogs to Glenn Animal Care Hospital for almost 25 years. Dr. Umstead and her staff are very knowledgable. We are seen in a timely manner and my pets are treated very kindly. I can always get in the same day. Last summer while I was out of the country, my dog got sick. Dr. Umstead diagnosed and treated her. We had to change her diet and she has been fine since. Really like their clinic days to get shots for my schnauzer. The last time I was there they did the paperwork on the wrong dog. I got to the car and saw they processed the shots and everything under my mom's dog...I went back in and they fixed it. I still will go there for the clinic shots. No office fees for clinic days. The first time I came to this place the staff were very lovely and kind with my sister and I ,and also with my dog, Roxy. However I recently came back for a second visit for my dog Gorgeous because she was not feeling good and my first choice was them because of their great service before but this time they were very impatient , rude, disrespectful and a lack of empathy that I received from them. The doctor told me that my dog will die but the way she said it was very cruel and loud. And also my sister was trying to share her knowledge of what she thought was going wrong to my dog and the doctor seemed impatient and would interrupt my sister which was very unnecessary. We were just concerned. And they gave us an appointment for the next day so my dog can be checked whether she had pyometra (a uterine infection) so we took the appointment and the next day when we didn't show up , they called us and were mad at us for not attending , for wasting their time, etc. With that disrespect, of course we didn't show up. We found somebody else that took interest in us and my dog with the care and respect that one should receive. So whoever comes upon this place please don't go there. Staff are nice and knowledgeable, but if you are in need of spaying/neutering I would go elsewhere. Took my cat here to be spayed and weeks later she was still showing signs of being in heat(Most likely due to Ovarian Remnant Syndrome). Brought this up to the doctor that performed the surgery (Dr. Umstead) and she refused to believe me. Did not feel comfortable taking my cat here for a second surgery. Read Less

Everyone was very knowledgeable and friendly. Took in my friends pitbull for vaccines and nail trim.  They did not even worry about the fact she was a pit. Many other places have turned us down due to the breed. Highly recommend taking any pet here. Read Less

The veterinarian was completely disregarding the answers to my questions, was incredibly rude, disrespectful, not good at all with my dog, and called me a liar. Will not ever take my dog back here nor either of my other two dogs. Do NOT recommend.Read Less

My beautiful girlfriend rman Sheppard was saved from parvo a few years back by this facility ,when I had twk n him in to get utilized because he was just suffering and the vet advised a shot and that saved my dog .I'm grateful god bless you all Read Less

I recently  became a dog owner and am so in love with  glenn animal care. All 3 dogs I bought off craigs list came sick and they made them healthy for me. I also get my grooming  done by Lois who keeps my dogs looking hot and handsome. She is the best groomer ever. All the doctor's are great. Jennifer the tech is very caring. Had a sick pup, gave them a call and they were able to get me in the same evening, not only past when most vets closed but past their last scheduled appointment. The staff was excellent, very nice and didn't have to spend 3hrs on paperwork one we got in to see the Dr he ran a test and determined my pup had parvo. They administered some fluids gave an antibiotic shot as well as some to take home. By the next morning she was up and had her appetite back. I was also advised that twice a week they do shot clinics which are very reasonable and that they do free spay/neuter with a voucher from the county. We want the very best for our kids and this includes our furry child also. Eli is the best dog any family could own. When we adopted him at 6 months old he had been originally taken here by his previous owner so we decided to follow up with this office. SO GLAD WE DID! The prices are very competitive and the staff really care for your animals. I trusted them so much they were the ones to neuter him. Now that takes trust. When I first got my dog Kogi (My many default pics btw =D) I wasn't sure where to take him since he was my first puppy. So I did a google search and Glenn animal care was very close to me and Petsmart banfields hospital was some ridiculous prices.Not saying I want to cheap out on health cuz I would go for the ends of the world for Kogi, but at the same time I rather go to a private practice that makes you feel more at home. Dr. Umstead is very nice and its professional there, been going for 3 years now for both of my pups. They do cheap vaccine days too for the people on the budget twice a month. Read Less

I have been doctoring my cat there for the past two weeks. After almost $400 later, the cat is still having urinary problems. Dr. Umstead told me have a $300 ultrasound and if its stones she will operate the next day with a quote from $1100. to nearly $1500. There is no sympathy from her if you cant afford it and no other options besides PAY IN FULL! After calling around and doing some investigating I have found a veterinarian that has a far better bedside manner, has options for us to work with regarding the cats condition, as well as options for paying for the operation. This dr. will charge me less than half the price that was quoted to me by Glenn! This facility is also very updated and offers most services on premises. Glenn needs MAJOR updating.
