I am heartbroken to share my recent experience with Stetson Hills Animal Hospital, which was profoundly disappointing during one of the most difficult times for my family and our beloved dog. When we noticed our dog was severely ill, we turned to Stetson Hills for help, hoping to understand her condition and help her. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of our expectations.
The consultation was brief, lasting only about 5 minutes, during which the veterinarian examined our dog but offered no diagnosis or explanation for her condition. More distressingly, there was no communication about the seriousness of her state or the fact that she was nearing the end of her life. There was also no discussion about possible end-of-life care options, which might have spared her and our family a lot of suffering.
Our dog sadly passed away, leaving us not only grieving but also questioning whether a different veterinary clinic might have offered the diagnosis, care, or support we desperately needed. This experience has led me to believe that the clinic did not demonstrate the level of care, empathy, or effort that pets and their families deserve in such critical times.
To those looking for veterinary care, I urge you to consider other options where you might find a more engaged and compassionate way to pet healthcare. No one should have to go through the pain of watching their pet suffer without support or guidance from their veterinary care provider.

Incredibly compassionate service! Dr. Dawson and staff demonstrated such tenderness and care with our family dog through many many visits. As we said goodbye to him today, she also took extra time and care to help our whole family with 4 young children, cope with, understand, and say goodbye to a dear family friend. They additionally took time to make an impression of his paw to help remember him. Every visit in our experience has been met with extreme professional care and customer service. I recently took my dog to the Stetson Hills Animal Hospital. My dog had a urinary tract infection and a problem with her ears (she was always scratching and flapping). The staff was friendly and didn't make me feel like I had done anything negligent. They were genuinely interested in helping my dog to feel better. The doctor was thorough. He suggested a variety of options for treatment. Bottom line: my dog is better now, and my experience with this animal hospital was affordable and effective. While I hope I do not need to use their services in the future, I will definitely do so when needed.

We have been thinking about finding a new vet for our dog and we now have! The vet we have been going to couldn’t get us in same day, understandable, however with a possible ear infection we needed our dog to be seen. I called this vet... 70 reviews and only 2 are negative; you can’t please everyone! When I called I was greeted with a friendly voice who was able to squeeze us in within a few hours. The nurse, Dawnell, and Dr. Cone were great in explaining the diagnosis, options and (very important) the coast... also with options to help with coat. Everyone was so kind, knowledgeable and accommodating.

We have a 14 yr. old male tabby, that is not eating and rapidly losing weight. Dr. Dawson was exceptional in our experience with the first exam. She was honest, candid, and didn't sugar coat any prognosis. We're starting a trial regimen of steroids and pain meds to help get some weight back on our boy. Once stable we can more safely move on to addressing root causes.
We came to Stetson Hills because of our memorable experiences with Dr. Cohen some 20 years ago when he worked in Moon Valley. He treated other cats of ours. He too was very caring and not so "clinical" as some Doctors and Vets can be. I can see why Dr. Dawson is a good fit here. The office is a bit of a drive for us from Scottsdale, but the service is great. Thank You

Dr. Cohen has always taken great care of our dog. Most recently he cared for her when she was finally found after missing for over month in southwest Phoenix (long story). He listens to clients questions and concerns, is very knowledgeable about available tests and procedures and takes the time to carefully explain the benefits and limitations of concern for any course of treatment. We happened upon this clinic through a Google search as we were new to the area and it was close by. I consider that nothing less than divine appointment. Speaking of, Stetson Hills has always been willing to work with us for appointment times and the rest of the staff is also very knowledgeable, courteous and caring. You won't go wrong bringing your dog here!

So thankful I found this amazing animal hospital. I have been a few times now and been so impressed with everything, especially the staff and how they treat my animals. My dog just got neutered there and I really felt comfortable leaving him in their care. They did a phenomenal job of taking care of him and keeping me completely informed at all times. They made sure I knew how much I would be paying beforehand and gave me a thorough breakdown of everything that would be done. They called me immediately after to let me know how he was doing and they gave me really detailed instructions on how to care for him afterwards when I came to pick him up. I hope I don't have to come back and see them too often but I am so glad to know that if I do, my animals will be very well taken care of. :) love this place!!!!

After recently relocating to a different part of the valley we needed to find a veterinarian who was closer to our new home. After reading so many positive reviews I decided to give Stetson Hills Animal Hospital a try. Best. Decison. Ever. Dr. Cohen and his staff are awesome. It was probably the best vet experience I have had. Easy appointment scheduling, fantastic and friendly staff, knowledgeable and caring doctor. I have found my new vet for my fur baby.

It's hard when you move and have to find a new Dr. for your fur babies. We were with our vet in Washington for over 20 years. Moving to Arizona it took awhile to find a doctor we trusted. Dr Cohen and his team (especially Jada) are wonderful. We could take our kids to a vet closer to where we live, but it is worth the 40 minute drive to get the treatment and caring we do with this team.

I have been a client of Dr. Cohen literally since I was born. He has cared for all of mine and my extended families babies throughout the years. We followed him from Moon Valley, to Anthem and now to Stetson Hills. He and his staff have been nothing but friendly, professional, patient and understanding throughout the approximately 20 years. Dr. Cohen is always up to date on the latest developments in veterinary medicine, which has resulted in extended several of my animals lives, while still maintaining a good quality of life. I trust them wholeheartedly with my kids and can't convey how much I appreciate all of them, their handwork, and help throughout the years!

What an amazing place!!! I have been taking my dog to this office for probably 7 years or so and my dog was recently really sick. Dr. Cohen is a special Dr. He is very kind, genuine and patient. It is obvious he really cares about the animal and making sure he takes the time to explain in detail anything that needs to be understood. I have never once felt like he tried to oversell me on something. I often don't trust what Vets say from other offices. This was never a concern with Dr. Cohen. KUDOS to this office and thanks, Dr Cohen! We appreciate your help so much! Our dog thanks you, too!!!

He suggested a variety of options for treatment. Bottom line: my dog is better now, and my experience with this animal hospital was affordable and effective. While I hope I do not need to use their services in the future, I will definitely do so when needed.

We have been thinking about finding a new vet for our dog and we now have! The vet we have been going to couldn’t get us in same day, understandable, however with a possible ear infection we needed our dog to be seen. I called this vet... 70 reviews and only 2 are negative; you can’t please everyone! When I called I was greeted with a friendly voice who was able to squeeze us in within a few hours. The nurse, Dawnell, and Dr. Cone were great in explaining the diagnosis, options and (very important) the coast... also with options to help with coat. Everyone was so kind, knowledgeable and accommodating.

We have a 14 yr. old male tabby, that is not eating and rapidly losing weight. Dr. Dawson was exceptional in our experience with the first exam. She was honest, candid, and didn't sugar coat any prognosis. We're starting a trial regimen of steroids and pain meds to help get some weight back on our boy. Once stable we can more safely move on to addressing root causes.
We came to Stetson Hills because of our memorable experiences with Dr. Cohen some 20 years ago when he worked in Moon Valley. He treated other cats of ours. He too was very caring and not so "clinical" as some Doctors and Vets can be. I can see why Dr. Dawson is a good fit here. The office is a bit of a drive for us from Scottsdale, but the service is great. Thank You

Dr. Cohen has always taken great care of our dog. Most recently he cared for her when she was finally found after missing for over month in southwest Phoenix (long story). He listens to clients questions and concerns, is very knowledgeable about available tests and procedures and takes the time to carefully explain the benefits and limitations of concern for any course of treatment. We happened upon this clinic through a Google search as we were new to the area and it was close by. I consider that nothing less than divine appointment. Speaking of, Stetson Hills has always been willing to work with us for appointment times and the rest of the staff is also very knowledgeable, courteous and caring. You won't go wrong bringing your dog here!

So thankful I found this amazing animal hospital. I have been a few times now and been so impressed with everything, especially the staff and how they treat my animals. My dog just got neutered there and I really felt comfortable leaving him in their care. They did a phenomenal job of taking care of him and keeping me completely informed at all times. They made sure I knew how much I would be paying beforehand and gave me a thorough breakdown of everything that would be done. They called me immediately after to let me know how he was doing and they gave me really detailed instructions on how to care for him afterwards when I came to pick him up. I hope I don't have to come back and see them too often but I am so glad to know that if I do, my animals will be very well taken care of. :) love this place!!!!

After recently relocating to a different part of the valley we needed to find a veterinarian who was closer to our new home. After reading so many positive reviews I decided to give Stetson Hills Animal Hospital a try. Best. Decison. Ever. Dr. Cohen and his staff are awesome. It was probably the best vet experience I have had. Easy appointment scheduling, fantastic and friendly staff, knowledgeable and caring doctor. I have found my new vet for my fur baby.

It's hard when you move and have to find a new Dr. for your fur babies. We were with our vet in Washington for over 20 years. Moving to Arizona it took awhile to find a doctor we trusted. Dr Cohen and his team (especially Jada) are wonderful. We could take our kids to a vet closer to where we live, but it is worth the 40 minute drive to get the treatment and caring we do with this team.

My 2 dogs needed updates bordatella vaccines. We recently moved to the area and found this was the closest spot to us and I'm happy we did! The doctor and staff were very friendly and didn't make you feel like they were trying to upsell you on anything you didn't need, like some other places I've been to. It was also very clean and well taken care of. We will definitely be back again!

I have been a client of Dr. Cohen literally since I was born. He has cared for all of mine and my extended families babies throughout the years. We followed him from Moon Valley, to Anthem and now to Stetson Hills. He and his staff have been nothing but friendly, professional, patient and understanding throughout the approximately 20 years. Dr. Cohen is always up to date on the latest developments in veterinary medicine, which has resulted in extended several of my animals lives, while still maintaining a good quality of life. I trust them wholeheartedly with my kids and can't convey how much I appreciate all of them, their handwork, and help throughout the years!

Dr. Cohen and his entire staff are the VERY BEST. They gave our wonderful Scottie, Kyla, the best treatment for many years and saved her life three times. Too bad he is not a miracle worker and can not beat cancer in dogs. He and Jennifer were so kind in the last few minutes of our dog's life. We will be forever grateful and are so happy our other two rescues are in his care.

We went to Stetson hills animal hospital today for a second opinion for our golden retriever... we were hoping for the holistic services (which is awesome that he provides that AND regular vet services) to help her. he was kind but to the point (we had to put our beloved golden retriever down). He was wonderful in such a crappy situation we will for sure bring our other 4 dogs in.

What an amazing place!!! I have been taking my dog to this office for probably 7 years or so and my dog was recently really sick. Dr. Cohen is a special Dr. He is very kind, genuine and patient. It is obvious he really cares about the animal and making sure he takes the time to explain in detail anything that needs to be understood. I have never once felt like he tried to oversell me on something. I often don't trust what Vets say from other offices. This was never a concern with Dr. Cohen. KUDOS to this office and thanks, Dr Cohen! We appreciate your help so much! Our dog thanks you, too!!!
