IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET, STOP SCROLLING AND READ THIS!!! PLEASE. My husband and I had been bringing our dogs to Palm Valley Animal Clinic for a few years since moving from NY. They would go in for check ups, vaccines, and the occasional allergy shot. They started our dog on a new allergy medication that required blood work every month as it has the potential to cause serious side effects. Initially, our dog was great, but after about two weeks she appeared as though she was, in fact, having possible side effects from this medication. We stopped giving it to her and called the vet hoping she could be quickly evaluated. The soonest we could be seen was about two weeks out—so we made that appointment. Her symptoms worsened and we called to see if she could come in any sooner. They said no and instructed us to go to the nearest pet ER—so we did, immediately. The ER said her symptoms may or may not be related to the new medication, but sent us home with pain meds and instructions to follow up with our vet within the week. We called every. single. day. to ask Palm Valley if they could get us in for an earlier visit. The answer was always “no”. When we started asking real questions, they became uncomfortable and said there was nothing they could do over the phone. We were advised to keep our original appointment because they couldn’t squeeze her in any sooner. The office manager, Barb, called us the day before our scheduled visit and CANCELED IT. She said we were “threatening” over the phone, which couldn’t be farther from the truth. When it was made clear that we hadn’t made any threats, she changed the story and claimed we couldn’t come in because we had “refused further testing” at the ER. When we told her we hadn’t refused anything and simply wanted to be seen by a vet that we thought we could trust, she told us that Dr. Hatch would not see us and she’d be happy to send our records elsewhere. We pleaded with this vet EVERY DAY to be seen earlier to evaluate our dog for a potential life-threatening side effect of a medication that THEY prescribed. This is not only negligence, it’s a complete lack of empathy or concern for their patients. If your pet needs a vaccine, who cares who gives it. If they’re young and healthy, sure, why not go here for a check up. But if you love your dog like we do and plan to see your vet for years, I’d be VERY wary. There’s a very good chance they will show your pet the same courtesy as they did ours, and leave them out in the rain on their death bed. If this was your family member, which if you’re this far into the review it very well could be, would YOU want to be put in this situation? I don’t think so, which is why I URGE you to find a different facility.
To Dr. Hatch, office manager Barb, and the vet tech that clearly had a problem with us asking simple yet educated questions…shame on you. We hope you feel even just an ounce of the pain and torment you’ve put our family through.

I Love Palm Valley Animal Clinic!~ I've gone there for years. They've helped me with pets at the end of their life. Dr. Lipovitch is very compationate. Very patient with me no matter how many times I've called worried about my pet. His office is very affordable. The office personnel is the same way, very pleasant, patient & helpful. Thank you all for everything you've done for me & my pets. ❤

This place wouldn't even be my last option. We took our dog there we noticed he was bleeding. He was diagnosed with a tumor and given meds. We have it a few days but he didn't seem to feeling better. ...
This place wouldn't even be my last option. We took our dog there we noticed he was bleeding. He was diagnosed with a tumor and given meds. We have it a few days but he didn't seem to feeling better. We called and left a message, and no one called back. I had to keep calling and was told they couldn't make time to see him. At this point our poor sick dog was beyond help. I had to call yet again to ask about putting him asleep and they said the following day they could do it. Our dog was suffering, and they could not even give him the time of day. We found another Vet who went out of their way to make sure he was taken care of. Out beloved family dog succumbed to his illness and passed. While the outcome might have been the same, the lack of follow through from their office, and them not even calling to see how the treatment was going...is beyond bad service. Thanks for calling after our dog passed...

I don't know who these people are who are leaving bad reviews, but this clinic is one of the best I've ever taken my pets to! They are informed and caring. We recently had to put down our beloved cat due to cancer. Both Dr. Lipovitch (our main dr.) and Dr. Hatch (who we had only just met on the day we lost our girl) were so caring. Taking time with their patients, and the patient's parents. I never feel rushed and they always patiently answer all of my (sometimes stupid) questions. I couldn't ask for better care for my pets, and for me. So, if you're looking for knowledgeable, honest and caring veterinary care, look no further! I will be taking my pets here for as long as we line in AZ. Thank you so much for caring about my girls as much as I do!

I have taken my animals there for 18 years and have referred several people there. I have a beagle that has seizures and has taken medication, the last medication Dr gave her didn't need blood work, per the Dr and yet the office help won't let me set an appointment unless I commit to blood work. I told them that the Dr said she doesn't need blood work and the office help said with out blood work she can't get her medication. The beagle is 12 years old and I don't have the $300.00 required to get her refill so I will have to take her off her meds. They called the RX place and denied her refill. Is this where you want to take your pet. The Dr says yearly exam and the front office says exam and blood test. Who is running the place? $$$$$$$ They used to be good vets. Linda Brewer

I love the docs there. Dr Lipovitch is great. But their prices are a little up there. Spay and neuter prices are crazy high as well as euthanasia and processing of deceased animals. Can't use them...
I love the docs there. Dr Lipovitch is great. But their prices are a little up there. Spay and neuter prices are crazy high as well as euthanasia and processing of deceased animals. Can't use them for things like that anymore, but for the quality of care for more affordable services, hands down very happy with them.

My boys and I went to visit friends and on the way home we decided to stop at the new Hobby Lobby to look for a remote-controlled boat. The store is in a big strip mall with lots of parking spaces. As we were walking into the store, we saw this tiny kitten in the parking lot. It looked like it had been run over and was not moving, and we assumed it must be dead. I told my boys that we would go into the store and look to see if it was still there when we came out. When we came out of the store the kitten was not where it had been. We were back in the car ready to leave when my middle son spotted it on a parking berm. Someone had apparently moved it. My son got out of the car to take a closer look, and he screamed, ""I see the kitten moving!"" My boys wanted to know what we could do to help it. I told them to pick it up and I would call my friend Dr. Robert Hatch, the local vet, to see what we should do. Dr. Hatch explained how to bottle-feed the kitten and nurse it back to health. The first few days he just slept and ate. He could not walk or stand up and we thought that he might have some injuries. But Dr. Hatch came by to check on him and said that all was fine. The kitten quickly became a very aggressive eater, chewing through several bottle nipples. He must have developed these eating habits during his days on the streets. We named him Puff after the character in the children's pre-primers featuring Sally, Dick, and Jane because he looked just the kitten from the stories. Puff is now a happy member of our household and gets to see Dr. Hatch on a regular basis.

Run as fast as you can away from this clinic if you love your pets! Hatch Jr. missed Valley Fever in my dog and two years later had to amputate his toe. He also had skin ulcerations thur out the years...

He also had skin ulcerations thur out the years and he said oh its probably just a allergic reaction. Really is that why you treated him with Antibotics? This guy is a joke! Shame on me for sticking around three years to late! Also had a neighbor that moved here from Chicaco and he missed diagnosed Cancer in their dog. Horriable place, I found two country Vets that work on all types of animals. Unbelievable change in my dog! He runs & walks fast again has not done this in 3 years. No Joke. I live in Palm Valley and I beg everyone of you run to someone else before he kills your pet or drugs them up so much they don't have a good life! I spent so much money that I should own stock in that place!

I am a Palm Valley resident and a huge animal lover. With the Palm Valley Animal Clinic being so close by we thought it would be a good place for our new Vet. I took my 6 year old beagle in because I had reason to believe that he had a thyroid problem. He had many symptoms which led me to believe it might be the case. I pointed out to the doctor the enormous amount of hair loss on his tail, told him about his loss in appetite, and his recent weight gain. The doctor went on to say it is most likely from him wagging his tail and hitting things with it. He told us everything looks good and off we went. Needless to say we believed him (big mistake) and recently the symptoms have been getting worse. He is now pretty much bald on his tail, his skin is severely flaking, has an increased temper, and still has no appetite but still many extra pounds. So now, doctor, tell me that this is not a thyroid problem. To my understanding if you catch the symptoms early your dog can go on and lead a long happy life. I took my dog to Palm Valley Animal Clinic about a year ago when we first started noticing the symptoms. Now, a year later, everything has gotten worse and my dogs health is in danger. I advise anyone who loves and cares for their pet to not bring them to Palm Valley Animal Clinic.

Given the rave reviews here I would have to say that ""Younggirl25"" motives are suspicious at best. I am a long time client and while I have found the front desk to be busy, they have always been professional. I have seen emergencies and euthanasia appointments be dealt with immediately which is more than I can say for other places that I have been. I have found all ""3"" doctors to be professional and caring. Thank you Younggirl25 for leaving an appointment available for me as they can be scarce because they are so busy !

Just wanted to say the dr. is gross and seem to be more interested in my boobs then my dog. However the tech (Michelle) was very nice and seem to care about my dog. Plus the receptionist over the phone and when I was there were rude. I will never go back there again with any of my pets.

We've seen Dr. Lipovitch several times for routine visits for our dogs. We've always liked him, but in the past week we had to make the decision about how to handle one of our elderly dog's end of life. I don't know if I would feel as good about our decision if it hadn't been for Dr. Lipovitch. He carefully outlined all of our options, and he was always very objective. He never inserted his own opinion into the discussion, but he put all of the possible decisions in context. He gave us all the time we needed and never rushed us, even though we took a long time, and they might have needed the room. When we finally made our decision to euthanize our Xena, he supported us and made the experience as peaceful and special as he could. This man obviously has a way with both people and animals, and if you have a chance to take your animals to him, don't miss the opportunity.

I would absolutely recommend this animal clinic to anyone who loves their pets. We have taken all 3 of our cats and now are taking our new puppy. Every time we go we are welcomed by the extremely friendly staff and they take great care with every single animal that walks in the door. You can tell immediately that everyone there enjoys their job and the animals they care for. We love all the staff and are very pleased and thankful to have found them 3 years ago when we moved to AZ. Thank you Palm Valley for loving our pets as much as we do!!

I had my dog put down today and every person in that office showed that they cared for me and my dog. They handled both of us with care and consideration. I had never been to this Animal Clinic before, but they treated me and my dog like they had known us forever. I would recommend this Animial Clinic to anyone.

I have a beagle that has seizures and has taken medication, the last medication Dr gave her didn't need blood work, per the Dr and yet the office help won't let me set an appointment unless I commit to blood work. I told them that the Dr said she doesn't need blood work and the office help said with out blood work she can't get her medication. The beagle is 12 years old and I don't have the $300.00 required to get her refill so I will have to take her off her meds. They called the RX place and denied her refill. Is this where you want to take your pet. The Dr says yearly exam and the front office says exam and blood test. Who is running the place? $$$$$$$ They used to be good vets. Linda Brewer

No one even smiled. Felt like a morgue, no freindly welcome, nothing. Not a good fit for me and my girl. Won't go back there.

I love the docs there. Dr Lipovitch is great. But their prices are a little up there. Spay and neuter prices are crazy high as well as euthanasia and processing of deceased animals. Can't use them...
I love the docs there. Dr Lipovitch is great. But their prices are a little up there. Spay and neuter prices are crazy high as well as euthanasia and processing of deceased animals. Can't use them for things like that anymore, but for the quality of care for more affordable services, hands down very happy with them.

My boys and I went to visit friends and on the way home we decided to stop at the new Hobby Lobby to look for a remote-controlled boat. The store is in a big strip mall with lots of parking spaces. As we were walking into the store, we saw this tiny kitten in the parking lot. It looked like it had been run over and was not moving, and we assumed it must be dead. I told my boys that we would go into the store and look to see if it was still there when we came out. When we came out of the store the kitten was not where it had been. We were back in the car ready to leave when my middle son spotted it on a parking berm. Someone had apparently moved it. My son got out of the car to take a closer look, and he screamed, ""I see the kitten moving!"" My boys wanted to know what we could do to help it. I told them to pick it up and I would call my friend Dr. Robert Hatch, the local vet, to see what we should do. Dr. Hatch explained how to bottle-feed the kitten and nurse it back to health. The first few days he just slept and ate. He could not walk or stand up and we thought that he might have some injuries. But Dr. Hatch came by to check on him and said that all was fine. The kitten quickly became a very aggressive eater, chewing through several bottle nipples. He must have developed these eating habits during his days on the streets. We named him Puff after the character in the children's pre-primers featuring Sally, Dick, and Jane because he looked just the kitten from the stories. Puff is now a happy member of our household and gets to see Dr. Hatch on a regular basis.

Hatch, DVM missed valley fever in my dog as well. Does anybody have any recommendations for a good vet for the west side of the Valley? I live in Goodyear.

Run as fast as you can away from this clinic if you love your pets! Hatch Jr. missed Valley Fever in my dog and two years later had to amputate his toe. He also had skin ulcerations thur out the years...

He also had skin ulcerations thur out the years and he said oh its probably just a allergic reaction. Really is that why you treated him with Antibotics? This guy is a joke! Shame on me for sticking around three years to late! Also had a neighbor that moved here from Chicaco and he missed diagnosed Cancer in their dog. Horriable place, I found two country Vets that work on all types of animals. Unbelievable change in my dog! He runs & walks fast again has not done this in 3 years. No Joke. I live in Palm Valley and I beg everyone of you run to someone else before he kills your pet or drugs them up so much they don't have a good life! I spent so much money that I should own stock in that place!

I am a Palm Valley resident and a huge animal lover. With the Palm Valley Animal Clinic being so close by we thought it would be a good place for our new Vet. I took my 6 year old beagle in because I had reason to believe that he had a thyroid problem. He had many symptoms which led me to believe it might be the case. I pointed out to the doctor the enormous amount of hair loss on his tail, told him about his loss in appetite, and his recent weight gain. The doctor went on to say it is most likely from him wagging his tail and hitting things with it. He told us everything looks good and off we went. Needless to say we believed him (big mistake) and recently the symptoms have been getting worse. He is now pretty much bald on his tail, his skin is severely flaking, has an increased temper, and still has no appetite but still many extra pounds. So now, doctor, tell me that this is not a thyroid problem. To my understanding if you catch the symptoms early your dog can go on and lead a long happy life. I took my dog to Palm Valley Animal Clinic about a year ago when we first started noticing the symptoms. Now, a year later, everything has gotten worse and my dogs health is in danger. I advise anyone who loves and cares for their pet to not bring them to Palm Valley Animal Clinic.

Given the rave reviews here I would have to say that ""Younggirl25"" motives are suspicious at best. I am a long time client and while I have found the front desk to be busy, they have always been professional. I have seen emergencies and euthanasia appointments be dealt with immediately which is more than I can say for other places that I have been. I have found all ""3"" doctors to be professional and caring. Thank you Younggirl25 for leaving an appointment available for me as they can be scarce because they are so busy !

Just wanted to say the dr. is gross and seem to be more interested in my boobs then my dog. However the tech (Michelle) was very nice and seem to care about my dog. Plus the receptionist over the phone and when I was there were rude. I will never go back there again with any of my pets.

We've seen Dr. Lipovitch several times for routine visits for our dogs. We've always liked him, but in the past week we had to make the decision about how to handle one of our elderly dog's end of life. I don't know if I would feel as good about our decision if it hadn't been for Dr. Lipovitch. He carefully outlined all of our options, and he was always very objective. He never inserted his own opinion into the discussion, but he put all of the possible decisions in context. He gave us all the time we needed and never rushed us, even though we took a long time, and they might have needed the room. When we finally made our decision to euthanize our Xena, he supported us and made the experience as peaceful and special as he could. This man obviously has a way with both people and animals, and if you have a chance to take your animals to him, don't miss the opportunity.

I would absolutely recommend this animal clinic to anyone who loves their pets. We have taken all 3 of our cats and now are taking our new puppy. Every time we go we are welcomed by the extremely friendly staff and they take great care with every single animal that walks in the door. You can tell immediately that everyone there enjoys their job and the animals they care for. We love all the staff and are very pleased and thankful to have found them 3 years ago when we moved to AZ. Thank you Palm Valley for loving our pets as much as we do!!

I had my dog put down today and every person in that office showed that they cared for me and my dog. They handled both of us with care and consideration. I had never been to this Animal Clinic before, but they treated me and my dog like they had known us forever. I would recommend this Animial Clinic to anyone.
