I took my dog here for the first time today and I will not be going back. From the staff to the doctor, it sure doesn't seem like they enjoy what they do. Mr. Kile never introduced himself to me, never addressed my dog, and just told me to put my dog on the counter. He then proceeded to spend all of 30 seconds looking over my dog for his physical. Once that was done, he asked what else I needed. I asked him if that was the extent of his physical and he said yes. Not a bad business to make $58 for 30 seconds of work. I understand that some people want to save money and sacrifice service, but I will spend the extra money to take my animals to a place that actually seems to care about animals and isn't rundown. Based on my experience, I wouldn't trust anyone there treating any of my animals, even if it is cheaper. You get what you pay for and I couldn't put my animals life in jeopardy just to save a few bucks. Read Less

My most recent visit with Aashne involved diagnosing my very skinny 20-year old cat. I was conflicted on wanting to ask for tests to be done due to possible results of "fatal" or "no result" occurring. I imagined having to exhaust the list of blood tests all to be told "it's just old age". However, Dr. Kile listened to my concerns and took a good length of time to go over step by step what could be done and what he recommended. I appreciated his 'one step at a time' approach - start with one test, change one aspect of the diet, etc. and go from there. I walked in worried and confused and came out with a clear and concise plan. Read Less

Went with a friend to have her dog put down at Aashane. Went to support her as we all know it is a VERY difficult decision to make. We were in and out in 12 MINUTES! Dr. Kile walked into the room, looked at the dog and said, 'I'll be right back!" He DID NOT greet us. He did not offer sympathy or compassion to her either . . . He did not explain how the procedure was going to take place. He did not explain what he had in his hands. He did not explain how quickly she would go. He said NOTHING! NOTHING at all. Not even so much as an I'm sorry for your loss as he left the room. He left the room with the salutation of, "Take whatever time you need." Those are the only words that were exchanged! Do you know she had been going to him for 15 years with her dog? Maybe he was having a bad day, BUT it is still shameful and disappointing behavior coming from a man that's supposed to show compassion for animals and people alike! Read Less

Sadly, I cannot reccomment Dr. Kile or his office anymore for treating my animals, We had been going to Aashne Animal Hospital for 10 years, but thankfully did not need to go often for anything other than shots. Recently my little dog got caught under my feet and I stepped on her pay, then she began having pain episodes that night where she would yelp/scream, run into the corner, pee herself, and go stiff. I brought her in immediately the next morning to Dr. Kile, and said because he couldn't get her to yelp while she was there that there was not much he could do, so he put her on a mild pain medincine. She only got worse, and wouldn't sleep, kept panting through the night, so I took her back, I asked if it sounds like pain, or is it seizures because I am just not sure what's going on with her, he acted like he was just humoring me to run some blood tests ( I just needed guidance to help my dog ) and $400 later when the tests came back he was smug and said "just as I expected, nothing is wrong with her blood tests". From there he STILL put her on seizure medication, which then made her even MORE sick, and she was waking up from pain 10-12 times a night. I finally called my cousin who works as a Vet tech, and she called her Vet who said , "that does not sound like seizures at all, sounds like when you stepped on her she pinched a nerve or slipped a disc, she should be on a muscle relaxer, steroid, and pain killer, not that mild pain med he gave you and definnitely not the seizure medication". I stopped the meds immediately ( meanwhile she has been like this for a week now, having about 15-20 painful episodes a day and not sleeping at all, and I was told by Dr.Kile to just wait it out). I got her into LifeCare Animal Hospital in Chandler, and they said exactly what my cousin's vet said. That she did NOT have epilepsy, that that medication was given way prematurely, and that she should have been put on a steroid, muscle relaxer, and pain med. Within 24 hours she is doing SOOO much better, sleeping through the night, appetite back, and her episodes are are decreasing dramatically. Aashne Animal hospital wasted $500 of my money on something apparently very easy to diagnose and treat. Cannot recommend them anymore, I feel they were not listening to me or my concerns, and just ran whatever test to get my out of their office, meanwhile my dog was the poor victim.Read Less

I've been going to Aashne for 10 years now and Dr. Kile and his staff are wonderful.  You can tell they really love and care about your animals.  My first experience with Dr. Kile was when I got a German Shepherd puppy that contracted Parvo.  Everyone wanted an arm and a leg to treat my pup and he cured him for only around $300 which included an overnight stay and IV fluids.  He told me he felt sorry that other vets take advantage of people's emotions and get away with highway robbery. One vet quoted me up to 10K to treat my pup with no guarantees he'd survive.  Anyways, I can't say enough good things about this clinic. I drive from Chandler to Mesa to take my dogs there and we're always attended to quickly and professionally and with compassion. Read Less

I know this review is not timely, but I really was not sure if I would put it out there.  But after thinking about it, I feel others should be able to see another side of this vet business.  picture this:  It is Easter weekend, and we realize we are running out of pain killers for our handicapped dog.  We called to ask if they were open Saturday morning, and they said they were, but only until noon.  We said we would be by to pick the meds up, and the receptionist agreed to have them ready to save a little time.  She did warn us not to come late, because they were closing at noon.  We had some other errands to run, and arrived at the vet clinic at 11:40 am.  The doors are all locked and the lights are out, and there is not a single car in the lot.  We call on the phone, and get the emergency service.  So needless to say, this is no longer our vet. When we were here before, it has always been quiet, no other customers but us, and the place looks a little run down.  Maybe this is why he is not so busy.  What kind of customer service is that? Updated review: 2016Still a wonderful vet. Dr. Kile is so great. We've been coming here for 11 years now. We have five cats and boy does it feel like it with the amount of times we have come in his year alone! For regular yearly shots to horrible, unfortunate visits they've covered it all with care to our cats and our wallets. We travel from Phoenix because we love it here so much. Never pressure to go forward with anything unnecessary. I'm not sure why there are negative reviews, misunderstandings shouldn't become negative reflections on businesses.

I've taken 2 of my dogs to Dr Kile and a couple puppies.  He has no people skills and neither do a couple of his staff gals.  He mis-diagnosed one of my dogs and I paid a ton for his services and medication for a treatment that did nothing.  At one point the doctor even argued with me and would never listen to what I had to say.  When asking about a treatment for another of my dogs, I was insulted by Dr Kile.  I will NEVER bring a single dog back to this place which is sad cause their office is so close to my home.

If your in the area, or not this place is all around the best. Read Less
