Not only do I feel that all of the staff genuinely care about every animal that walks through their doors, but try also provide stellar services at insanely affordable rates to the community. I have lived in several other states, and I have had pets my entire life. I have never (until encountering the Spay Neuter Clinic of Mesa) felt that my pets were receiving such unparalleled care and at prices that I never dreamt imaginable. I have had another one of my pets spayed today. My pets are healthy and well cared for. They are never frightened to be there and I have never seen my pets in pain. Without fail, this clinic yet again astonished me with excellent top rated care for my very loved pet, and at knock-out prices! I have been to this location a couple times for my pets. I have never had a problem with the receptionist or the veterinarian assistants - they are always super friendly. However, the veterinarian always seems to have rude/snarky remarks to make regarding how you care for your animal or if you do not understand the types of vaccinations, process etc. So be prepared for those when you go in. I just expect a little more professionalism. Also, the check-in process and waiting time is very slow. It could use a better process to make it more efficient. When I foster dogs, I get them spayed or neutered and fully vaccinated at this particular location. I get there at 6 am and wait for the doors to be opened at 630 am. I'm out by 7 to 715 am. The vet and staff are great. They educate me about my dogs and how to properly care for them. The prices are great as well. I always recommend them to all my family and friends. Can't say enough good things, service was quick, friendly, and very helpful. At least 20 people were in front of me and my cat, and I was still able to make it out in under an hour. It's been a week since we brought my cat to be spayed and i can say that everything seems to be well. It's very cheap and affordable services.   With that being said, expect the place to be a little crowded and the doctors to be in a little rush trying to check your pets. On the bright side, I expected to pick up my cat at around 4 or 5 in the afternoon, but they called me at around 2 pm saying that I can pick up my cat at 3 pm. There are 2 reasons why I'm giving this facility a 4 star review, 1. Is because I have to call 4x before someone helped me to make an appointment for my cat to be fixed. They placed me on hold for 3 to 5 mins then the line gets disconnected, which is very annoying. I might have called on a busy hour, but it's still not right to disconnect a call when you are busy. If anybody from the management is reading this, I suggest you get a call back number from your callers just in case the line gets disconnected. 2. The microchip guy made a mistake with my email address that's why I can't enroll and update my profile on ACK online. I just called the microchipping company to have it fixed but it is still a little bit of a hassle. Over all I will still send my cat there to be vaccinated. Ok. Its cheaper than average. That doesn't excuse front counter guy, and vet to be insulting and rude. If you don't like your job,move on. Counter dude has a position where the childish behavior is simply a power trip that is comical. He was meaner to the elder, which not there yet, I find to be degrading and flat out piss poor.The vet chick started out being short and a bit insulting. She did get better. To her credit. This place makes a TON of money. Due to the assembly line effect. I will be getting a service dog soon. Thankfully the VA will take care of it. I would never put her here. I Foster for a cat rescue and bring kittens here. They have always done a satisfactory job, and I'm glad for their service for rescues. Even though the price is right, I have a warningYou have to get there by 7 a.m. and wait in line. It's a crazy chaotic sceen with a lot of dogs. Your cat may be subjected to dogs coming up to sniff or bark at your cat as shown in the photo. You can't count on the owners to keep their dogs from doing that. Read Less

I typically love this place, but today when I went to drop off my puppy to get her last set of shots and spayed, I was told that he had forgotten to put my appointment down which is totally understandable no bad reviews for the front desk he's always friendly. I used to love this place. Taking animals even those who weren't mine. For vaccines and spay/neuter. But after today no way. They used to listen now they just do whatever they want. Asked for one thing even marked only that and they did more without consulting first. Did they ever think there might be a reason i didnt ask for others??? Yes it's crazy crowded and busy here and you may need to wait nearly an hour depending on what time you arrive, but that is the "price" you pay for the most affordable vaccine and spay situation around here. I waited an hour about with my cat and dog. My dog got his shots and kitty was spayed.  One week post op The incision looks great - clean, and has healed nicely and she's back to her usual self. I just picked up our family's newest member, Serenity, from this facility. I don't know what some people are talking about. I've used this clinic many times over the years, taking advantage of every service offered for my dogs. The staff has always been professional and friendly, especially Jade, she is amazing. This place is amazing!!! The entire staff is so professional and friendly! I can honestly say neither of my dogs would be as healthy or alive without the help of Dr. Archuleta. My lab Bailey has always been afraid to go to the vet but now that I take her exclusively here she is happy! The Dr. Always squats down and pets her and let's her give so many kisses! Treats are involved too! My little dog we rescued when he was just 2 weeks and Dr. A completely stopped everything in her life to give him the care he desperately needed she also took the time to educate me on taking care of him and he is now a happy healthy 4 year old. If you love your animals and hate being called a liar do not take your animals here. We took our dog to be neutered here and they didn't even put a cone on him after surgery. When we got there to pick him up we were told they did not have any cones that fit him. After getting him home we could tell he had already been licking his incision. After I had called them and told them it looked infected a few days later they told me to wait until Friday which was 2 days away. By this time I could see more infection and the sack filled with fluid. Was told this might happen and they said to place warm press to bring down the swelling which actually made it worse. Found out from REAL Vet that we should be icing it. Ended up having to have another surgery to remove the scrotum and clean up the infection. Then they had the nerve to reply to my review on Facebook saying I declined a cone and also declined the scrotum ablation. They told me they didn't even offer that surgery let alone decline it. They also said they would be mailing us the paperwork to show that we declined it but it's been 2 weeks and haven't gotten anything. Terrible company, terrible staff, terrible vet. Don't go here. Got our dog neutered here and I was very disappointed with the after care they provided. First off they brought my dog out without a cone on. So he was sitting in there all day after the surgery without a cone. They told me that they didn't have any his size. Aren't you a spay and neuter clinic? He's under your 100 pound threshold so why would you not have a cone to fit him? Then after I got him home I called a few days later and let them know that the incision looked infected a little. They wanted me to wait until the following Friday to bring him in. Well it got even worse and had to go in for another surgery this weekend to get the scrotum removed and to clean out the infection. Thankfully he is doing better now but not with any help from this place. We left a review on Facebook and they kept lying. I took screenshots of the whole thing. Took 2 of our dogs to get neutered here. Waited in line for almost an hour just to bring them in even though we had an appointment. When we picked them up neither had a cone on. We were told that they didn't have one large enough for the big guy and that if we want one for the little one we will have to pay for it. So we picked up some cones on the way home and after I got our German shepherd inside I noticed his incision was already messed with by him since he didn't have a cone on. I will never ever bring any of my animals to this place again. If your a spay and neuter clinic you should have the damn cones in stock at all times. Also after I called them and told them what was going on because on the 3rd day the scrotum filled with fluid. They wanted me to wait another whole week before I brought him in. He had to have emergency surgery over the weekend to remove the scrotum and get rid of the infection. Honestly just pay a little extra and go to a real vet. January 27, 2017 I took my dog in to get neutered. It was crowded, it was right when the place opened, but I expected it to be busy so that wasn't a big deal to me. I get to the desk to start the check-in process and to fill out paperwork. The guy at the desk gave attitude about my dogs weight. We had called ahead of time before we were going to bring him in and the vet okay'd as our dog is over the weight limit. He was 1 day of turning 11 months and weighs 104lbs. Full breed Lab Retriever. So as I'm trying to fill out paper work with one hand and hold my dog near me with the other, I get the attitude again. "Mmm yes, if you could keep your dog next to you..." The room was filled with owners with their dogs, my dog LOVES other dogs. I'm not trying to let him drag me all over the waiting area. But I can see from your comfortable little seat how easy it is for you. Gotcha! The next 45minutes goes by, I'm waiting out front in the little courtyard area before I'm called in. The vet made me feel like absolute poop. Like I'm a horrible dog owner. If I hadn't had the choke collar on him that morning, my dog definitely would have pulled me back and forth across the waiting area. I get lectured too about waiting too long. Me and my fiancé were not entirely sure if we were going to neuter our dog. I was told that he'll just have more flappy skin down there. So what? I'm not going to be hanging out underneath my dog. The only person who was nice that morning was the vet assistant. I left crying as I had never left my dog like that before and was made to feel like such crap. Thankfully when we went to get our dog at the end of the day the lady at the front desk was nice as well. My dog is beyond spoiled. I waited to type up this review once my dog healed. This isn't my first dog, and the way I was talked to, I would never recommend this place just because of that. There's a wrong way and a right way to talk to people. I love this place! They are very good priced, not overcharging for the basics! They are quick but pay attention to detail and friendly. Dr. Archuleta is great! If you want to spend a lot of time talking to a Vet, go somewhere else! People complain ridiculously about bedside manner but this is a place that services a high volume of patrons and they need to move the crowd efficiently. I took my kitten here who was 7 almost 8 months last year and just now found the Facebook page to write a review. First I was told over the phone if we got to the clinic when it first opened we wouldn't wait long- wrong we waited 2 hours to be seen. Once we finally got seen they kept telling me I was going to have to pay extra because they felt babies in my cats stomach- I told them many times it wasn't possible since I've had her since she was 8 weeks old and has never been outside or in contact with a male cat. When I finally was able to pick her up they kept trying to pressure me into buying a cone at that very moment. I had such anxiety over taking my dog to get spayed...I cried when dropping my Maltipoo off. The staff and vet were super nice in talking me through the procedure and loving on my scared dog. My husband had to do the waiting for the spay dropoff and return for boosters, but I can say that i was so happy with results. Two years ago we thought the deal at PetSmart that included spay would be good. We spent hundreds of dollars extra at the emergency vet when her incision reopened. So much suffering. The guy in the front desk, the vet techs and vet are all friendly, no nonsense and straight to the point. Makes the process extremely easy. Great place to get your pets (my dog) rabies shot. Required by the state. They are cheap at around $20 and best of all no exam charged. I'm not happy. I don't like paying for a service that I didn't receive. I took a six-month old femal cat in for spay and I believe that the vet only made a cut in her skin at the belly but didn't perform the whole procedure. She is still going into heart. Just got back from vaccinating and micro chipping my dogs. I usually make the trip out to the Humane Society but I searched for something closer this time and figured I'd give this clinic a try. I got in at 6:20am with three pets in front of me, and was out by 6:40am; with my TWO dogs fully vaccinated and microchipped. I felt awful because I forgot their collars in my other car, but the staff was super patient with me.From receptionist, to vet techs, to veterinarian...everyone was very gentle & loving with my pups, friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. Much friendlier than I'd be if I were dealing with the public at 6am. 2 dogs fully vaccinated and microchipped for $142?? You can bet I'll be back for my dogs' dental cleanings, not to mention all their vaccinations. I'll definitely be recommending this to everyone at the dog park & all the other fur-parents I know! I chose this clinic based on the great reviews that I saw here. I actually live closer to the Spay Neuter Clinic in Gilbert but since this one had many more favorable reviews I decided to choose this one. I took my 5 year old very healthy dog in on Monday to get her spayed and on first impression I had no concerns: the facility was clean and the staff seemed friendly. She was in and out that day and she seemed to be recovering fine but a few days later she took a turn for the worse and has now been unwilling to move, unwilling to eat or drink, and her abdomen is really swollen. I called the clinic to ask them what I should do and if I should be concerned and the lady who answered the phone told me in a very rude and condescending tone "well, I would be concerned if it was my dog." like I was stupid for asking such a question. I asked if I could bring her in so the vet could take a look at her and she told me that "there's nothing they can do for her." and told me to see a full veterinary facility instead. I'm beyond frustrated and concerned for my dog. When I made an appointment at my local vet the receptionist told me that she had just received a phone call from someone else who had their dog neutered the same day at the same clinic and was also having complications. It is a rough place to go to because of what they are supposed to do!!! Performe high class surgery and procedures at no cost with a customer base who are cheap and not understanding that not everything comes for free!!! The doctor is a passionate animal lover , knowing her job more than most and loving the animals to pieces. If I had a choice she would be my vet for all of my dogs. She is simply a special person expressing her concerns when she detects a need for it. People take that very personal instead of understanding it is not about them!!! My experience here has been horrible.  I took my dog in to be spayed earlier this week and the poor dog developed an infection.  I called concerned trying to schedule a recheck yesterday and was told that the pinkish discharge from the incision was normal.  The discharge got worse throughout the day so I called back and was told to bring her in this morning.  Dr Archuleta checked my dog and blamed the infection on the poor aftercare we have been providing.  I get that some people may not follow through on care, but that simply wasn't the case in this situation.  I also found it disturbing the way that the Dr treated her staff (very demeaning in her communication style in front of clients). The final straw was her being snappy with my 6-year old daughter that was accompanying me.  I will say that Jaime at the front desk and Katrina, one of the vet techs were phenomenal.  Katrina handled an uncomfortable situation with her boss very professionally after noticing that I had become upset.  She compensated very professionally and respectfully by asking questions and providing more explanation without being disrespectful to her boss or making me more uncomfortable.  Additionally, Katrina was very gentle with my super nervous puppy!  Thanks Katrina!!!Due to the poor service provided and Dr Archuleta's lack of interest in understanding the situation with my dog along with her horrible "bedside" manner, we will not be returning. I took my boxer to this place to get him neutered, unfortunately after I found out about the great prices here or I would have brought him for his vaccines as well. The wait in the morning was a bit much but that's nothing considering how easy everything went and my dog came out of it with absolutely no problems and was happy as can be even considering he had just gotten snipped. This is a very busy clinic, but don't be swayed by the wait times. I've taken ALL twelve (12) of my animals to this clinic for surgery and they have all done wonderfully (I've only seen the woman doctor). The incision site is small and clean. However, sometimes it can be a wait to see her in the morning (30 -60 minute wait times) but let me tell you it is well worth the wait .
