Peoria Animal Hospital has always been there for us in a knowledgeable and caring way. They have cared for four of our dogs and three of our cats while living in the Valley. Dr. Satkus has known what tests are important for the health and good care of our pets, but understands our pocketbook and tries not to burden us with a larger bill than we can afford. Dr. Scrimager, also has always been a gentle but knowing veterinarian offering heroic care for our pets. Our pets lived long and were put to sleep peacefully when it was time. Thank you, too, to the desk staff, especially Claudia, for extending extra effort to be there for us and our pets. Their new facility East of the 101 on Peoria Ave. is spacious, inviting and medically equipped! Sorry I can't offer a review of their newest veterinarian, as I have not met her, but I am sure that they picked a good one!

I am very pleased with the service that they provide. All of the doctors there take time with you and explain everything you need to know.. There new location is very nice and clean and everyone there is helpful and nice.

We have been going to Peoria Animal Hospital for several years when we come out for the winter. Dr. Schriminger has also provided us with insight to the thyroid condition Zoe, our cat, has as well as many nuances of her Calico breed. The folks there are friendly, kind, considerate and they are reasonably priced. You cannot go wrong entrusting you pet to the folks at Peoria Animal Hospital!

We have been clients at Peoria Animal Hospital for perhaps two years now after having had a decades long relationship with another clinic. Our animals feel comfortable there (as much as they can, of course!) and the staff are helpful if you need a short notice appointment. I started with Dr. W and loved him; sometimes we have seen other doctors in the clinic and while I approached this change with some trepidation, the care my animals received was excellent. I would recommend Peoria Animal Hospital to anyone wishing to have good veterinary care at what I consider to be affordable rates. I really appreciate that they will take the time to explain your family members situation and the various possibilities and avenues of treatment that you might wish to pursue.

We've tried a lot of different things to figure out what's going on with her and she is finally starting to perk up due to Dr's advice and treatment. The retired Dr. Wannick used to come to me for his haircut. Over the years I got to know stories about his patients and the culture if those who worked in the business.
Recently due to her congestive heart failure, it became time to send my beloved 14 year old Chihuahua, Trixie, over the rainbow bridge. The compassion and respect shown to us was everything one could hope for during thosr final moments.
Also, P.A.H. was less than half the cost of several places my wife had checked into.
I thank this clinic for being there for us in sickness & in health.
I highly recommend this office become your family's vet. You won't be disappointed.

I have seen 2 of the current vets and another who is no longer there. I have been impressed with all of them. My latest and most intense situation has been with Dr. Snow overseeing a health problem with my dog Piper. She has been most caring and helpful in her treatment of the problem and also with me. The office staff is great also. I would recommend Peoria Animal Hospital and especially Dr. Snow to anyone.

I've been bringing my dog here for years. He has epilepsy and if he is having a bad episode my vet (Dr. Skrimanger) is typically easy to reach by phone, but if she is unable to speak at the moment she of course calls me back right away. My pup loves everyone in the office. When they leave the room to grab something he cries. His Rx was $140 at Walmart & Walgreens so she told me about a compounding pharmacy and that same Rx is now $55. Always looking out for me and my pup.

Our husky played with a rattlesnake and wound up here! They were caring, informative and patient. They took excellent care of him and listened to our concerns the whole time. He spent 2 days there undergoing treatment. We called several times a day to check on him and they took our calls without hesitation and even said we could come see him as much as we wanted. Everyone was amazing and so understanding. I never felt pressure to hurry up and "get it over with". You can tell every single person there loves animals. If I could give 0 stars that would be what they earned.
They promised us that they would help us let our faithful friend go on from this world comfortably when the time came. We were reassured he would just go to sleep peacefully and then pass. The Doctor told us if he showed signs that he was in any pain they would not just 'muscle through this', but use an alternative method to ensure it was painless. What he actually did was to do exactly the opposite. As our friend started to cry, the doctor just shoved the anesthetic in faster making him cry out like I had never hear him cry out in his life, it was horrible and they fought with him and killed him in the most cruel way I had ever witnessed. I am so sorry, old friend that I couldn't react and say anything to help you when you needed it.
Stay away from these people if you love your pet.

You will not go wrong with Peoria Animal Hospital! The doctors are awesome and you can tell they really love your animal--almost as much as you do! Services are reasonably priced, and they don't pressure you or guilt you into the most expensive options as some chain veterinarians will. My dog is very fussy with what treats he likes, and even he loves the treats at Peoria Animal Hospital. It really is a family atmosphere!

Dr Satkus is absolutely the best veterinarian!!! The compassion and care he has shown for my girls ( 2 cats) in unequal to any other veterinarian I have met in Arizona. My cat died a few hours after being treated here. She was given an antibiotic for a possible infection. I mentioned every symptom I could to help the doc with the diagnosis because I do realize diagnosing cats is tricky, but to my dismay, he chose to ignore some of the symptoms. I told myself that he is experienced and so hoped for the best, but my poor kitty paid the price. I suggest listening more and some continued medical education. I will be taking my pets elsewhere from now on.

Dr. Wanick is the best! You can tell that he loves animals and he always takes the time to visit with clients instead of just rushing though the appointment. He provided pain relief medicine for one of my dogs after his neutering and this made a tremendous difference in the animals recovery as we had been to another vet in the past where pain meds were not provided after another one of my dogs got spayed.

Our 14 year old cat was not feeling well Tuesday. I called in the morning, and was able to get a 2:15pm appointment. It turned out that she had an abcessed tooth. Dr. Wanick got her into surgery and I was able to pick her up at 4:45pm. She is doing fine now and able to eat! I really appreciate the kindness of the staff and doctors. The cost of treatment appears to be less here that at other veterinary offices I have patronized in the past for similar procedures. I have become a loyal customer and will continue to bring my pets here.

My mom had this place recommended to her a long time ago and took all of our family pets there. Now that I live on my own, I take my pup there too. I have seen both Dr. Wanick and Dr. Scrimager and they are both wonderful and experienced vets. The prices are great as well. I have contacted other vets regarding their prices and these prices were by far the most inexpensive and the care my pets receive is outstanding!

Dr. Wanick is an all-star, we were very lucky to have found him through a recommendation 4 years ago. It is an "old-school" vet hospital and by that I mean it's not a bunch of young vets trying to push the latest and greatest thing going down your throat. He has always been honest with us and allowed us to make our own choice based on the knowledge that he passes on to us. He always takes his time and most recently, today as a matter of fact, Diva had her teeth cleaned and some minor bumps removed and he called me before to verify what was to be done and he took his time afterwards to let me know she was ok. That means the world to a "mommy" like me.You can trust them and trust that your pet will be in good hands. Love them! OH and their pricing, especially for the teeth cleaning was far less than the "new" vets in town.

My latest and most intense situation has been with Dr. Snow overseeing a health problem with my dog Piper. She has been most caring and helpful in her treatment of the problem and also with me. The office staff is great also. I would recommend Peoria Animal Hospital and especially Dr. Snow to anyone.

I've been bringing my dog here for years. He has epilepsy and if he is having a bad episode my vet (Dr. Skrimanger) is typically easy to reach by phone, but if she is unable to speak at the moment she of course calls me back right away. My pup loves everyone in the office. When they leave the room to grab something he cries. His Rx was $140 at Walmart & Walgreens so she told me about a compounding pharmacy and that same Rx is now $55. Always looking out for me and my pup.

Our husky played with a rattlesnake and wound up here! They were caring, informative and patient. They took excellent care of him and listened to our concerns the whole time. He spent 2 days there undergoing treatment. We called several times a day to check on him and they took our calls without hesitation and even said we could come see him as much as we wanted. I would absolutely take my animals here!

I had to say goodbye to my buddy of almost 17 years but they made such a sad and heartbreaking moment into one full of peace. I knew my baby was in good hands. Everyone was amazing and so understanding. I never felt pressure to hurry up and "get it over with". You can tell every single person there loves animals. I will forever be greatful to the entire staff.

I have been taking my fur-babies there for years. The care that they receive is as if they are family. For someone to want to care for my pets as much as myself is so important to us. We appreciate all that the staff does to making my pets feel safe and comfortable. They always greet us and our dogs. I have seen all the vets there and each are our favorites in a different way. If I could give 0 stars that would be what they earned.
They promised us that they would help us let our faithful friend go on from this world comfortably when the time came. We were reassured he would just go to sleep peacefully and then pass. The Doctor told us if he showed signs that he was in any pain they would not just 'muscle through this', but use an alternative method to ensure it was painless. What he actually did was to do exactly the opposite. As our friend started to cry, the doctor just shoved the anesthetic in faster making him cry out like I had never hear him cry out in his life, it was horrible and they fought with him and killed him in the most cruel way I had ever witnessed. I am so sorry, old friend that I couldn't react and say anything to help you when you needed it.
Stay away from these people if you love your pet.

You will not go wrong with Peoria Animal Hospital! The doctors are awesome and you can tell they really love your animal--almost as much as you do! Services are reasonably priced, and they don't pressure you or guilt you into the most expensive options as some chain veterinarians will. My dog is very fussy with what treats he likes, and even he loves the treats at Peoria Animal Hospital. It really is a family atmosphere!

We brought our little 3 yr old chihuahua Rosie in and from the minute you walk in the door you are treated with kindness & compassion! Dr Scrimager has the utmost patience and explained everything to us, while showing our scared Rosie the love she needed. The office staff is terrific and has great customer service. We wouldn't bring our pets anywhere else!!!

Dr Satkus is absolutely the best veterinarian!!! The compassion and care he has shown for my girls ( 2 cats) in unequal to any other veterinarian I have met in Arizona. He actually sits down with you listens to your concerns and is never rushed to finish your appointment. And he even calls you after any treatment or procedure he has performed to his patients!!! I highly recommend this fantastic and caring veterinarian.

My cat died a few hours after being treated here. She was given an antibiotic for a possible infection. I mentioned every symptom I could to help the doc with the diagnosis because I do realize diagnosing cats is tricky, but to my dismay, he chose to ignore some of the symptoms. I told myself that he is experienced and so hoped for the best, but my poor kitty paid the price. I suggest listening more and some continued medical education. I will be taking my pets elsewhere from now on.

Dr. Wanick is the best! You can tell that he loves animals and he always takes the time to visit with clients instead of just rushing though the appointment. He provided pain relief medicine for one of my dogs after his neutering and this made a tremendous difference in the animals recovery as we had been to another vet in the past where pain meds were not provided after another one of my dogs got spayed.

Our 14 year old cat was not feeling well Tuesday. I called in the morning, and was able to get a 2:15pm appointment. It turned out that she had an abcessed tooth. Dr. Wanick got her into surgery and I was able to pick her up at 4:45pm. She is doing fine now and able to eat! I really appreciate the kindness of the staff and doctors. The cost of treatment appears to be less here that at other veterinary offices I have patronized in the past for similar procedures. I have become a loyal customer and will continue to bring my pets here.

My mom had this place recommended to her a long time ago and took all of our family pets there. Now that I live on my own, I take my pup there too. I have seen both Dr. Wanick and Dr. Scrimager and they are both wonderful and experienced vets. The prices are great as well. I have contacted other vets regarding their prices and these prices were by far the most inexpensive and the care my pets receive is outstanding!

Dr. Wanick is an all-star, we were very lucky to have found him through a recommendation 4 years ago. It is an "old-school" vet hospital and by that I mean it's not a bunch of young vets trying to push the latest and greatest thing going down your throat. He has always been honest with us and allowed us to make our own choice based on the knowledge that he passes on to us. He always takes his time and most recently, today as a matter of fact, Diva had her teeth cleaned and some minor bumps removed and he called me before to verify what was to be done and he took his time afterwards to let me know she was ok. That means the world to a "mommy" like me.You can trust them and trust that your pet will be in good hands. Love them! OH and their pricing, especially for the teeth cleaning was far less than the "new" vets in town.
