Going into Blue Pearl E.R for our baby I felt there could have been more that could have been done. I know the doctors did what they could but i felt more could have been done! On a budget of our approved credit, we felt what the doctors recommended for our baby boy at the moment of his Emergency appointment wasn't the best choice at that moment for his needs (He got treated for what would make him feel better at the moment but it wasn't what he needed!) Why inject him with body fluids and on top of that knowing he couldn't use the restroom because of his problems and then getting sent home telling us to make an appointment with a veterinarian dr within 1-2 days?? It was noticeable he was in pain and we should have never been sent home with the worries of trying to find another appointment for our baby if that's what we came to you/Blue Pearl E.R for. I personally felt my money was just taken and I didn't receive the right help and felt better choices could have been made when it came to treatment options for Our baby. I was already worried and concerned! I felt the doctors should of taken more control of the situation and tell us what needs to be done, NOT leave the choices to us to make. Coming home with high hopes my baby will get through this because of the doctors orders 1-2days he should be seen, only lead up to my baby passing away. I even had a appointment for him the next day!!! Receiving his test results after he passed was devastating. If there wasn't much doctors could have done for our baby they could of at least been honest and not take our money. I would have rather ended his misery then to watch him suffer the way he did. R.I.P to my baby boy just know we really did try to get you the help you deserve but sadly we trusted in the wrong company/people. Forever in our hearts and never forgotten. We NEVER looked at him as a pet and wasn't treated like one. He was our baby boy famiILY! **!!Don't bother responding to my post because at this point there's NOTHING you can SAY or DO! There are better options out there. They are extremely rude to their customers and their pets. It is a depressing hole where they kill animals. It makes no money so when someone comes in they leave their wallets empty. Of you come in here you will come out without a leg and an arm. Pets come out very sad and some crying. If you care about your pet don't bring it here to this rotten hole. You will regret it for the rest of your life. Take them to the Glendale Animal Hospital. My only complaint is that as soon as I got here all I heard was that “we are really expensive” the assistant told me my dog needed x-rays, blood work and might need surgery and that they are really expensive and they don’t have a payment plan.... I took my dog in because he was caughting none stop and all I heard was well we are really expensive... I understand a hospital is expensive, I will not take my dog to a hospital vet with no money, but there’s a way to talk about prices to me they were super rude and they are overpriced, the lady said xrays are $400 here and I went somewhere else and I paid $250 for xrays also being an emergency hospital. This was my second time trying to take any of my pets here but I wilm never bring go back. For me customer service goes a long way and I don’t mind driving further for someone who is going to treat me with respect. Read Less

Well let's just say that this place is a complete rip-off in extremely rude. I would rate them a 5 out of 5 Stars if they refunded a portion of our CareCredit, but we all know how corporations think. Basically I brought my dog in and they charged us $2,200 S4 poor stitches that had to be redone by a different veterinarian. They also didn't put a drain in and the other veterinarian did. Furthermore they gave horrible care advice. The other veterinarian was only $800 and did more than double what this place did. Luckily my dog is now on her way to recovery. Our dog, Sammi has not been her normal self... The weekend was rough and this morning at 3am, she wokeme up to let me see she had been bleeding and was in pain. I swooped her up and took her to the ER. At 3:15 am needless to say as tears are pouring from my eyes, they took her in and assessed the situation. Pricing was very reasonable and her diagnosis was quick and throughly. She will have surgery later today- which the doc gave me different places to call because of pricing. It's not everyday day that you have to take your beloved pet to the hospital early in the morning, however I'm grateful they were there to help our pup. Yes, they are expensive, but they are a hospital. You are paying to be seen immediately and they have expensive medical equipment on hand that most vets don't have. If I'm sick and go to a hospital I know it's going to cost more than my primary care physician for the same reason. I have fear aggressive American Bulldog, I usually have to keep my dog muzzled and most vets and techs stay as far away from my dog as possible and make me feel like she's a bad dog. Every time I've been to Blue Pearl they have always treated my dog so well and never acted or treated her like she was bad. They understand she is scared and are calm and patient and act like they really care about her. Read Less

Was my first time ever going as my puppy suffered from head trauma, and when I walk in i let the receptionist know I'm in for my puppy and she rudly replied "Ok first off I don't know what you're talking about" and continued giving me a horrible attitude after. Instead of paying for more medical attention for my pup I preferred to leave and go else where. Will never return to this place. Also I can't believe I paid for "half a day" and I brought my puppy in at 3:00pm and they called me back for my pup at 10:00pm. As I recall a full day is 24 hours, half a day is 12. Then they told me that if I can't pay for another "half day" then I will have to take my puppy home. Obviously money is more important than life. This was a pathetic excuse for an emergency animal hospital. If you do not have a lot of money or a credit card to drop thousands of dollars on, then go elsewhere. We brought in our cat who ended up needing an emergency procedure according to the vet. That procedure cost $2.6k and we could not afford it. They do not allow payment plans, more than likely due to their partnership with CareCredit who would lose money if payment plans were offered. We couldn't get our vet into another vet due to unfortunate circumstances and they could not help us unless we paid them first, in full.It then became clear, they do not care about you or your pet. They are a corporate entity who gouges prices and then takes advantage of your emotions to make a profit. In the end we were forced to euthanize our baby or else he would have had to suffer and die painfully. Please find a private vet or hospital with a staff that truly cares and would be willing to work with you. Your pet will only leave here in you have thousands in savings. Read Less

Unlike what their website says they do not work with you to treat your pets.My mother was in here for over 4 hours waiting on a doctor because her dog was attacked and his eye was literally hanging out of the socket. They kept her their with no treatment. They told her unless she gave then 2500 dollars on the spot she had to leave. Lucky for her there is a place less then a half a mile away that will treat her beloved animal for 1100 dollars and will allow her to make payments. Also with no treatment and a little pain medicine for the dog they handed her a bill for 135 dollars. I will be reporting this place for their misconduct. Read Less

This place is amazing!! I have a ferret which is considered a exotic animal. All exotic animal owners know how hard it is to find a vet, and on a Friday evening at 9pm , I had a very difficult time finding an emergency vet to take my ferret which was swelled up like a balloon and barely breathing!! This place told me they only saw dog and cats, but would be willing to see and do what they could for my ferret! I was extremely relieved after calling about 10 other places!! They took him in and cared for him to best of there knowlege, and I am happy to say I have my ferret Mac with us today!! I am greatful for this animal hospital and would recommend them to anyone!! The doctor was extremely nice and told us she would do all that she could to help us. I wanted to write this review to let them know how happy we are to have Mac and to say Thank you!! We had to make the painful decision to say goodbye to our Greyhound after he broke his leg and we learned he had osteosarcoma. It was absolutely heartbreaking and everything occurred in less than 24 hours. My husband and I were fortunate enough to have Dr. Travis Linney with us when we had to make the painful decision to end our dog's suffering. Dr. Linney has amazing bedside manner. He was compassionate, kind, and helped us feel more at peace with our difficult decision. We had never met Dr. Linney before, and given the extent of our dog's broken leg we were unable to take him to his usual veterinarian. He treated us and our Eddie as if he had known us for years. It was a heartbreaking day, but we are glad that Dr. Linney was there with us. Thank you, Dr. Linney. You have a gift and you've chosen the right profession. When we first arrived they had us fill out some paperwork took our poor little Canela and had us wait for an HOUR AND A HALF!!! Before they told me anything, I get that it's a pet hospital and that they might have patients that may need more intensive care but seriously no one was in the waiting room and the facility seemed to have a full staff while I was waiting not once was I updated or blue to see my Canela. I became overwhelmed after an hour and a half of waiting so I then asked if I could get an update on the situation me to see/be with my Canela so they let me see her and be with her in one of the back rooms after about waiting another 30 minutes the doctor asked a series of questions and "and said "we checked her vitals and everything seems to be normal other than some dehydration" then left. shortly after a nurse named  came in and immediately asked "what's your budget looking like tonight" I understand treatments can be costly but when you're a pet owner cost isn't a matter the way she presented her self as a technician in a veterinarian hospital was  more than unprofessional it was degrading! After waiting for 2.5 hours and getting absolutely nowhere they wanted to layout some procedures that the doctor hadn't even discussed or went over. THEY JUST WANT MONEY!!!! I simply asked if we could be checked out and discharged I paid the $95 and left we went to another vet and the problem was solved. April you need another course in customer satisfaction and apparently a different approach if you're going to be getting paid off of commission! Read Less

Took my dog here after she had an allergic reaction on Sunday night. I called ahead and the customer service was excellent. The lady gave me calm and clear instructions which was much appreciated as I was a little panicky. I also asked about pricing in case I needed to bring my credit card, and she was very clear about the $95.00 consultation fee and any other medication or whatnot that would be added once they looked at her. When I arrived, the place was pretty empty, and they got my dog taken to the back for "triage" right away. The tech and staff seemed very efficient. After I was put in the room with my dog and they were able to stop her allergic reaction, I spoke with the vet who was very clear and professional, and then left alone for 30 minutes to make sure my dog didn't have any more side effects before we could leave. 40 minutes later I left the room on my own because I was really bored and my dog seemed much better - she was anxious by just sitting in the room and I thought she had been through enough so I wanted her to get out too. Then, the front desk lady was a bit less nice, but it was 11:00 pm at an emergency animal vet so I guess that's to be expected, though it wasn't really busy at all. She had me wait about 10 more minutes before the vet came back out, checked my dog one last time, and said she was good to go. I ended up paying about $200.00 which seemed fairly reasonable for an emergency vet. I didn't feel pressured into more expensive services or anything of the sort. They were efficient and professional, except when I was left to wait for 40 minutes. Overall I was happy with this place. It wasn't super clean but it's a vet so what can you do. I've been to a VCA hospital which was super clean and professional, but I ended up paying a ton of money for services that would not have helped my dog so I was reluctant to go back there again. I much prefer professional staff and a little dirt on the floor over a super clean facility with vets that try to overcharge you. I will come to Blue Pearl for any other future emergencies (hopefully not). Read Less

I brought my dog in here in a terrifying state - he had heart failure and was unable to breathe or walk. The staff attended to him immediately. I was able to sit down with his doctor shortly after he was seen to discuss options. She recommended hospitalization and said that he still had a chance of bouncing back. They not only stabilized him, but also communicated directly with his cardiologist to recommend an appropriate treatment plan for the day we got home, and the following days. Dr. Caldwell was a pleasure to work with - she definitely knows her stuff! She's a straight-shooter, but compassionate at the same time. Jesse handled the intake & financials and she has a VERY calming & kind demeanor. She goes out her way to make you comfortable, and not rush any decisions that need to be made. I'm so appreciative of the care that my dog received, and my experience working with this staff and facility. :-)Read Less

Very rude staff! While waiting in the examine room the technician entered the room and grabbed our dog out of my wife's arms and cut her off mid sentence. After asking her name she stated "you don't need to know my name". After asking another tech I leaned her name was Diana. No concern for our pet. On top of all this the examine room was unsanitary the floor was covered in dust and debris. After telling the tech and Dr. our dog could not have antibiotics (clavimox) , they came in with a sheet to sign with total charges and there it was a charge for antibiotics! They wanted to give her antibiotics but no fluids. Very unprofessional and a disgrace to the veterinary field. The only thing they did that was decent was give a good quote. **Take your pet to a different emergency animal hospital** Terrible customer service. I waited 1 hour  for the vet to suggest her treatment another hour for the very rude technician April when I say rude I mean it. I smiled I told her look my dog is wagging her tail for you she's been sad all day. No smile no care no words other than straight to the breakdown on the bill to tell me it's going to cost $1,800 to treat my pet. I told her there was no way I could pay that. Immediately she marked a big line though the bill with her pen and stormed out. Another "tech" came in maybe 10 minutes later and asked if we were going to apply for the credit card I told it's probably best if I don't and she said "so what do you want to do?!" I was appalled I want care for my pet. I had already told them my budget. I told her I just need to get her what the vet thinks is a priority not a bill to spend the night at the hospital. Another 20 minutes go by with no status on what the vet recommends at this point I'm ready to leave. I get up exit the room and here comes April asking if there if any further treatment we would like to receive. What do you mean April? My poor pup never even received treatment. I told her yes I am trying to get my pup the treatment that is needed the most. In return she says ok let me get the discharge papers for you. What?! I can't believe this I thought she was going to say let me get the vet out here to talk to you and escort me back to the room. In the end I paid $95 for the examine that got us nowhere. We had a wonderful experience with Blue Pearl and I am so grateful for what they have done for us. My pitbull Rado came in last week with a severe rattlesnake bite. The staff at Blue Pearl raced out to my vehicle and quickly retrieved him. He was suffering badly. He was being transferred from their other facility in Phoenix. They promptly took him to the back in triage, assessed his damages, and promptly had me in a back room talking to the amazing Dr. Travis Linney. This man is wonderful with dogs and the owners/parents of the dogs. He is kind, warm, and genuinely cares about the animals (and the family of the dogs). He is extremely knowledgeable with veterinary medicine. I am very impressed with Dr. Linney. I actually grew to like him a lot. He was really nice to me and had a great personality. Another doctor I want to mention is Dr. Katherine Smith, she is a critical care specialist. She has been absolutely wonderful with Rado. She knew exactly what to do to save his life, from the amount of medications to treating his pneumonia. She was kind and gentle with him, smart and straightforward. She is an outstanding physician with a very good bedside manner. She's also beautiful and Rado loves the pretty ladies. The last two days of Rado's stay Dr. Dana Caldwell has been caring for him. She is also an amazing doctor, very smart, kind, and sensitive. She was wonderful with assessing the issues with Rado and being very careful about his medications. She was extremely knowledgeable and very sweet to Rado (and me). I cannot say enough about this team of professionals. I have never been treated better by an emergency facility. The front desk staff has been wonderful with me. They answered all my questions, they are kind and sensitive, knowing how scared I was that Rado wasn't going to make it, Kayla and the others (too many to name all of them) comforted me when I came in and talked to me about Rado, they got the staff on the phone promptly every time I called wanting an update, and when I came to visit they got me back to Rado immediately. When Rado peed all over the lobby floor I felt so bad and they just laughed and said, "this happens all the time, don't worry about it". The nurses and techs caring for Rado 24-hours a day were amazing, they were smart and sweet, they took care of my baby like he was their own. I will never forget the love and kindness shown by the staff at this hospital. I truly did not think Rado was going to pull through this, they saved his life. They knew exactly what to do in every situation presented to them. This was not a simple snake bite. Rado had some other issues, he has Cushing's Disease, he has a thyroid issue, he has arthritis, and he's 12 on top of all of this. He is alive today because of the experts at Blue Pearl. I came in today with my puppy that was bit by a rattlesnake. Unfortunately, the start to my visit there was less than ideal. As you can imagine I was in panic mode and very upset. The front desk staff was incredibly rude! I expected to be greeted with open arms and to be reassured and made more comfortable, unfortunately I was made to feel like a bad owner, and an inconvenience to the man and woman at the front. They then began to laugh and have an irrelevant conversation instead of being compassionate that I'm not in a good state of mind and do not want to listen to them talk and laugh. Then the man asked me for my drivers licence and debit card and as I was getting it out he began to text and then I let him know I was ready to pay and he snapped at me that he needed a minute, and continued to text. The only thing that saved my visit from being an awful experience was that the vet and techs were very nice and there was a different girl at the front when I left named Hailey and she was very nice! I previously have sent a lot of business here before and I am second guessing doing it in the future because of how I was treated this morning.Read Less

Worst. You're better off getting an explanation from the tarot reader across the street. Only star I'd give was to the girl at the reception who remained professional. I brought my pup in for a digestive concern wanting to make sure she's all good. She was hiccuping and trying to vomit but couldn't. After prying out of the Dr. she was fine she said she would write my pup and I a "business plan". After she leaves we wait another 15 minutes to have the nurse(ish) bring in a $500 invoice with charges including xrays and anti-vomiting vaccines. When I asked for an explanation of the vaccines I was told it was for my dog to stop vomiting. Clearly no one listened to a word I said about her already nothing able to vomit. Very disappointed as I feel as if BluePearl veterinary is taking advantage of these passionate pet lovers in a time of stress and confusion! Read Less

I came home from work last week and found my dog near death. There was bloody diarrhea all over the house. The dog was barely breathing. I yelled to my husband to google the nearest emergency veterinary hospital. By the time we arrived here I had done CPR on him. He barely had a pulse and no blood pressure. The staff and doctors immediately took him, triaged him and ultimately saved his life. I will forever be grateful.It is impossible to make rational decisions in this situation, and I had to trust that they were doing everything necessary. Nothing more and nothing less. He made it through the night. I visited him in the morning and he was alert and eating a little. I agreed he should spend the day for observation and some more bloodwork.After he was stabilized and it was clear he was going to be OK, I did get the sense that they were starting to offer more services, like suggesting he stay an extra night, do more bloodwork, etc. Again, its hard to question motive when its life and death. These people worked a miracle for my dog and I hope their motives are always clear and honest Read Less

They gave my 5# chihuahua three times the IV medication he needed. He stayed the night and he was no better off when I picked him up. They charged me almost $1000 in the end for basically 4 drug injections (one drug they used 3 times the amount they were supposed according to the neurologist) and a one weeks prescription and a blood test. Also, I paid a ridiculous amount of emergency and critical care fees and they were not going to even give compressions if his heart stopped without charging me an addition $500 per their resuscitation addendum. They originally tried to get me to pay for a $1600 treatment plan. It's hard to sort what is really necessary in a state of distress. The last thing a person needs is to be swindled in their time of despair. They take advantage of people. IMMORAL!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! Read Less

Update to my post from earlier this evening. Id give them a 5 star negative rating if I could. Waste of money and time. Liars and completely insensitive. Customer service reps are rude and disrespectful. Our kitty started vomitting and acting out of sorts. After several hours of this we took him here because of course it was after hours on a weekend and we were worried it was some type of poisioning. Over $600 and several hours later we still do not know what's wrong. They want to keep him overnight, administer fluids and more xrays in the morning. Of course that's another $750. If the xrays tonight look good, other than some slight swelling in the small intestine which they contributed to gas why do you need to do more xrays in the morning?! Agreed to have them administer some fluids since he's dehydrated and some tummy medicine for another $150. Over $750 for no diagnosis. When we asked about his care the front office staff became very defensive and argumentative. We were told they administered fluids when he came in although we weren't told they did so, that we just surprised it. The lady started yelling and telling us that she didn't have time for us. If you are that overwhelmed hire more staff and replace your current staff with caring individuals. How sad that we had to go thru this. They take advantage of people in stressful/emotional times. They were less than compassionate, all they wanted was to upsell us. No one knew what was going on with him. No updates and when asked we were made to feel that we were a bother. I should have known better from past dealings with them. We spent $600 for a dog to get stitches and now almost a similar prices, for what. I'm not even sure they did what we were billed for. I knew he wasn't gonna make it but thought maybe I I take him here they will be nice enough to help him through the pain and put him down. The lady at the front desk was very rude and it made me sad to think "there are still nice people that won't just leave an animal to die on the side of the roadI wanted to wait and see if he had a chance and the lady m me sign a paper saying once I relinquish a stray they can not and will not give me anymore info. Like, I went out of my way to drive all the way over here and you can't even say thank you for helping the poor animal or tell me if he might live or not, Jesus and she said "well if you say he is yours then, we can give you more info" oh and to know how much they charge to put an animal down. I should have know better from a passed visit with my puppy I had to put down because of Parvovirus, all they cared about was money. Not how much I was crying or how sad my daughter was. They turned us down because we didn't have the money to put him down. They let him suffer. I brought a stray injured cat into this clinic tonight, at the instruction of the Humane society. My intent was to get him medical care for an open wound on his neck, and was told by the humane society that this clinic would do so, then the clini would arrange pickup by the humane society the next day. The girl at the check-in counter was downright nasty. She didnt seem to care a bit about the animal's welfare, and greeted me with the phrase "You need to call the humane society". When I told her that I had an hour before, she tried to insist that I take the animal there. So I called the humane society right at the checkin counter so she could hear them reiterate the instructions to care for the animals wound until the society could collect the cat in the morning. She proceeded to rant at me about how she wouldnt give me any information about the animal (fine with me, as I was just trying to help an injured stray), and more than implied that me coming in to drop off this poor little injured stray was a major inconvenience for her. I will NEVER take my own pets to this facility. I was simply a good Samaritan who battled rush hour to get medical attention for a kitty in need. This employee seemed so disconnected from the actual care of the animal. Read Less

Going into Blue Pearl E.R for our baby I felt there could have been more that could have been done. I know the doctors did what they could but i felt more could have been done! On a budget of our approved credit, we felt what the doctors recommended for our baby boy at the moment of his Emergency appointment wasn't the best choice at that moment for his needs (He got treated for what would make him feel better at the moment but it wasn't what he needed!) Why inject him with body fluids and on top of that knowing he couldn't use the restroom because of his problems and then getting sent home telling us to make an appointment with a veterinarian dr within 1-2 days?? It was noticeable he was in pain and we should have never been sent home with the worries of trying to find another appointment for our baby if that's what we came to you/Blue Pearl E.R for. I personally felt my money was just taken and I didn't receive the right help and felt better choices could have been made when it came to treatment options for Our baby. I was already worried and concerned! I felt the doctors should of taken more control of the situation and tell us what needs to be done, NOT leave the choices to us to make. Coming home with high hopes my baby will get through this because of the doctors orders 1-2days he should be seen, only lead up to my baby passing away. I even had a appointment for him the next day!!! Receiving his test results after he passed was devastating. If there wasn't much doctors could have done for our baby they could of at least been honest and not take our money. I would have rather ended his misery then to watch him suffer the way he did. R.I.P to my baby boy just know we really did try to get you the help you deserve but sadly we trusted in the wrong company/people. Forever in our hearts and never forgotten. There are better options out there. They are extremely rude to their customers and their pets. It is a depressing hole where they kill animals. It makes no money so when someone comes in they leave their wallets empty. Of you come in here you will come out without a leg and an arm. Pets come out very sad and some crying. If you care about your pet don't bring it here to this rotten hole. You will regret it for the rest of your life. Take them to the Glendale Animal Hospital. I took my dog in because he was caughting none stop and all I heard was well we are really expensive... I understand a hospital is expensive, I will not take my dog to a hospital vet with no money, but there’s a way to talk about prices to me they were super rude and they are overpriced, the lady said xrays are $400 here and I went somewhere else and I paid $250 for xrays also being an emergency hospital. This was my second time trying to take any of my pets here but I wilm never bring go back. For me customer service goes a long way and I don’t mind driving further for someone who is going to treat me with respect. Read Less

Well let's just say that this place is a complete rip-off in extremely rude. I would rate them a 5 out of 5 Stars if they refunded a portion of our CareCredit, but we all know how corporations think. Basically I brought my dog in and they charged us $2,200 S4 poor stitches that had to be redone by a different veterinarian. They also didn't put a drain in and the other veterinarian did. Furthermore they gave horrible care advice. The other veterinarian was only $800 and did more than double what this place did. Luckily my dog is now on her way to recovery. I swooped her up and took her to the ER. At 3:15 am needless to say as tears are pouring from my eyes, they took her in and assessed the situation. Pricing was very reasonable and her diagnosis was quick and throughly. She will have surgery later today- which the doc gave me different places to call because of pricing. It's not everyday day that you have to take your beloved pet to the hospital early in the morning, however I'm grateful they were there to help our pup. Yes, they are expensive, but they are a hospital. You are paying to be seen immediately and they have expensive medical equipment on hand that most vets don't have. If I'm sick and go to a hospital I know it's going to cost more than my primary care physician for the same reason. I have fear aggressive American Bulldog, I usually have to keep my dog muzzled and most vets and techs stay as far away from my dog as possible and make me feel like she's a bad dog. Every time I've been to Blue Pearl they have always treated my dog so well and never acted or treated her like she was bad. Instead of paying for more medical attention for my pup I preferred to leave and go else where. Will never return to this place. Also I can't believe I paid for "half a day" and I brought my puppy in at 3:00pm and they called me back for my pup at 10:00pm. As I recall a full day is 24 hours, half a day is 12. This was a pathetic excuse for an emergency animal hospital. If you do not have a lot of money or a credit card to drop thousands of dollars on, then go elsewhere. We brought in our cat who ended up needing an emergency procedure according to the vet. That procedure cost $2.6k and we could not afford it. They do not allow payment plans, more than likely due to their partnership with CareCredit who would lose money if payment plans were offered. We couldn't get our vet into another vet due to unfortunate circumstances and they could not help us unless we paid them first, in full.It then became clear, they do not care about you or your pet. They are a corporate entity who gouges prices and then takes advantage of your emotions to make a profit. In the end we were forced to euthanize our baby or else he would have had to suffer and die painfully. Please find a private vet or hospital with a staff that truly cares and would be willing to work with you. Your pet will only leave here in you have thousands in savings. Read Less

They kept her their with no treatment. They told her unless she gave then 2500 dollars on the spot she had to leave. Lucky for her there is a place less then a half a mile away that will treat her beloved animal for 1100 dollars and will allow her to make payments. All exotic animal owners know how hard it is to find a vet, and on a Friday evening at 9pm , I had a very difficult time finding an emergency vet to take my ferret which was swelled up like a balloon and barely breathing!! This place told me they only saw dog and cats, but would be willing to see and do what they could for my ferret! I was extremely relieved after calling about 10 other places!! They took him in and cared for him to best of there knowlege, and I am happy to say I have my ferret Mac with us today!! I am greatful for this animal hospital and would recommend them to anyone!! It was absolutely heartbreaking and everything occurred in less than 24 hours. My husband and I were fortunate enough to have Dr. Travis Linney with us when we had to make the painful decision to end our dog's suffering. Dr. Linney has amazing bedside manner. He was compassionate, kind, and helped us feel more at peace with our difficult decision. We had never met Dr. Linney before, and given the extent of our dog's broken leg we were unable to take him to his usual veterinarian. He treated us and our Eddie as if he had known us for years. It was a heartbreaking day, but we are glad that Dr. Linney was there with us. Thank you, Dr. Linney. You have a gift and you've chosen the right profession. When we first arrived they had us fill out some paperwork took our poor little Canela and had us wait for an HOUR AND A HALF!!! Before they told me anything, I get that it's a pet hospital and that they might have patients that may need more intensive care but seriously no one was in the waiting room and the facility seemed to have a full staff while I was waiting not once was I updated or blue to see my Canela. I became overwhelmed after an hour and a half of waiting so I then asked if I could get an update on the situation me to see/be with my Canela so they let me see her and be with her in one of the back rooms after about waiting another 30 minutes the doctor asked a series of questions and "and said "we checked her vitals and everything seems to be normal other than some dehydration" then left. shortly after a nurse named  came in and immediately asked "what's your budget looking like tonight" I understand treatments can be costly but when you're a pet owner cost isn't a matter the way she presented her self as a technician in a veterinarian hospital was  more than unprofessional it was degrading! After waiting for 2.5 hours and getting absolutely nowhere they wanted to layout some procedures that the doctor hadn't even discussed or went over. THEY JUST WANT MONEY!!!! I simply asked if we could be checked out and discharged I paid the $95 and left we went to another vet and the problem was solved. April you need another course in customer satisfaction and apparently a different approach if you're going to be getting paid off of commission! Read Less

Took my dog here after she had an allergic reaction on Sunday night. I called ahead and the customer service was excellent. The lady gave me calm and clear instructions which was much appreciated as I was a little panicky. I also asked about pricing in case I needed to bring my credit card, and she was very clear about the $95.00 consultation fee and any other medication or whatnot that would be added once they looked at her. When I arrived, the place was pretty empty, and they got my dog taken to the back for "triage" right away. The tech and staff seemed very efficient. After I was put in the room with my dog and they were able to stop her allergic reaction, I spoke with the vet who was very clear and professional, and then left alone for 30 minutes to make sure my dog didn't have any more side effects before we could leave. 40 minutes later I left the room on my own because I was really bored and my dog seemed much better - she was anxious by just sitting in the room and I thought she had been through enough so I wanted her to get out too. Then, the front desk lady was a bit less nice, but it was 11:00 pm at an emergency animal vet so I guess that's to be expected, though it wasn't really busy at all. She had me wait about 10 more minutes before the vet came back out, checked my dog one last time, and said she was good to go. I ended up paying about $200.00 which seemed fairly reasonable for an emergency vet. I didn't feel pressured into more expensive services or anything of the sort. They were efficient and professional, except when I was left to wait for 40 minutes. Overall I was happy with this place. It wasn't super clean but it's a vet so what can you do. I've been to a VCA hospital which was super clean and professional, but I ended up paying a ton of money for services that would not have helped my dog so I was reluctant to go back there again. I much prefer professional staff and a little dirt on the floor over a super clean facility with vets that try to overcharge you. I will come to Blue Pearl for any other future emergencies (hopefully not). Read Less

I was able to sit down with his doctor shortly after he was seen to discuss options. She recommended hospitalization and said that he still had a chance of bouncing back. They not only stabilized him, but also communicated directly with his cardiologist to recommend an appropriate treatment plan for the day we got home, and the following days. Dr. Caldwell was a pleasure to work with - she definitely knows her stuff! She's a straight-shooter, but compassionate at the same time. Jesse handled the intake & financials and she has a VERY calming & kind demeanor. She goes out her way to make you comfortable, and not rush any decisions that need to be made. On top of all this the examine room was unsanitary the floor was covered in dust and debris. After telling the tech and Dr. our dog could not have antibiotics (clavimox) , they came in with a sheet to sign with total charges and there it was a charge for antibiotics! They wanted to give her antibiotics but no fluids. Very unprofessional and a disgrace to the veterinary field. The only thing they did that was decent was give a good quote. I smiled I told her look my dog is wagging her tail for you she's been sad all day. No smile no care no words other than straight to the breakdown on the bill to tell me it's going to cost $1,800 to treat my pet. I told her there was no way I could pay that. Immediately she marked a big line though the bill with her pen and stormed out. Another "tech" came in maybe 10 minutes later and asked if we were going to apply for the credit card I told it's probably best if I don't and she said "so what do you want to do?!" I was appalled I want care for my pet. I had already told them my budget. I told her I just need to get her what the vet thinks is a priority not a bill to spend the night at the hospital. Another 20 minutes go by with no status on what the vet recommends at this point I'm ready to leave. I get up exit the room and here comes April asking if there if any further treatment we would like to receive. What do you mean April? My poor pup never even received treatment. I told her yes I am trying to get my pup the treatment that is needed the most. In return she says ok let me get the discharge papers for you. What?! I can't believe this I thought she was going to say let me get the vet out here to talk to you and escort me back to the room. In the end I paid $95 for the examine that got us nowhere. We had a wonderful experience with Blue Pearl and I am so grateful for what they have done for us. My pitbull Rado came in last week with a severe rattlesnake bite. The staff at Blue Pearl raced out to my vehicle and quickly retrieved him. He was suffering badly. He was being transferred from their other facility in Phoenix. They promptly took him to the back in triage, assessed his damages, and promptly had me in a back room talking to the amazing Dr. Travis Linney. This man is wonderful with dogs and the owners/parents of the dogs. He is kind, warm, and genuinely cares about the animals (and the family of the dogs). He is extremely knowledgeable with veterinary medicine. I am very impressed with Dr. Linney. I actually grew to like him a lot. He was really nice to me and had a great personality. Another doctor I want to mention is Dr. Katherine Smith, she is a critical care specialist. She has been absolutely wonderful with Rado. She knew exactly what to do to save his life, from the amount of medications to treating his pneumonia. She was kind and gentle with him, smart and straightforward. She is an outstanding physician with a very good bedside manner. She's also beautiful and Rado loves the pretty ladies. The last two days of Rado's stay Dr. Dana Caldwell has been caring for him. She is also an amazing doctor, very smart, kind, and sensitive. She was wonderful with assessing the issues with Rado and being very careful about his medications. She was extremely knowledgeable and very sweet to Rado (and me). I cannot say enough about this team of professionals. I have never been treated better by an emergency facility. The front desk staff has been wonderful with me. They answered all my questions, they are kind and sensitive, knowing how scared I was that Rado wasn't going to make it, Kayla and the others (too many to name all of them) comforted me when I came in and talked to me about Rado, they got the staff on the phone promptly every time I called wanting an update, and when I came to visit they got me back to Rado immediately. When Rado peed all over the lobby floor I felt so bad and they just laughed and said, "this happens all the time, don't worry about it". The nurses and techs caring for Rado 24-hours a day were amazing, they were smart and sweet, they took care of my baby like he was their own. I will never forget the love and kindness shown by the staff at this hospital. I truly did not think Rado was going to pull through this, they saved his life. They knew exactly what to do in every situation presented to them. This was not a simple snake bite. Rado had some other issues, he has Cushing's Disease, he has a thyroid issue, he has arthritis, and he's 12 on top of all of this. He is alive today because of the experts at Blue Pearl. I came in today with my puppy that was bit by a rattlesnake. Unfortunately, the start to my visit there was less than ideal. As you can imagine I was in panic mode and very upset. The front desk staff was incredibly rude! I expected to be greeted with open arms and to be reassured and made more comfortable, unfortunately I was made to feel like a bad owner, and an inconvenience to the man and woman at the front. They then began to laugh and have an irrelevant conversation instead of being compassionate that I'm not in a good state of mind and do not want to listen to them talk and laugh. Then the man asked me for my drivers licence and debit card and as I was getting it out he began to text and then I let him know I was ready to pay and he snapped at me that he needed a minute, and continued to text. The only thing that saved my visit from being an awful experience was that the vet and techs were very nice and there was a different girl at the front when I left named Hailey and she was very nice! I previously have sent a lot of business here before and I am second guessing doing it in the future because of how I was treated this morning.Read Less

Worst. You're better off getting an explanation from the tarot reader across the street. Only star I'd give was to the girl at the reception who remained professional. I brought my pup in for a digestive concern wanting to make sure she's all good. She was hiccuping and trying to vomit but couldn't. After prying out of the Dr. she was fine she said she would write my pup and I a "business plan". After she leaves we wait another 15 minutes to have the nurse(ish) bring in a $500 invoice with charges including xrays and anti-vomiting vaccines. When I asked for an explanation of the vaccines I was told it was for my dog to stop vomiting. Clearly no one listened to a word I said about her already nothing able to vomit. Very disappointed as I feel as if BluePearl veterinary is taking advantage of these passionate pet lovers in a time of stress and confusion! Read Less

They gave my dog fluids and us a small laundry list of medications and instructions. I came home from work last week and found my dog near death. There was bloody diarrhea all over the house. The dog was barely breathing. I yelled to my husband to google the nearest emergency veterinary hospital. By the time we arrived here I had done CPR on him. He barely had a pulse and no blood pressure. The staff and doctors immediately took him, triaged him and ultimately saved his life. I will forever be grateful.It is impossible to make rational decisions in this situation, and I had to trust that they were doing everything necessary. Nothing more and nothing less. He made it through the night. I visited him in the morning and he was alert and eating a little. I agreed he should spend the day for observation and some more bloodwork.After he was stabilized and it was clear he was going to be OK, I did get the sense that they were starting to offer more services, like suggesting he stay an extra night, do more bloodwork, etc. Again, its hard to question motive when its life and death. These people worked a miracle for my dog and I hope their motives are always clear and honest Read Less

HORRIBLE!!!! GO ELSEWHERE. Here is a list...avoid Emergency Animal Clinic. vetneuro.com/Resources/L… They ONLY want your money. They are completely desensitized. They gave my 5# chihuahua three times the IV medication he needed. He stayed the night and he was no better off when I picked him up. They charged me almost $1000 in the end for basically 4 drug injections (one drug they used 3 times the amount they were supposed according to the neurologist) and a one weeks prescription and a blood test. Also, I paid a ridiculous amount of emergency and critical care fees and they were not going to even give compressions if his heart stopped without charging me an addition $500 per their resuscitation addendum. They originally tried to get me to pay for a $1600 treatment plan. It's hard to sort what is really necessary in a state of distress. The last thing a person needs is to be swindled in their time of despair. They take advantage of people. IMMORAL!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! Read Less

Update to my post from earlier this evening. Id give them a 5 star negative rating if I could. Waste of money and time. Liars and completely insensitive. Customer service reps are rude and disrespectful. Our kitty started vomitting and acting out of sorts. After several hours of this we took him here because of course it was after hours on a weekend and we were worried it was some type of poisioning. Over $600 and several hours later we still do not know what's wrong. They want to keep him overnight, administer fluids and more xrays in the morning. Of course that's another $750. If the xrays tonight look good, other than some slight swelling in the small intestine which they contributed to gas why do you need to do more xrays in the morning?! Agreed to have them administer some fluids since he's dehydrated and some tummy medicine for another $150. Over $750 for no diagnosis. When we asked about his care the front office staff became very defensive and argumentative. We were told they administered fluids when he came in although we weren't told they did so, that we just surprised it. The lady started yelling and telling us that she didn't have time for us. If you are that overwhelmed hire more staff and replace your current staff with caring individuals. How sad that we had to go thru this. They take advantage of people in stressful/emotional times. They were less than compassionate, all they wanted was to upsell us. No one knew what was going on with him. No updates and when asked we were made to feel that we were a bother. I should have known better from past dealings with them. We spent $600 for a dog to get stitches and now almost a similar prices, for what. I'm not even sure they did what we were billed for. I knew he wasn't gonna make it but thought maybe I I take him here they will be nice enough to help him through the pain and put him down. The lady at the front desk was very rude and it made me sad to think "there are still nice people that won't just leave an animal to die on the side of the roadI wanted to wait and see if he had a chance and the lady m me sign a paper saying once I relinquish a stray they can not and will not give me anymore info. Like, I went out of my way to drive all the way over here and you can't even say thank you for helping the poor animal or tell me if he might live or not, Jesus and she said "well if you say he is yours then, we can give you more info" oh and to know how much they charge to put an animal down. I should have know better from a passed visit with my puppy I had to put down because of Parvovirus, all they cared about was money. Not how much I was crying or how sad my daughter was. They turned us down because we didn't have the money to put him down. They let him suffer. I brought a stray injured cat into this clinic tonight, at the instruction of the Humane society. My intent was to get him medical care for an open wound on his neck, and was told by the humane society that this clinic would do so, then the clini would arrange pickup by the humane society the next day. The girl at the check-in counter was downright nasty. She didnt seem to care a bit about the animal's welfare, and greeted me with the phrase "You need to call the humane society". When I told her that I had an hour before, she tried to insist that I take the animal there. So I called the humane society right at the checkin counter so she could hear them reiterate the instructions to care for the animals wound until the society could collect the cat in the morning. She proceeded to rant at me about how she wouldnt give me any information about the animal (fine with me, as I was just trying to help an injured stray), and more than implied that me coming in to drop off this poor little injured stray was a major inconvenience for her. I will NEVER take my own pets to this facility. I was simply a good Samaritan who battled rush hour to get medical attention for a kitty in need. This employee seemed so disconnected from the actual care of the animal. Read Less
