I'm writing this crying, holding a distraught puppy, and searching for a lawyer if that's an adequate opening to how horrible this place is. I was referred by a friend and went in without doing my own research. I called and spoke to a wonderful woman named Kim who was so sweet and nice, I was sold into thinking this place was wonderful. I should state I have a 1.5 year old dachshund/pit bull, who is 22 lbs and has severe anxiety. I informed Kim that he's not a biter but he is a big barker and pees when nervous. She said that they would give him something to sedate him, and they had a muzzle for him. So we roll up Friday, and it's a different receptionist(not Kim). My husband goes in while I sit in the car and he comes out to tell me the girl behind the desk is rude. He begins putting the muzzle on him, and I tell him to stop I have to get his sedative first. I go in, and this girl looks at me rolls her eyes, she's on the phone and put her finger up, telling me to wait. She hangs up and says what? I say I was told my dog could get a sedative because of how anxious he is. She looks at me and with a nasty tone says no! We don't offer any sedatives. I ask then why did Kim say there was. She replies with well we give them a sedative when they get in the back. I just stare at her, and say you might want to get with your other receptionist to get your stories straight. We bring my dog in and he's a wreck, everything I was trying to avoid. He's trying to get the muzzle off, he's dying, and everyone is staring at him, and the receptionist is again giving us dirty looks and rolling her eyes. I am panicking now and my husband is trying to remain calm. We go to weight him 22lbs. We get back into a small room where he is now panicking, crawling all over him, trying to get back into his arms. The vet tech is looking at him like he's aggressive? My husband says he is a rescue and is just scared but won't bite. She just tells us we need to socialize him more. At this point my poor dog just starts shedding and all his fur is falling out. I'm in tears and she takes him into the back. I asked if I could go back there to keep him call for everyone and so he wouldn't be scared getting his shots. I get a flat no. So we leave and I am a mess the rest of the day and just waiting to get called. 2:30 rolls around and it's Kim calling to tell me, what a wonderful dog he was, and I asked her repeatedly was his aggressive? Was he okay? She repeatedly tells me he was an angel, there were no problems, that he was in his kennel and wagging his tail with no muzzle on. I am crying, I am so relieved to hear this and I race down there to get my baby. I get there and she repeats how wonderful he was. She takes us to the back where he was, and there was blood on the floor. Like everywhere. Then I see him, she walks to his kennel and he is curled up in the back of the kennel, and doesn't make a sound, he looks terrified. He sees me and does a double take and she lets him out and I'm crying as he rushes out to see us, and begins peeing all over himself. He still hasn't made a sound. My husband is holding him in his arms and I see him eye, it looks a little red. I say the words: what's wrong with his eye? A really nice guy named nick tells me oh it's the lubricate we have to put in his eyes makes it watery. We take him home, and we realize there's something really really wrong. Our happy puppy is terrified, skittish, and hiding. My husband has to constantly hold him to calm him, and he is crying, just making these loud scared sounds. At this point, he's jumped off the bed multiple times so I know his stitches aren't hurting. He begins twisting his head a lot, that's when we see it. Blood pooling in his eye. My husband grabs him and checks his eyes and the dog goes into full panic and pees all over himself and is crying. We snap as many pictures as possible and send them to a friend who is a vet, and we get told that's a fucking hematoma. Google it, talk to a friend and they all come to the same story of that could only happen with some sort of trauma. The clinic is closed and I spend the entire night holding my dog, crying at the thought that someone hurt him. I call the clinic and his vet calls me. He starts off telling me he could reassure me that no one on his team hurt my dog and they would have been fired and turned into the police. He then tells me I understand your dog was anxious that morning, I say yes and are you aware why? & he follows it with yea I heard a bit from Kim, but I have a surgery to get to so I don't have a lot of time to get into it, but and Begins to tell me a very different story of how aggressive he was, how his blood pressure was through the roof, began vomiting, peeing, and pooping, all over self, and how he was "aggressive and fractious" and at some point had to be restraint. he said his hematoma was Read Less
