Took my dog in Friday bcz she was vomiting. Dr Hugo Santibanez took a xray and found a long sharp object in my dogs stomach. He stated that my dog needed surgery asap. I booked appt for 6/11/18 for her surgery. They FAILED to retake new xray today before surgery was preformed. Dr Santibanez clearly stated that NOTHING was found in the stomach and intestines. For being a veterinarian he did NOT perform a professional procedure! He didn't put my dogs safety & wellness before the money. This place is very unprofessional and I don't recommend this place to one. I trusted my dog's life in his hands but took advantage of our innocence with his greed. Dr Santibanez just cut her up for !!No!! damn reason. What Dr performs surgery w out xrays,scans,bloodwork & vitals of any kind?!?! Dr Santibanez did with no hesitation!! His unprofessionalisim was going by the same xray he took Friday before surgery. I hired an attorney and will be filing a malpractice suit against DR Hugo Santibanez!! Read Less

We got a puppy that had his ears cut already at this clinic. We took him back in to get the stitches removed. We brought him home and found they forgot some! We had a conversation with the vet about what would have happened if we didnt notice. He said the stitches would have cut his skin as he grew! And said I can't believe the other vet missed this! Well it's a week later and we noticed more stitches already cutting into him as his ears heal. I'm in sock. Read Less

I am very disappointed in them, worst costumer service ever! My dog is very ill, in case you're wondering how ill; my dog is throwing up blood! All they did was a check up and we were being mistreated without them knowing that it's our first puppy we have gotten and we went in for help not to get bossed around. They sent my dog home with absolutely nothing! No medication or something. NOTHING! All they made us do is pay for the check up and gave us is a bill for us to save his life. I seriously think all they care and want is money because I took that as it's either pay the bill or let him die. Do not take your pets here. My dog had to have his blood drawn and the Vet was digging around trying to find a vein!!!! My poor dog screamed in pain. Then he wanted to draw blood from his neck.. even his office manager came in and said no don’t do that. At that point I said no and left!!!! What kind of place is this!!!! NEVER GO HERE, THIS IS A BAD, BAD PLACE!! THEY MURDERED MY BEST FRIEND!!! The only reason there is a star is because it wouldn't let me write a review unless I touched the star. DO NOT BRING YOUR BELOVED PETS HERE!!!!! The vet put my beautiful Kirby through so much unessessary agony. He deserved so much better then this horrible treatment from someone supposed to care about animals!! He wouldn't let me stay with him during his treatment. They last couple days we had together were the worst days of our lives. He (santi) should have said he couldn't help him, instead he lied!! He abused my special angel who had never done a bad thing his whole life. Kirby had never been away from me. Where I would go, Kirby went!! I taught Kirby sign language. He understood and listened when told to do or not do something. Kirby was my best friend!! The so called vet and his staff MURDERED HIM!!!! They charged me over $2000.00 to abuse and humiliate him. These are bad people who should be treated like they treated my special boy. NEVER TAKE YOUR PET HERE!!!!!!!! NEVER!!!!! It doesn't matter if they will see you for free, or discount your fee or anything else they say. First time here and I like it. I was concern with the reviews but I decided to take my dog here anyway because they offer a free 1st exam to dogs adopted from the animal shelter. I thought that was nice helping animals in their new forever home and we did have a new adopted dog. I thought the staff was friendly and helpful. The Dr. Was awesome with our new pup. My Dog was a little nervous and the Dr. Was very patient and kind. I really liked the way he made sure my dog was comfortable talking to him and petting him through the exam. I want to warn you they will try to rob you! I have brought several pets here over the years for convenience ,BUT NO MORE! This time around my mother brought our little dog with one irritated eye. The Guy in the front literally threw the paper work, and told her to fill it without any explanation, and she asked him what it was and why , to which he responded he was too busy to explain, and walked off. My mother later heard the VET (the owner) scold him, and tell him to explain the paper work; which he did with an attitude. Later they administered only two eye drops in the dogs eye, and gave him a prescription for eye cream by the name of Vetrepolycin that they were charging $40.00 for. The Bill came up to $50.00 , and my mom asked why so much, to which they responded , Because its $16.00 extra dollars for the eye drops we administered here. My mother brought up the fact that it was only two eye drops not the whole bottle and how could they charge nearly $20.00 for two eye drops. My mother asked them for the name of the eye cream , and they did not want to give it to her, because she was frustrated , and did not want them draining more money out of her.They told her that were not going to give her the name, because "they don't do that", as the reason. I looked up that eye cream online, and it is $12.75 ,but in order for us to buy it they needed the Vet to fax in the prescription. I called the vet and the rudest Asian women you will ever meet was yelling on the phone " we don't do that!!" I said it is a simple request. I found another pharmacy that charges less , and I just need you to fax the script to which she responded " The FAX Machine is broken" Her unwillingness to help and the fact she was literally yelling lead to believe she was just saying the machine was broken , just to be difficult. It sickness me that they grossly overprice the medication to make a profit off poor people trying to pay to make their animals better. Luckily for our family we found a topical over the counter cream for the dogs eye and hes better. I do feel compelled to share my story to urge you guys to find another vet near by , and maybe they will start giving better service and stop charging ridiculously over the amount than other pharmacies charge for medication. Don't be put off by the location, it has NOTHING to do with the gentle service they give. I had an Australian Cattle Dog for 14 years and this was the place I brought her to until the day she naturally passed away in my arms. Now this is where I bring my Australian Shepherd rescue. I was recently there due to an ear infection she obtained in both of her ears. Her former vet (in Central Phoenix) couldn't figure out exactly what was causing it, so I decided to bring her here. Her ears no longer smell funny and she's stopped complaining. Definitely worth the drive! Read Less

They deserve ZERO stars. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE I made the mistake to go here. I wish I would have read some of the reviews before going. I was left perplexed at the unprofessional enviorment. The staff was very rude from the beginning and just got worse as the day went. We weren't allowed to go into my great Danes room until we paid the $90 fee.(coming before my appointment). The lady judged us saying we would not pay if we paid 50 and before pick up 50. While another lady said they usually did the 50 50 plan.They wanted to charge an outrageous (upfront) amount for something we were doing at home. We decided to leave and treat him for parvo at home where he is immensely loved. He is now back to normal barking,eating,and being his goofy self. Awesome doctor who is passionate and loves to help and offer discounts to less fortunate animals and families. He does have trained students there to help him however I'm ok with that because they have always been kind professional and soft with my dogs. His prices are great too. They charged me for shots for my puppy that weren't even administered and refused to refund me because it's a "credit" for next times visit. To hell there will be. And the dumb blonde kid that works there couldn't even clip my dogs nails which by the way was paid for, clipped my dogs nerve and he began bleeding everywhere! I told the stupid kid to just stop! The gay boy up front wasn't being clear on the prices. The vet was suggesting to have my dog spayed and neutered because that it would "help" with the severe allergies my dog has. WTF!???? Dog Owners Beware! If I could give this place zero stars I would. Absolutely no one should bring any pet to this place, it is beyond baffling how they are still in business. This is part rant, all story, so bare with me. I originally had brought in my 4 month old puppy because he was lethargic and simply not eating. Not only was the service staff horrible (This one lady, older probably mid 30s-40s is the real kicker here) the Mushmouth Vet doesn't really seem to care for the dogs, they just treat them like cattle coming through. Anyway, I brought in my dog, dealt with the awful service, dropped around 100 bucks for a check up and flu medicine. Figures right? They told me to come back in two days if he doesn't get better, and they'll check him out for free. Well, he didn't. We went back with my dog in critical condition, and once again I was handled very poorly and the first thing they tried getting out of me was more money. So, after having to fight that I got my second check up for free, I waited a good hour before the doctor showed up. He did a simple diagnosis and took off for about 30 minutes again. Then comes in this lady (same one I told you about earlier) saying she didn't know they had patients waiting. Apparently, they were doing a video shoot for the place and she asked if I could leave and come back at 4 (I have work at two, it's already 12:30). I'm dumbfounded! I couldn't believe it, I had to explain to her I was already waiting for the Vet. The man finally decides to come back after I fight to not get kicked out. Now, here's where the fun really happens. The check up was free and they'd tell me they'd let me know if they would charge for whatever. The Vet runs a Parvo test on him, neglects to tell me the test alone is 40 dollars! After this same guy made a false diagnosis 2 days prior on this same dog! Confirms my original suspicions since Sunday that it is indeed Parvo and the staff tried strong arming me into paying after I told them I didn't have my wallet on me, after I already paid for flu medicine that wasn't going to do jack! Horrible service, just as horrible staff. Please, if you care about your pets at all, go anywhere but here. Thank you for reading.Read Less

The doctor allways had been looking into my eyes i dont knoe what some stupid bitches bitch about what you all the time eant the freaking dr to see your freaking ugly face hahaha. This place almost killed our family dog. They gave him an antibiotic shot without telling us the side effects of it. For the following week he didn't eat and couldn't hold water down. On the last day before we were going to say our final goodbyes he finally held water down. Then slowly he became hungry again. We stayed in constant contact with the clinic and every day we called them they told us they didn't know why he refused food, and why he refused water, just keep shoving pills down his throat. It just didn't make sense to them. Upon googling the side effects of the shot he was given we found out that the medicine has some terrible side effects. Loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea,lethargy, convulsions, and seizures. We never got the run down on what the shot was for. Just a price and that he needed it to live. This shot and their lack of knowledge almost made us say good bye to a very special member of our family that we have had for 10 years, and all it seemed like they cared about was taking our money. Certainly not the best place to get your dog treated, the time constraint didn't help either to get my dog healed. There are various gripes I have with the place with a VERY LONG WAITING TIME! They do not respect appointment times, you are waiting about 30 - 60 minutes in the waiting room and than about another 45 minutes once you are placed in a room. In addition, the clinic does not look very clean and saw various suspicious stains in every room placed. This place would be better for Spanish speakers since the vet was difficult to understand even in Spanish due to his very soft voice. Another thing that didn't sit well with me was the inconsistency they had to follow the order customers came in. Both checking in and checking out, they would call others first without following the order, as well as when picking my pet from surgery. This place was there for my dogs when money was tight and I really needed a low cost vet. My dog was seen here twice for vaccines and once for a check up. The first time I went the vet seemed scared of my chihuahua. He made my dog more nervous because of his behavior. The second time I went to this office the vet tech had a tick crawling up his neck.The place could work on its cleanliness, but I am thankful the place exists because as I said, they were there when I needed them. Worst place to take a pet. We took our dog to get spayed but the day after she came home her wound opened and we had to take her to the ER. They said the incision was too large and she would require extensive surgery to disinfect. Needless to say it was very expensive. We took our Chihuahua for Anal gland Abscess. Veterinarian suggested for a surgery worth $400. Our visit with a shot cost us $55. Not sure what the shot is for, if the only option is surgery.Next I come home to find online that surgery is the most barbaric thing to do with the dogs and is not suggested. I'm going to take that $55 loss and go see some other doctor.Not to mention, this place is in ghetto, looks and smells like it. Veterinarian couldn't speak good English. Santis Pet Clinic was the worst veterinarian's office I have EVER been to. The environment was hostile and unprofessional. The manager was making jokes about killing and degrading a specific employee in front of the customers, myself included! When I brought to her attention that I was uncomfortable and I should not have to witness this hostile behavior; she informed me it was none of my business and I should shut my mouth. I then told her I work as an administrative assistant for a CEO and could never imagine him talking to me that way or a paying customer. At this point she got irate and began bad mouthing me. My fiancé informed her and the veterinarian (owner) that we were paying customers that did not come here to be insulted. She then got hostile with my fiancé completely ignoring the veterinarian's (owner) request to stop. I am shocked and appalled at the customer service provided and the horrible things that came out of her mouth! I was refered to Dr Santis by a Friend when I was frantic that my old vet quoted me $720.00 for surgery to remove a tumor from my 12 year old Lhasa Apsos. They advised me because of her age they had to take extra precautions and she would need extra blood work, all of which costs more money. Dr Santis was the best. He was friendly, knowledgable, and very loving to my dog. He made me feel at ease and explained the entire procedure to me. She came through the surgery just fine... they even called me the next day to check on her. and did her follow up vist for free! The best part... only cost me $ 80.00. How's that for value?
