My 11 year old Boston Terrier Catson passed away on Monday August 12. Dr. Agnew was great with her and stayed with her when I could not. It has been very hard on me, but I know that Dr. Agnew did all she could for her. The staff is excellent and I thank them for all they did for Catson.

The Doctors and Staff at SPAH are absolutely Fantastic! We love them. The staff are incredibly friendly and obviously love pets. We get everything from check ups to teeth cleaning done with Squaw Peak Animal Hospital. If you want the best for your family, this place is it!

Dr Agnew was absolutely amazing! She took the time to return my calls and talk to me about my concerns. I had a female dog due for a c section and this was a first time experience. She let me participate in watching the whole thing and even included me on reviving the puppies. It was a very neat experience and I appreciate all she did to help calm my nerves. It was a scary, yet exciting and Dr. Agnew took the fear out of the situation and made it a whole lot more enjoyable. Mom is doing wonderful and her pups are 6 days old today and going strong! Thank you again Dr. Agnew!

The staff was super friendly, and the facility was clean. I was in and out within an hour, and my puppy was given a clean bill of health. My only real complaint would have to be the price. It was already $57 to just have the vet look at the pup. She also drew some fluid from a bump he had, and ran it to a microscope to examine. The whole process was over in less than 5 minutes, but warranted another $50 fee. Even then, the diagnosis was shaky and more or less the same as what she had guessed before "testing" the bump. And regardless of the outcome, she said there was nothing she would do and that I should come back if it grew larger some time later in his life.In the end, I was charged $100 for an educated guess and 3 minutes of having the veterinarian pet my dog.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Agnew. She was so calming and kind from the moment we met her. My cat is old (12 years) and skinny (~7 lb) and she hasn't been to the vet in years so we were relatively nervous. Dr. Agnew was excellent at giving advice where we needed it and recommending the appropriate labs to ensure a healthy cat. We are so pleased with this place and we will be customers for many years to come.

I can't say enough good things about this vet clinic! Dr. Agnew is amazing! She is equally concerned about the pets that she cares for and the pet's parents. My dog needed to be neutered recently, and while I could have had it done elsewhere and saved about $100 (or more), I did not, and I am happy that I made that decision. The surgery went well, and in spite of himself, my dog is doing well, no doubt, due to the extra time that Dr. Agnew and the staff took to listen to and understand his special needs. This is the vet that you want on your speed dial if your pet is family.

I won't take my pets anywhere else. After many years with another vet who was "good", I was referred to Squaw Peak by a breeder from Texas wanted to use my dog as a stud. Squaw Peak Animal Hospital's reputation clearly has a long reach... Anyway, about a year later, I have transferred care of all my pets to Squaw Peak, and won't go anywhere else. We have a difficult case with one of our dogs, and we recently came upon a solution in collaboration with Dr. Agnew and staff. Some of the staff can seem kind of aloof - don't let that fool you - they are listening and evaluating to find a solution. I trust them implicitly! If you love your pet, this is the vet for you.

While dog sitting for a dog with a broken leg, I visited Squaw Peak Animal hospital twice. Both times, I was given lower quality service than the other patrons. I'm not entirely sure if this was based on classism or homophobia, but I really didn't care for the older woman with longer dirty blonde hair, who seemed aggravated by my existence, let alone the services i required for the dog. I did not appreciate being ignored, and after getting the employees attention, getting spoken to like I'm an idiot. It was a very negative experience.
Edit: I spoke with Vanessa about the situation and she was so incredibly nice and helpful. I appreciated her openness and honesty, and how she handled the situation. Vanessa's customer service was on point!

We started going here after the vets at Alta Vista matter-of-factly suggested that we should put our kitten down without suggesting other options. Turned out she just needed some medication and a little time and now she is a perfectly happy four-year-old cat. This past Saturday our 14-year-old male cat started acting strange, throwing up, meowing in pain, and trying to hide. He's already in Stage 2 Kidney Disease so we feared this could be the end. I called Squaw Peak Animal Hospital and even though they had no appointments available, they said if we got there right away, they would get a doctor to see us. We hurried over, and when we got there they put us in a room and within a few minutes the veterinarian was in to see us. Luckily, he immediately determined that the issues were not related to the kidney disease but instead a gastrointestinal issue of some sort. They gave our cat a shot to ease the stomach issue and rehydrate him, cleaned him up, and let us take him home. A day later, after sleeping and regaining his strength, my cat seems to be getting back to normal.If you're looking for a veterinary office that understands and values the relationship you have with your pet, Squaw Peak is the way to go. They've treated us great every time we've come in and will even make the effort to get you in when its an emergency.Highly recommended!

I've been taking my cats here for 16 years. The vet we see now is Emily Clinton and she's fantastic with cats. She has a calm, sweet demeanor that puts them at ease. She's well educated and provides great care, including when it's time to refer to a specialist. She diagnosed FIP in my cat and immediately got me in to see an internist. Unfortunately that disease is always fatal, but she helped me find answers. Very nice and helpful staff. The only downside to the clinic is parking due to busy shopping center.

We have always had a positive experience here, even in tough times. Dr. Clinton and staff are always very compassionate and caring. We had to bring one of our dogs in on short notice for euthanasia and even though it was obviously a very tough day for us, Squaw Peak Animal Hospital took notice of that and were very gentle with the whole process. We were roomed right away and the process was explained to us by Dr. Clinton. She was also very attentive to our emotional needs with losing our loved one. It ended up being an extremely peaceful process and I am thankful that we were afforded this option.
They also are the current providers for my sister's dog that is afflicted with Valley Fever. We are able to make appointments for him to get in quickly and they are always very attentive.
All options are always explained thoroughly and we do not ever feel rushed. I would recommend anyone with a furry family member to bring their animals here.

The front office nazi, "Cindy" just hung up on me for asking a question - these people only want your money, they do not care about your pets. Instead of asking for more information about what my in-laws dog's symptoms were, she chose to lie about the vet being gone after making me wait on hold for 10 minutes. I wasn't rude, I didn't call her names or cuss - she hung up on me because I was being assertive and asking questions. HORID GOD AWFUL experience! Don't go here EVER!!!!!!

I've been coming here since 1997. It was then that I decided this was the right place for my animals. Dr. Weaver was gentle with my dogs, open to treating naturally and even offered suggestions for natural items that might prove beneficial in healing of wounds. Since Dr. Weavers retirement I've continued coming to this practice and have been able to work closely with Dr. M. Ferrera, Dr. E. Clinton, an Dr. Agnew to care for my beastlies I WISH they would get equipment necessary to run same day progesterone and how about some U/S equip while I'm wishing.I WISH I didn't have to battle with Starbucks for parking. They monopolize the parking lot. GRRR.But in closing, Cindy is the greatest, but don't call and ask for her. LOL!! Seriously, the staff ROCKS.

It was already $57 to just have the vet look at the pup. She also drew some fluid from a bump he had, and ran it to a microscope to examine. The whole process was over in less than 5 minutes, but warranted another $50 fee. Even then, the diagnosis was shaky and more or less the same as what she had guessed before "testing" the bump. And regardless of the outcome, she said there was nothing she would do and that I should come back if it grew larger some time later in his life.In the end, I was charged $100 for an educated guess and 3 minutes of having the veterinarian pet my dog.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Agnew. She was so calming and kind from the moment we met her. My cat is old (12 years) and skinny (~7 lb) and she hasn't been to the vet in years so we were relatively nervous. Dr. Agnew was excellent at giving advice where we needed it and recommending the appropriate labs to ensure a healthy cat. We are so pleased with this place and we will be customers for many years to come.

I can't say enough good things about this vet clinic! Dr. Agnew is amazing! She is equally concerned about the pets that she cares for and the pet's parents. My dog needed to be neutered recently, and while I could have had it done elsewhere and saved about $100 (or more), I did not, and I am happy that I made that decision. The surgery went well, and in spite of himself, my dog is doing well, no doubt, due to the extra time that Dr. Agnew and the staff took to listen to and understand his special needs. This is the vet that you want on your speed dial if your pet is family.

I won't take my pets anywhere else. After many years with another vet who was "good", I was referred to Squaw Peak by a breeder from Texas wanted to use my dog as a stud. Squaw Peak Animal Hospital's reputation clearly has a long reach... Anyway, about a year later, I have transferred care of all my pets to Squaw Peak, and won't go anywhere else. We have a difficult case with one of our dogs, and we recently came upon a solution in collaboration with Dr. Agnew and staff. Some of the staff can seem kind of aloof - don't let that fool you - they are listening and evaluating to find a solution. I trust them implicitly! If you love your pet, this is the vet for you.

While dog sitting for a dog with a broken leg, I visited Squaw Peak Animal hospital twice. Both times, I was given lower quality service than the other patrons. I'm not entirely sure if this was based on classism or homophobia, but I really didn't care for the older woman with longer dirty blonde hair, who seemed aggravated by my existence, let alone the services i required for the dog. I did not appreciate being ignored, and after getting the employees attention, getting spoken to like I'm an idiot. It was a very negative experience.
Edit: I spoke with Vanessa about the situation and she was so incredibly nice and helpful. I appreciated her openness and honesty, and how she handled the situation. Vanessa's customer service was on point!

We started going here after the vets at Alta Vista matter-of-factly suggested that we should put our kitten down without suggesting other options. Turned out she just needed some medication and a little time and now she is a perfectly happy four-year-old cat. This past Saturday our 14-year-old male cat started acting strange, throwing up, meowing in pain, and trying to hide. He's already in Stage 2 Kidney Disease so we feared this could be the end. I called Squaw Peak Animal Hospital and even though they had no appointments available, they said if we got there right away, they would get a doctor to see us. We hurried over, and when we got there they put us in a room and within a few minutes the veterinarian was in to see us. Luckily, he immediately determined that the issues were not related to the kidney disease but instead a gastrointestinal issue of some sort. They gave our cat a shot to ease the stomach issue and rehydrate him, cleaned him up, and let us take him home. A day later, after sleeping and regaining his strength, my cat seems to be getting back to normal.If you're looking for a veterinary office that understands and values the relationship you have with your pet, Squaw Peak is the way to go. They've treated us great every time we've come in and will even make the effort to get you in when its an emergency.Highly recommended!

I've been taking my cats here for 16 years. The vet we see now is Emily Clinton and she's fantastic with cats. She has a calm, sweet demeanor that puts them at ease. She's well educated and provides great care, including when it's time to refer to a specialist. She diagnosed FIP in my cat and immediately got me in to see an internist. Unfortunately that disease is always fatal, but she helped me find answers. Very nice and helpful staff. The only downside to the clinic is parking due to busy shopping center.

We have always had a positive experience here, even in tough times. Dr. Clinton and staff are always very compassionate and caring. We had to bring one of our dogs in on short notice for euthanasia and even though it was obviously a very tough day for us, Squaw Peak Animal Hospital took notice of that and were very gentle with the whole process. We were roomed right away and the process was explained to us by Dr. Clinton. She was also very attentive to our emotional needs with losing our loved one. It ended up being an extremely peaceful process and I am thankful that we were afforded this option.
They also are the current providers for my sister's dog that is afflicted with Valley Fever. We are able to make appointments for him to get in quickly and they are always very attentive.
All options are always explained thoroughly and we do not ever feel rushed. I would recommend anyone with a furry family member to bring their animals here.

Instead of asking for more information about what my in-laws dog's symptoms were, she chose to lie about the vet being gone after making me wait on hold for 10 minutes. I wasn't rude, I didn't call her names or cuss - she hung up on me because I was being assertive and asking questions. HORID GOD AWFUL experience! Don't go here EVER!!!!!!

I've been coming here since 1997. It was then that I decided this was the right place for my animals. Dr. Weaver was gentle with my dogs, open to treating naturally and even offered suggestions for natural items that might prove beneficial in healing of wounds. Since Dr. Weavers retirement I've continued coming to this practice and have been able to work closely with Dr. M. Ferrera, Dr. E. Clinton, an Dr. Agnew to care for my beastlies I WISH they would get equipment necessary to run same day progesterone and how about some U/S equip while I'm wishing.I WISH I didn't have to battle with Starbucks for parking. They monopolize the parking lot. GRRR.But in closing, Cindy is the greatest, but don't call and ask for her. LOL!! Seriously, the staff ROCKS.
