The staff were amazing when my pup needed an urgent procedure. Their extended hours are so helpful. The vet, vet tech, and office staff stayed well past closing to perform a procedure on my girl. We moved from CA to AZ recently. We took our cat Shelly because she had a gum infection and needed some teeth to be extracted.WE had an appointment but we waited almost 45 min they had an emergency prior. The bill was high, they gave us very expensive medications although we did explain that she really hates medication and it impossible to give her any.We needed to bring her back for the surgery and we decided not to do it with this hopital, their cost was very expensive and I did not feel that this is a good place for my cat. We were lucky enough to take her to another place and got it 20% cheaper. and did not needed to give her any medication. She is doing very well. Read Less

Don't take ur pet here.  They don't know what they r doing.  They declawed my cat 5 1/2 years ago but they didn't get all of 1 claw.  I saw a bone poking through last year when he was 5yrs old.  They didn't say it was a claw.  They said it was from my other cat scratching him & exposed a bone.  They charged me an outrageous amount 2 suture it up.  Dr. Snyder couldn't even take him out of his cage.  I live 30 minutes away.  So, I had 2 stay there for over 4 hrs for 2 days, so that I could get him out of there cage or his kennel. Mind u,  this cat has NEVER bit anyone.  Do u think they discounted anything for my 2days spent there. No!  I switched all my pets over 2 a new vet.  They have NEVER asked me 2 stay & take Mr. Peanut out of his cage.  They just grab him by the scruff.  Even the vet assistant can do that on there own.   Peanut is right now in surgery getting the rest of that claw out cuz it broke through again. He is 6 years old.  These ladies can't even grab a non biting,  declawed cat out of a cage. Obviously, they don't know how 2 declaw @ cat either.  What they do know how 2 do is run a bunch of $$ tests & take ur hard earned money.  Go ANYWHERE but here!! Read Less

I've had a bad experience before at a different vet office with a different pet so I was careful to choose and research where to go. I'm glad I chose Tatum Point. I drove a few miles to get there to say the least. I'm in the west valley. The drive is not critical for me as long as it's the right office and Dr. The office was clean and the staff was friendly. Dr Venable did a great job of explaining what Phoebe needed and why. I'm confident my fur-baby will be in good hands with Dr Venable when it's time to get her dental cleaning. Read Less

Tatum Point Animal Hospital is a caring, compassionate place to bring your loved pet. I lost a cat to a disease that was fatal and my cat had to be put down. The staff at Tatum Point were very caring and compassionate and let me take as long as I needed to be with my dying cat without any pressure. I could have taken hours and they would have allowed it. As far as care is concerned, I feel like my Cavapoo Maui receives good care and attention here.  Dr. Venable seems really knowledgable, but the office's time management is horrible.  My last appointment was the worst.  We waited in the back room for over 40 minutes and saw the doctor for 10 minutes.  What should've been a 20 minute tops appointment, ended up taking over an hour.  He received his Rabies shot and we left.  I'm not sure why Dr. Venable is always running behind, but it's frustrating to waste time there, in a small room with random pet hair everywhere, and an anxious puppy.Dr. Venable is nice enough and seems knowledgable.  She didn't oppose to the medicine I wanted my dog to take either, which was nice.  But the dose she gave ended up being too low and she had to give me an extension at a higher dose.  That fixed it and he was cured after the extension.Like I said, the office and doctor are friendly and they follow up after appointments to make sure your animal is doing ok, but the extra long appointments are frustrating.  Thankfully he's all caught up on his shots for a while and we won't have to go back anytime soon. My dog is 12 years old and never been to the vet before so I knew going into it he would be grump. He growled and tried to bite during the examination but the Vet Tech and Vet handled it extremely well and very professionally. The staff was very nice and very friendly. The best in the vet business. We have been coming here for about 8 years. Their staff are wonderful - they always remember us and truly care about their clients (2-legged and 4-legged). They stayed open late for us once when our dog was attacked by another dog. They always work with our schedules and try to get us in as quickly as possible. I also get our dogs meds here as well - Hartguard and Glucosamine. The office is extremely clean and welcoming. They have coffee and snacks for you while you're waiting for your appointment. Dr. Roice has been wonderful with our cats! She is genuinely interested in their health and well-being and remembers their personalities every time we visit. She has always been caring and compassionate with our girls and truly has bonded with them and us. Dr. Roice is always great about personally calling to check on them after a procedure, whether it be a routine dental or something more complex. We've also dealt with other vets at the practice (when dr. was on leave) who have exhibited the same high quality of care. Kaitlyn at the front desk is amazing as well! I absolutely trust her advice and am very comfortable and pleased with the care she has given our pets. She always thoroughly explains the treatment options--short-term and long-term. Our cats have had a multitude of health issues over the years and Dr. Roice has always been very kind, caring and genuinely interested in the well-being our pets. Terrible staff. Been there the last two times and they have been completely rude!! Our dog was in terrible pain with a tumor that was about to erupte and we had to wait over 30 mins if not even longer. It was not busy at all so they could of helped us right away. ALSO first experience before this the vet told us there was nothing we could do about the tumor because our dog was too old. Went to the vet on deer valley and they were appalled they would say such a thing because they were able to give us great options to help our dog get taken care of. We've been taking our pets to Tatum Point for 9 years now. We have had several veterinarians through the years with some better than others. In fact, I wasn't a fan of the previous doctor. However, the current doctor, Dr. Roice, is truly amazing.  We had an emergency with our cat late in the day and were told to bring her in right away. Dr. Roice ended up staying with us for several hours as we went through various tests trying to determine next steps.  Several times we were directed to the less expensive options so we could minimize the costs while we worked to determine the problem.Unfortunately, there wasn't anything that could be done for our cat and she had to be euthanized. Throughout the entire ordeal I felt that Dr. Roice truly empathized with us and did absolutely everything she could to ease our cat's pain as well as ours.I'm so grateful for how she handled a devastating situation for our family.
