My animals are my kids. I am very pleased with the professionalism and knowledge of everyone in this office. I find that Dr. Susan reaches out to other vets for the knowledge to help her and I understand what's happening with my dog. My dog is very old and has been sick for sometime. I found the sincerity is real. Having your pet leave this world is not a happy experience for the pet owner or for the staff. I am not a vet. Went to this vet for the first time yesterday. Dr. Goshert made an already miserable experience even worse. No one wants to have to deal with a confrontation when they're worried about a beloved pet but if you challenge her superiority that is exactly what you get. I've had several good experiences here. They always want to take my pet to the back to do whatever they need, but they quickly relinquish when I tell then that I want to be with her the whole time. I've been to offices that won't allow that. Not a good experience.Read Less

Do not bring a shelter pet here for the free evaluation! We recently adopted a puppy from the shelter and brought her here for an examination. The only thing that they found was her teeth are pretty bad but didn't know what was wrong with them so they referee me to a canin dental specialist. I told her their was something wrong with her eye and with her back legs but she told me she was fine. Then we brought her in our regular vet and he found that she has a cataract in her left eye, her knees are so swollen and her teeth are from an infection from when she was younger. This place is amazing. We moved to North Phoenix around six months ago and our regular Vet was just too far to drive anymore. We decided to try out Union Hills Animal Hospital on a bit of a whim because of its location close to our house. I couldn't be happier with our decision. Dr. Goshert is a great Vet. She is incredibly thorough during the exams and actually takes the time to answer all your questions. She truly cares about animals and it shows. The office staff is also great; everyone there is friendly and professional. Any time our dogs have had major care required all the options and costs have been explained in full detail which I appreciate. I also really like the regular reminders that we receive when our dogs were due for their shots. I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a great Vet in the North Valley. Read Less

This place is incredible. I inherited a cat a few years back who is a fighter and has needed abscesses serviced from time to time. Dr. Goshert is pretty amazing and has a huge natural talent for her work. My cat seems to think he is going to see old friends and purrs so loud they have to time his heart rate because they can't listen to it. I have also been there on two occasions where people were experiencing the loss of a dog. The staff was incredibly kind and caring, showing true compassion and handled matters the best they possibly could have been. I am not sure how they do it though, tough situations. Now in a suite that allows safer, easier access from the back of the complex. Highly recommended. Fair, honest and caring, the whole place.Read Less

The best veterinarian hospital in AZ hands down. We have been taking our pets here for over 15 years and love the care they receive from Dr. Goshert and staff. It is my prayer that everyone who adores their pets like we do has a vet like doctor Goshert. If you can come here I can not recommend her highly enough. Time and again her compassion and knowledge have been a blessing to my fury kids. This last time she was so sweet and understanding when I brought out hamster, yes a hamster, in to be seen because he got stuck between the wall and a frame on the floor. Poor little guy couldn't use his back legs, both eyes had an infection and he had a cut on his nose:( doctor Goshert fixed him right up!!! I am the mom that other parents come to when they need a referral or want to know how a teacher does with the kids. I'm that mom. I'm the picky, choosy mom. I felt as though the staff truly cared about me and my pet. They never once rushed me or pressured me, and were even able help to calm me down and feel more at ease. Union HIlls Animal Hospital ROCKS! If you have an animal that you care about, Dr Goshert is incredible. I took my Congo African Grey, Bogey, in as he was having problems. Bogey is a rescue that is around 18 yrs old and never hand tamed. Dr Goshert was so gentle and loving with him that he wasn't panicked, even at the 2nd visit. I've been going there for longer than 15 years...as new dog owners we wanted to make sure we did everything right and were kind of overwhelmed.  Dr. Goshert has always  been very calm, matter-of-fact and reassuring.  I love the reminder cards when we have to get a booster or something addressed to our pets!  Our two dogs and lovebird get great care, and we always get all the options...nothing is ever "do this or else..." which means this isn't a place all about the money.  I'd recommend it heartily!
