He's been taking care of my dog for over 10 years, through some pretty rough medical issues, and he's committed to her health and happiness. The staff is absolutely outstanding starting from a simple call to the reception to Alexa or Mollie, always helpful beyond what expected (I hope I spelled your names right!). Dirty office and unprofessional. Dr. Newlsnd is not thouroygh when examining the dog, did he completely missed that my poor dog had an ear infection and because of that he didn't charge me for my appointment. I took my records and went to Scottsdale Vet on Thomas where it's sanitary and they have good doctors. Unfortunately my mother made an emergency appointment for my dog at Adobe and I went in (wasn't happy about) he was pissed at me because I called him out on not checking my dogs ears and would not provide me with medication TO TREAT MY DOG. You call yourself a vet? More like a pathetic man with a dirty office and a very poor attitude! Sorry that you're not great at your job but you don't have to take it out on the animals.it's OK though because I prefer a clean and sanitary office and someone who can properly diagnose my dog. Dr. Newland and team are tremendous! I have brought 2 pets here already, and both were appointments as new patients with a need to be seen same day. The staff got me right in with short notice, Dr. Newland helped me not worry about them, and gave me so much great advice that other vets have not in the past. I can tell they truly care about my pets and the experience they go through in the office. Every aspect of the care that Adobe Animal Hospital provides is amazing. We took our lab mix in to see Dr. Davis regarding a growth that she had developed on one of her hind legs. Dr. Davis ultimately performed surgery to remove the growth and spoke with a veterinary oncologist to obtain additional information after testing revealed that it was a rare type of cancer. He was incredibly competent and caring, and went out of his way to keep us in the loop regarding all aspects of the procedure. (The surgery was successful and the growth has not reappeared.) The reception staff and vet techs are friendly and extremely helpful. Adobe has a small practice feel, due to the personalized care and attention our pets have received, yet we've never had a problem making same- or next-day appointments. Dr. Davis is the best!!! He really helped out my little docker pup when we thought he was sick. He fit us in quick and timely. He took so much time with us trying to find different test. He described treatment options and discussed all the pricing right from the beginning. So the bill wasn't scary at the end! What a nice relief. Dr. Davis is like "House." Awesome vet who genuinely cares about his furry patients and spends time explaining possible treatment plans, including the pros and cons of each. We moved to Adobe after having a bad experience with our previous vet, how missed diagnosing a mass cell tumor. Recently, we were concerned that there was something going on with her front right paw. As it turns out, she has seasonal allergies and treatment with Aloquel and antihistamines did the trick. Dr Davis is amazing! He has been my Vet for 10 years. He is always about what is best for the dog. The rest of the staff is AMAZING. My Aussie was abused before I got him, and was very anxious about new people, the tech would get on the floor and give him treats to make him comfortable before we ever started the exam. I am very happy to have found Adobe and Dr. Davis. I found this practice a few years ago. The year before a different veterinarian had given my dachshund too many shots at once and he had a severe vaccine reaction. I was very concerned after that experience and was immediately impressed by Dr. Davis including his knowledge of the breed and his plan to avoid this happening again. My Australian Cattle Dog has suffered with skin problems her whole life (she's 9) & I feel so fortunate that we *finally* found Dr Newland. We have been to so many different veterinarians over the years, and finally I found one that actually cares. I have been so pleased with Dr. Newland and co.  We take 2 cats and a dog here and the staff are always so kind and gentle with each of them.  They explain everything thoroughly so I always feel like I know exactly what's happening and how much it will cost.  When my cat's heart condition was discovered, it seemed that they were personally invested in the situation like family.  It's been very comforting to have my animals in their care.  I also think that their prices are reasonable and they've always been understanding of my financial situation to make sure that I'm not paying for anything unnecessary. On March 7th, 2016, at 08:08 a.m., we entered the doors of the Adobe Animal Hospital, hoping to relieve our cat's suffering, after all they had treated our family cats for nearly 18 years. That is until this morning. Let me explain: after trying to reach their after-hours answering service throughout the past weekend, we had no choice but to show up at the opening of the clinic. Our cat was severely suffering and we decided to put him down - he was 17 1/2 years old. I was repeatedly reassured by the answering service that Adobe Animal Hospital would get him in and help us ease his pain. However, when we arrived and then inquired about having him put down, a very loud, boisterous front desk clerk told us how busy the vet was. We were summarily told to go and Google another veterinarian. When pushed to see if they could squeeze us in, the woman offered to refer us to another hospital....after 17 years of our faithful customer relationship, we were told to take our cat to a completely unknown vet and have them put our cat down?! We would then have to further stress our cat by driving to an unfamiliar place just so that we could put him to sleep?! What kind of customer service is this? The callus nature did not stop there, for while we waited they admitted two walk-ins ahead of us, AFTER we were told that no more walk-ins could be accepted. I sincerely hope that the Dachshund with a cold did not suffer as painfully as our dying cat. Bottom line? One star rating is too generous. This hospital is unprofessional, the staff were discourteous and the doctors showed little regard for the well-being of a cat that had been a patient of that facility for more than 17 years. I cannot recommend this facility, its ill-mannered staff or their total lack of customer relations. People lose their job for much less than the disrespectful handling of our cat's medical emergency - I sincerely hope that the Dachshund with a cold that they allowed to walk-in, did not suffer as painfully as our dying cat, Moe. My husband and I are very grateful for the doctors and staff at Adobe Animal Hospital. They have treated our two cats Emma and Sunny and our dog Roca for the last 10 years. They are always quick to diagnose problems and suggest solutions and they genuinely care about our pets. Sadly, both our cats have passed away in the space of 3 months, after living long lives. This review is long overdue! I have known Dr. Newland and his staff for over 15 years.  He was the vet for my sister's dogs  years ago, and I had accompanied her many times to Adobe.  When  dogs joined our family, there was no question about who would take care of our pets. Dr.Newland is our regular doctor, but we have seen Dr. Davis numerous times and we are just as happy with him. They both are very knowledgeable and will spend the time necessary to explain treatment and care.   They follow up in phone calls, even after hours and on weekends. They spend so much time with me and my pets, I always leave feeling like my dogs are number one on their list. However after reading the reviews, it is apparent Adobe has a way of making everyone feel that way.  Their staff is excellent,  and everyone is very compassionate and passionate about their jobs.  We recently lost our 13 year old Golden Retriever Kodie, in February 2015.  It happened so quickly, in just over a week. Dr. Newland was so thorough in his workup and care.  She was diagnosed with an aggressive lymphoma, and at 13 I knew treatment was not going to be the answer.  When the time came to make that heart wrenching decision to let Kodster go, Dr. Newland and his staff were there for us, and made a difficult situation easier.    I had never gone through this before, but I didn't have to do anything. Adobe was there every step of the way. They cried along with us, and I know in her final moments, Kodie felt so much love in that room.  I cannot thank them enough for making that difficult time more bearable. We are so blessed to have Adobe Animal Hospital to care for our pets.  I now live in Ahwatukee, and will never change my care.  The 65 mile round trip drive is worth it! My sister, who now lives in Philadelphia, has switched vets numerous times, looking for that place as special as Adobe Animal Hospital.  She will be looking for a long time! Read Less

Just absolutely amazing.  That is all I can say about these guys.  We primarily see Dr. Davis, but also saw Dr. Newland on an emergency today.  He was just as awesome.  They show their care and compassion with a side of dedication.  Dr. Davis goes out of his way to keep us updated on our pets, even calling from his vacation to see how they are and update us.  He speaks in a clear concise manner and takes time to thoroughly answer all of our (many) questions since we are over obsessed pup parents.  We have never felt rushed in their office.  In addition, their fees are fair and upfront.The staff here has also been amazing.  It is clear that they have handpicked the very best from the industry.  I highly recommend this office. If i could give them 10 stars I would.  Not only is Dr. Davis a fantastic vet, but the entire staff is amazing.  Sometimes we will just stop by the office with our dog to just say hi.  Our pup is always so excited to go inside and see everybody.  We've never felt rushed, everybody always spends lots of time with us answering any questions that we have and showering the dog with plenty of love and affection. They worked with us when our pup gave us quite the health scare, and even with all the poking and prodding she still loves everybody there.Adobe's love and care for their clients is evident from the second you walk in the door.  There isn't a better place to take your pets in the valley and no matter how far away you are, they are worth the drive. Dr. Davis and all the staff at Adobe are the absolute best I have ever had to take care of my dogs.  All the staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating. My dogs LOVE coming here and jump from the truck  racing to the front door to see everyone. They are always greeted warmly. Dr. Davis always spends a good amount of time with my dogs - usually sitting on the floor with them in his lap...and they are big dogs!  They love him and his care for them is apparent. I went to Fresh and Easy to purchase my favorite hummus, and rescued a 3 month old puppy instead.  I knew I needed to get her to a good veterinarian close to my  home, and looked at Yelp for reviews.  I trusted the reviews here, and I can honestly say they didn't fail me.  My new pup was examined by Dr. Matthew Davis. He is thorough, highly skilled, kind and offered me great puppy advice to keep her healthy and happy.  When she developed a cough a few days after the exam, he saw her on the same day as my frantic call and prescribed antibiotics that cured her. He also followed up with a phone call.   I believe their fees are reasonable, they are on time, and the staff is very well trained, and caring.  Now that we have moved to San Diego, I will be on the search for a vet as caring as Dr. Davis and his staff at Adobe Animal Hospital. AWESOME experience!One of my cats were starting to act very temperamental, made weird gagging noises before she'd spaz out twisting her neck.  I thought maybe she had some kind of psychiatric issue and was hesitant to bring her in before I can figure out what exactly was wrong.When I offered her a treat and she went for it tentatively, and immediately acted like I hurt her it was the last straw and I made an appointment.  They were able to see us within an hour.The staff was very nice and careful around my unhappy cat.  A tech came and held her by the scruff while Dr. Davis did his examination.  Thankfully within minutes he found something sticking out of one of her back teeth.They sedated her, pulled it out, chipped the tartar that had built up around it and gave her an antibiotic shot that would cover 2 weeks.  All for about $220.  As easy and reasonably priced as it was, I felt terrible for not bringing her in sooner!  They were so nice and expertly handled her.  They explained everything to me before and after the procedure.  I would definitely recommend this hospital! Best. Vet. Ever. I personally see Dr. Davis, but Dr. Newland is also amazing. I take my personal pets here, but also worked for a facility where most of our clients took their pets here as well. I have never heard a single complaint against them. The staff is always so happy and helpful. Christy is the perkiest person I have ever met, and her mood is contagious. I always feel like my pets are being taken care of, and that I'm not just another dollar sign walking through the door. Dr. Davis recommended spacing out my dogs vaccinations, but didn't charge me an office visit upon my return for the other vaccinations.
