Dr Thomasson is amazing and we’re so thankful for him. He has a very calming demeanor and really cares about animals. We had brought our Pekingese here the last several years of her almost 18 years of life and Dr Thomasson was very respectful and never ordered batteries of tests “just because”. He understood how aging dogs change and explained many things about them to us. He is very gracious and we highly recommend him to care for your fur kids. Our many thanks to him for taking care of our precious Phoebe. She was our princess.

I just recently got a leopard gecko who was in shed when I picked him up and i realized when the shed finally came off that he had something going on with his eye I was very stressed bc I didnt want ...
I just recently got a leopard gecko who was in shed when I picked him up and i realized when the shed finally came off that he had something going on with his eye I was very stressed bc I didnt want to wait to long to get him seen but I didn't have enough to cover the cost at all the vets I called. So I checked Groupon and found this place. While they don't specialize in reptiles they do have a doctor that will see them and he was amazing! The prices were already a little lower than most places I called but the Groupon was a life saver for me and my baby (and it was applied to his medicine to not just the exam).
They got us in same day and I was very happy with how gentle and patient Dr. T was my little guy! (Geckos are very flighty and don't like to feel held down) We have definitely found our new forever vet! It's only day 2 of doing the drops and he already seems more comfortable and the swelling has gone down a bit.
Also, when I looked at the receipt I noticed that in the itemized list it has 'tender love and care $0.00' which I thought was adorable! I highly recommend Cochise animal hospital for any animal!

I've taken my multipoo (her name is Puppy) to multiple vets for stomach related issues and zero answers. Dr. Thomasson immediately was able to detect a tumor in her abdomen. If not for that visit we would have no idea she has an orange sized tumor that needs to be removed with her spleen.

The one place where the doctors truly care about your furry children at THE most affordable price. I had sent out quotes to about 8 different places and Cochise really beat everyone else out by a lot! I had to get a Rabies Titer for my pup and I was getting quotes from $220-$500! But doc here only charges $120+shipping. Shipping was about $65 but that was only after Doc Thomasson personally called around asked for a cheaper price because their regular FedEx was charging $125. He went above and beyond.Lastly, my puppers cries easily when in pain, but in between a blood draw and microchip, she didn't even yelp. Doc's got skill and true love for pets. Don't even consider going anywhere else!!

We woke up this morning and discovered our Dachshund was walking funny and had pains when picking her up. We had never been here before, but they were open at 8am on Saturday. The staff and Dr were so fantastic and caring for her. Dr. Thomasson immediately diagnosed her and we were out the door in less than 45 minutes with a prescription. What excellent service compared to previous vets we have used.

I've been living in the Scottsdale area for about a year and have been looking for the best vet for my two year old maltipoo who has a thicker medical record than most pets in their first 10 years of life. Being spoiled at my old vets office I knew how GREAT care can be for the beast...this clinic was my second to take her to and I wish it had been the first.The staff was friendly, they obviously care about their regular patients (they squeezed one in the same morning I was there), they are friendly and have excellent bedside manner! I saw the relief vet on the Saturday I took Stella for her vaccine booster and she was wonderful. Being knew to the area, let alone Arizona and the desert she taught me so much in the quick visit...things that Oregonians don't have to think about back there. SO -- all in all thank you for the care and compassion you showed not only me but every pet that came in the morning we were there.

Dr Steve is not only a wonderful guy with a very genuine love for his patients, he's a knowledgeable and skilled surgeon. He operated on our cat, Roxie's hind leg, repairing a torn knee capsule with a severe dislocation of the patella. Roxie came through with flying colors and was back on her leg in no time. My only complaint would be that he did TOO good of a job... I may bring her back in to see if he can slow her down a bit. Our back yard is completely devoid of lizards and geckos now (See #10 on the list posted here on "10 signs your cat actually loves you:" to see how happy we are about that fact). Actually, we're happy to have our Roxie back in working order. Dr Thomasson, you're the greatest!

I had to put one of cats down a couple of years ago & they were very kind to me. They were supportive and accomodating. I like the fact that they run on time. I would highly recommend Steven Thomasson for your pets. I have been taking my dog, Lucy to him for years!! He is very knowledgeable about all animals and very helpful and compassionate! I like that he is conservative in his treatment and doesn't recommend surgery if there are other options. His office location is very close to my job and my home which makes it very convenient. He has office hours which are nice for people who work since he is open until 6 during the week. He also has Saturday hours which is awesome so I don't have to take time off from work. His staff is very friendly and helpful as well and very kind to Lucy.

Being spoiled at my old vets office I knew how GREAT care can be for the beast...this clinic was my second to take her to and I wish it had been the first.The staff was friendly, they obviously care about their regular patients (they squeezed one in the same morning I was there), they are friendly and have excellent bedside manner! I saw the relief vet on the Saturday I took Stella for her vaccine booster and she was wonderful. Being knew to the area, let alone Arizona and the desert she taught me so much in the quick visit...things that Oregonians don't have to think about back there. SO -- all in all thank you for the care and compassion you showed not only me but every pet that came in the morning we were there.

I love this place and the vet. Too bad new receptionist is very rude and unprofessional. Every time I call the hospital she would place me on hold for 5+ mins gets back on t he line she starts talking...
I love this place and the vet. Too bad new receptionist is very rude and unprofessional. Every time I call the hospital she would place me on hold for 5+ mins gets back on t he line she starts talking to other customers not only that I have to repeat myself because she is too busy talking to other people. Let me know when she is not longer there so I can go back.

Dr Steve is not only a wonderful guy with a very genuine love for his patients, he's a knowledgeable and skilled surgeon. He operated on our cat, Roxie's hind leg, repairing a torn knee capsule with a severe dislocation of the patella. Roxie came through with flying colors and was back on her leg in no time. My only complaint would be that he did TOO good of a job... I may bring her back in to see if he can slow her down a bit. Our back yard is completely devoid of lizards and geckos now (See #10 on the list posted here on "10 signs your cat actually loves you:" to see how happy we are about that fact). Actually, we're happy to have our Roxie back in working order. Dr Thomasson, you're the greatest!

I have been going to Cohise Animal Hospital for 6 years. I had two cats and Dr. Thomasson has been great. The whole staff really cares about their patients and their owners. I had to put one of cats down a couple of years ago & they were very kind to me. They were supportive and accomodating. I like the fact that they run on time. I would highly recommend this office for your pet care needs.

I would highly recommend Steven Thomasson for your pets. I have been taking my dog, Lucy to him for years!! He is very knowledgeable about all animals and very helpful and compassionate! I like that he is conservative in his treatment and doesn't recommend surgery if there are other options. His office location is very close to my job and my home which makes it very convenient. He has office hours which are nice for people who work since he is open until 6 during the week. He also has Saturday hours which is awesome so I don't have to take time off from work. His staff is very friendly and helpful as well and very kind to Lucy.
