Took care of our dog Beemer from puppyhood to end of life. Kept him happy and healthy - even performing emergency surgery one time. When his time came, they handled it with care and sensitivity. We just moved to DC Ranch and I was out walking our three Siberian huskies when one had been stung or bitten. I went straight to DC Ranch Animal hospital and they were amazing with my dog. If you want a cheap vet, go to big corporate. If you want personal care and compassion, a thorough work up, and a family feel, this is the place to go. I've been bringing my 3 dogs and 2 cats here for over 7 years and have even worked, on and off, as a PT tech for 2 of those years. There are SO man vets around town, there's no reason to bring your pets to one you don't like. I've chosen to bring all my fur critters to Dr Julie. Read Less

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS VET! I started going to her because she was walking distance from my house. But that was the worst decision I could ever make. I had taken my pet their for all his puppy shots and when he got sick and spent at least 500 dollars there. I constantly had questions for the Julie, but had never actually had the chance to talk with her in person. I would call her and leave messages for her to call me back and I never once received one from her.Finally, I called her back and expressed I was frustrated that she would never call me back and wanted to go to another doctor. She calls me back and about screams my head off, telling me to leave. So rude, disrespectful, and unstable.I would not recommend DC Ranch Animal Hospital to anyone. Read Less

Dr. Bartz is the most compassionate veterinary practitioner I have ever met. Our dog Ziggy kisses her before and after every encounter. She was early in her diagnosis of hypothyroidism and her timing, treatment and caring brought Ziggy back to full puppy mode. I highly recommend her and her amazing staff.Read Less

We have an abused rescue dog and were very unhappy with the first vet we used.  We tried DC Ranch Animal Hospital and are extremely happy with the care and service.  Our dog feels comfortable there and they treat her very well.  The doctor's and tech's always explain what is happening and we feel quite at ease with this office.I would recommend DC Animal Hospital to everyone.  They are extremely helpful and the people are very nice and knowledgeable. Have used DC Ranch Animal Hospital for my dogs for the past ten years. I have gone through aging dogs to new puppies during this time and have used their medical, surgical, grooming, dental and all other types of care. Julie and her staff have been wonderful throughout. The care they give the dogs and the owners as well when the end is near has been superb. As an MD I am in a position to judge somewhat better than the average person and I would say the use of lab studies, x-rays and consultants has been thoughtful, appropriate and helpful. Most Excellent Vet Experience!The dog I went for a hike this past weekend, great weather,  easy trail, nice scenery.  All was going well until the "bad dog" (see prior review about IPAD breakage...) decided he would pick up the pace and chase a rabbit that crossed our path.  I held onto the leash but he found himself face first into a Chola.... Oh boy the yelp he made!My wife generally takes care of the vet visits and such but unfortunately she was out of town for the weekend.  I called our regular "Vet" (NOT DC Ranch) and was quickly told that they where closing in 15 minutes and I should call and take him to the Emergency Hospital.  What!  SO basically they where unwilling to accommodate a long term client at noon on a Saturday.  And that I would be paying more $$ at the emergency hospital -that P'd me off.So while sitting in the car with the dog wincing in pain from what appeared to be hundreds of spines in his face, I remembered the animal hospital across from a wine bar we frequent in DC Ranch Market Street - found their number and called...What a completely different experience!!!   The young lady also said they where closing soon ( I guess Saturdays are half days in the Vet world) but they would wait for me to bring him over. Now I'm not a customer of DC Ranch Animal Hospital at this point mind you...The Dr and nurse where waiting in the lobby...  the nurse took him in back while Dr Barts sp? explained the process of removal of the spins, sedation, pain medication etc.. She made sure I understood what was involved and put me at ease.  I guess these cactus spine "accidents" with dogs in our area is not uncommon.  The young lady who answered the phone behind the desk had an estimate for me to review and I gave the green light.An hour or so later the "bad dog"  ( I do love him!) was spine free.  A little groggy from whatever the used to knock him out a bit.  Dr went over what I needed to do with the meds and monitoring him because of the sedative.  The final bill was actually a little less than the estimate and I paid and was on my way.  The whole process of dealing with the Dr and her staff was awesome - from my  phone call to checking out.  The never made me feel like was holding them up for staying later than normal on a weekend, where professional and friendly.  All for a first time customer with a "situation".  On Monday I received a follow up call about how the pup was doing - these guys really care about their patients.  My wife and I have decided to make them our new regular vet....
