Amazing Veterinary care! What I like most is, after your visit, the doctor's always follow up and give a quick call to see how your pet is doing. When my dog Ollie had a terrible rash, I received a call 48 hours later to see how he was doing. Same thing when he had a possible obstruction in his tummy. I am new to the neighborhood and my dog got loose.  Someone turned her into the Hopi Animal Hospital and we found out after a few days of looking.  Once we were reunited, I offered to pay the boarding price for the four days she stayed at the hospital.  My offer was declined as they were just happy to see us reunited with our beloved Darla.  All the staff we encountered were cheerful and we will definitely be coming back for our dog's healthcare needs. The vets and staff at Hopi are great!  They treated our babies as their own and always let me know how things went with immediate phone calls and follow ups.  I had two different dogs that got bit by other dogs in the eye and Dr. Pruden did a great job of making them all better!! Read Less

Dear Dr Pruden, wanted to thank you soooo much for taking care of Tiger kitty and PMO and me so wonderfully on June 13, 2017 .  What a huge, efficient , visually beautiful, fantastic , awesome, Hospital you Have!!! I brought my sweet Shelly to this hospital because she had a gams disease and needed to extract most of her teeth. We recently moved from CA to AZ.Dr. Scholten was very nice and caring, even the cost which was very expensive he did charge the min for this treatment.  WE did go to another pet hospital prior and they tried to charge us more and gave us lots of medication even I told them my cat hates medication. She get into a panic and go under the bed for 3 days.  Dr Scholten understood it and gave us no medication to take home he treated her with medication that can last up to 14 days. We went to Hopi Animal Hosital on a Saturdaywhen my husband accidentally hit our dog. Our regular vet was closed and Hopi was still open. I can't say enough about how great everyone was. They squeezed us in even though they were losing in 20 minutes. They treated us amazing and took great care of our baby. Luckily our fur baby didn't suffer any major injuries but they took great care of him and thoroughly checked to make sure he had no issues. All the staff and the vet were very professional and told us how great sweet and well behaved our dog was. The staff at Hopi definetly love what they do and love the pets. The lobby is also very nice and educational with bones and fossils on display. I would recommend them to anyone in the area. Read Less

Always caring and polite staff ! First came in with a dear friend...she has had a few dogs in Hopi care over the years...when I moved here I continued my dogs care here. My Aussie passed after almost 18 years together...the entire staff wrote sweet notes on a card in sympathy... it meant a lot to me...and when my new fur kid needed help I brought her here. The front desk gal was kind and friendly. However upon taking our dog who after x rays, blood tests, the whole shebang, we were told that he needed surgery because his abdominal cavity had more blood in it than where his blood was supposed to be, and that they couldn't do it there.... the reason why? Because even though we brought him in at 2:30pm it was to late in the day. "If it was earlier we could do the surgery here". So in other words... I know you just spent over $500 dollars and your dog is in an emergency state, but I want to go home in a few hours so you're going to have to take him elsewhere. Are you kidding me? They were all to pushy about just euthanizing him, I'm guessing because that would be quicker and ensure they left on time! Since when did helping animals become second place? The most caring staff ive run across! My fur baby was older when we found Hopi so i had a very discerning eye and heart but they always made us feel welcome & warm. Dr. Scholten and all staff from front desk to techs are amazing and genuinely caring. We have multiple dogs so they've been there for us through a spectrum of events ranging from broken toenails of our crazy mini Aussie, to surgery of Pinto's foot to avoid amputation, to end stage care for our senior sweet girl most recently. We've been bringing our dogs there for 5+ years and always liked Hopi. This week was the first time we had a real emergency on our hands and they sure demonstrated what makes them so great from start to finish - from the woman in reception taking our 45 pound dog out of my boyfriend's arms and carrying him back to get treated to the careful treatment and regular updates over his 3 day stay. I bring my 2 dogs to the Hopi Animal on a regular basis not only for their health needs but also for lodging. I get amazing customer service. My dogs and I feel extremely welcome and Freckles and Pooch are always happy when dropped off for lodging. The employees know them by name and know their needs and wants even before I say anything. I've taken my guys in twice now and both times the vet, Dr Pruden was very gentle and the tech was very gentle with them too. Thank you both for a great job taking care of my puppies. I'm loyal customer now. Your facility is very clean and everyone is so professional. The groomers are great and the runs are wide open with lots of room. Thanks for reporting on them while I was away. I also appreciate the heartworm advise and free checkup. I've been lazy about year round treatment but no more. I needed a vet in Scottsdale and was recommended Hopi Animal Hospital by a friend who's cat came in with severe crystals in the kidney. Dr Pruden saved his life! And she has more than delivered on my expectations caring for my two cats. Very professional and explains everything. Boarding facilities are very good. Thx Hopi for taking care of my cats. I dont want to be to mean here so I will just say, please find another vet to take your pets. These people want your money bottom line. they will watch your pet expire if you can not afford their high prices. On top of everything they want the payment before they will even treat...Very sad. Dr. Scholten and Dr. Pruden are just GREAT! They have treated both my dogs and guinea pigs. They are the only veterinarians I know that you can personally contact by phone after hours. Dr. Scholten even gave me his cell phone number to call if I had an extreme emergecny with my dog when we took him home. Read Less
