I’ve lived in Phoenix for almost three years. I had originally taken my 12 year old cat to another vet clinic for her yearly check and lions cut the last two years, but felt uneasy this past year. Luckily, through a great referral I learned about N. Scottsdale Animal Hospital. From the moment I walked in, I felt like we mattered to the entire staff. From the receptionist, to the technician, to Dr. Josh and the groomer, everyone was extremely welcoming. It was a breath of fresh air. Dr. Josh was amazing! He really took the time to understand everything about my “baby”. I had some concerns with her being getting older and he walked me through everything. When I started to tear up, he reassured me and was comical (in a positive way), which oddly enough, made me realize my “baby” was in a good hands. When I picked her up same day, the staff again was very welcoming and Dr. Josh took the time to update me and yet again reassure me. Dr. Josh was great at diagnosing my indoor cat with Valley Fever even though he didn't have all of the symptoms.  It was either that or metastasized lung cancer so we found ourselves hoping for Valley Fever.  They are very transparent about pricing and options.  They are all gentle and compassionate and I feel fortunate to have selected them.  Many vets are forever trying to upsell and that is not their MO here. I've been bringing my pet here to visit with Dr. Sarah for a few years and have been completely satisfied with their services.  This vet office has a calm atmosphere and is very clean and well organized.  The staff members are pleasant and very compassionate towards both the pet owners and their pets.  I have found the communication between the office and pet owners very consistent and making an appointment here quick and easy.  From what I've compared elsewhere, their prices appear to be fairly average...(though do try to make use of their referral program incentive.  It's a win-win for all. :) I highly recommend this pet service if you're looking for a full serve vet office.  Always a pleasure coming here...thanks for the professional service you provide! We have been with Josh and his wonderful team for over 10 years and 4 pets When our (then) 17 year old cat became very ill and got down to 3 pounds, Josh quickly diagnosed her with stomach cancer and put her on a regimen that literally give her new life. She lived to 23 on that regimen and josh then came to our house 15 miles away when the inevitable time came to let her go. Again when our 18 year old mini schnauzer been having seizures and was in terrible pain, josh was compassionate, patient and a true friend. Most recently, our 17 year old mixed breed dog has begun a new laser therapy treatment for arthritis at Josh's recommendation. The results have been nothing shy of miraculous. My limping dog who had trouble sending up now jumps at her leash like and runs after birds and lizards like a puppy. the treatment is surprisingly inexpensive and totally noninvasive. Josh and his team (who have been there for years) are very professional and never try to "nicel and dime" you. NSAH is the most caring and compassionate vet group I have ever worked with. I have been taking my furbabies to these guys for 7 years and have always been treated warmly, from Jennifer and Brooke in the front office, to Dr. Sarah and Dr. Josh. It's apparent that they care deeply for their patients and this is not just a job to them. When our beloved Turbo passed away, they went above and beyond to help us find out what happened and why. I will never forget the compassion that was shown to us during that difficult time. I have never felt pressured to pay for unnecessary treatments and when our other cat's medication went up 3x in price, they went out of their way to find us a better price, even though it was through another pharmacy. I cannot say enough nice things about these people. I will forever be grateful to them for taking such good care of my furry family and I always recommend them when I get the opportunity. Read Less

The care, concern and compassion shown to our beloved dogs is beyond superb; it is stellar! Dr. Sosnow and his team have not only made themselves available 24/7 as we experienced when our dog Latke became ill, but they were extremely supportive when he passed away from a heart condition. They advised on what to expect and with great compassion, how to let go. Our dogs bark at EVERYONE..but no one at North Scottsdale Animal Hospital! This morning, while cuddling with my fur baby, I thought about how lucky I am to have a happy and healthy pup. If anything ever happens to him, I know just where to go. I found Enzo at a county animal shelter. He was skin and bones and in desperate need of a bath. After coxing him into the tub I realized he brought home several fat ticks. I got most of them off myself but a few had made their home in between his paw pads. The next day, I took my new guy to see Dr. Josh for a check up and for help with the ticks. The vet tech that checked us in advised me to wait a few weeks to see the vet to save some money (he wasn't able to get his shots for another two weeks anyways). Vet tech did a check up and helped remove the nasty buggers that I wasn't able to myself. A couple weeks later we met Dr. Josh. Enzo immediately gave him his loudest, scariest bark. Dr. Josh didn't even flinch and brought in his own Airedale pal. Having his dog in the room immediately calmed Enzo down and made the visit a lot less stressful for him. Took my cat in for a UTI, found out that bladder stones were causing her UTI. The vet was very nice and showed me both the ultrasound and the x-rays. She explained that there are a couple types of bladder stones, one type that can be dissolved with a diet change and another that required surgery. There were no crystals in her urine so we couldn't tell which type of stones they were. We agreed on a diet change and another visit next month to see if the stones shrunk or disappeared. I made it clear that I didn't want surgery to be our first option, the procedure is very invasive, risky and expensive... so we tried the diet change and she gave us pain medication.Fast forward to the next day, I called with a question and they were extremely rude and pushy, refusing to treat the UTI with antibiotics to make her more comfortable until we found a solution to the bladder stones. They told me that I'd just have to deal with my cat's discomfort and that there was nothing more they could do until I decided to schedule her surgery. They also told me that the food alone wouldn't show any results for at least 6 weeks, if at all and the only "immediate action" was surgery. Not true.The phone conversation left me with a bad feeling, so I took her for a second opinion. The second vet treated her UTI with antibiotics and said that there was no reason why we couldn't make her more comfortable until we chose a course of action for the bladder stones. I felt that North Scottsdale Animal Hospital was trying to pressure me into a $2,000 surgery that could potentially be avoided altogether. The second vet also quoted me much less on the surgery if we end up having to go that route.The vet and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful at first, until I decided against surgery. We have used Dr Josh & Dr Sarah for 8 years (after a terrible experience with another vet). They have provided wonderful care to our dog & I think they have been conservative & thoughtful in their treatment. I always ask them a ton of questions when I'm in their office & they always take the time to answer all of them. It's very obvious to me that they keep up with the latest in veterinary medicine & research.We have sent several friends to them & all of them have also had good experiences with their practice. I feel so lucky that we found this amazing place!  They were recommended to us when we moved here to Phx 7 years ago and have become like family.  They have been taking care of my 2 dogs and we couldn't be happier with the care from Dr. Josh, Dr. Sarah and ALL of the staff there.  Recently Dr Josh discovered a lesion on my lab's ankle and it turned out to be cancer.  We needed a lot of hand holding during the process of figuring out how we wanted to treat him.  I appreciated how they let me figure out what we wanted to do, while being there for support and information.Just 2 weeks ago we decided to amputate his back leg so he would be more comfortable and, hopefully, treat the cancer, as it seemed to be a chondrosarcoma.  It was!  He is already running around (well, galloping) and has his joyful smile back.  My husband and I are so grateful that we had this practice to guide us through this process.  My many calls were always answered promptly and with lots of love.I have sent many people here, who always thank me.Many thanks to NSAH for their care and love! I found North Scottsdale Animal Hospital on an internet search when I needed a place to board my golden retriever while moving here from the Bay Area. Needless to say, I now have two and entrust all of their care including boarding and grooming to Dr.s Sosnow and Brown and the wonderful, kind and caring staff. Both dogs have gone through multiple surgeries and procedures there and still can't wait to get through the door to get their hellos and hugs. I moved here with two 5-year old lab mixed dogs from the Northwest. I needed a good vet and did some research on Google and found this veterinarian. My concern was having them - not me - obtain all the records from my vet in WA and then continuing the same treatment and care my pets have always had. I called them on the phone and Jennifer was super sweet and said she would contact my Vet in Tacoma, WA. I called my vet there and said to please release a copy of their records. It was done that day. My dogs love to go into this office and just love the staff as much as we do. And as an added bonus - their prices are lower than my last Vet. Very reasonable. I just want to let you all know that we have a pedigree min pin whom we dearly love. Due to the economy we have had to move a lot with jobs. We have never failed to take care of our pet whom we consider a family member. While we had to leave AZ and move to TX we had what we thought was an extra box of HeartGard so we did not rush to go to the vet. When I called to place the order for the heartgard, it was refused. After calling the office and speaking to JENNIFER, she said my dog would have to be tested because he has not had the medicine for 6mths now. She was very unproffessional and rude. The very least she could have done was call the previous vet to see that our dog was continuously on heartgard insead of accusing me of not having him on the meds for 6mths. She refused to help and this was extreemly upsetting. How can I just go have a test miles away? It's not like they do not have medical records. They do. Jennifer is ugly and as far as I'm concerned she is not too capable of the job she has. You would think they would have performed the test while I was there. No, they had no problem giving me the RX. What's the difference now? I'm glad I never have to see that vets office again. I have had animals all my life and this was the most heartless. Read Less

I went to Dr. Sosnow because my neighbor recommended him. I was extremely satisfied with his diagnosis of my dog's illness. He called me several times for about 2 months to follow-up on the problem and I have since recommended him to two other friends. He also gives you $15 off whenever you refer a friend! Read Less
