Form the 1st day I started working here till now I have loved it. I have worked at many animal hospitals from general practice, specialty and emergency. I have never worked with a whole staff who cares more about the animals and making the clients happy. From grooming, boarding, doctors, techs and the intelligent girls up from they all truley work as a team. We are a family here. I have never been happier working with this staff. She's under the care of Dr. Andrea who we trust and respect, always offers explanations and options, and seems to generally care. All of the Staff are very friendly, helpful and respectful. I totally agree with Stacy Hardy. I live in north scottsdale and have gone to many vets in the area. All of them are about 20% higher than vets in Phoenix and other areas but Pima is the highest of the high in terms of cost. I also agree that recheck examinations should be covered. I'm willing to pay for additional medications and supplies but this is just plain price gouging because of the clientele in the area. I now drive 20 miles across town to another vet who charges about 15% lower so their argument that their costs justify their prices is a false justification. Read Less

My pet was followed at Pima North for the past 6 years. He has been very healthy and very little was needed except routine follow up. He recently developed fairly sudden inability to bear weight on a limb and was in obvious pain with a severe limp. He was diagnosed with arthritis without an acceptable exam or X-rays. I spent an exceptional amount of money on medications and visits for "arthritis". A second opinion was obtained and proved he has no arthritis and in fact had a hip subluxation as well as disseminated coccidiomycosis. Both of these conditions being quite serious without treatment. I'm very disappointed this happened. Please be your pet's advocate and question any diagnosis which seems incorrect or cursory. Read Less

We just moved here from Michigan. We have 4, yes 4 furry kids (3 rotties and a goldendoodle) and I only have one here with me right now while the other 3 will be on their way. Lets just say Zane, our curious and youngest rottie hasn't learned his lesson yet with all the wonderful cacti in our yard, which is 5 acres fenced in and landscaped, saying that because there ARE several. I researched the closest Vet being that we needed a new family Vet. I walked in without an appt, Zane was sedated to get the thorn out because he's a bit dramatic and was out all within an hour. Super pleased with the entire staff and they were so incredibly friendly that I felt as if I was at home and been there before. Highly recommend and happy to have found them! Thanks guys! Read Less

I have nothing but great things to say about this place and especially Dr. Walker. I have German Shepherds and it took several poor experiences at other vet clinics before I found Dr. Walker, and I feel very positive about taking my dogs in for veterinary care now at Pima North Animal Hospital. She actually cares about animals and has great knowledge at the same time. The other clinics I went to were not up to par with Pima North Animal Hospital. I had one German Shepherd that had cancer and everyone there put forth the best effort anyone could ask for. I am very happy I found this place. Read Less

I've been bringing my pets to Pima North Animal Hospital for many years. Dr. Taetle and the staff have been very caring with all of my pets. In the past year, Dr. Taetle helped track down a particular food allergy my pet had, which allowed us to find a way to deal with it on an ongoing basis, much to my relief. He followed up after the appointments to make sure things were still going well with my pet and I particularly appreciate that he was able to be available by email when my schedule made it difficult for me to call during the business day. I am a pet parent of many animals, horses, dogs, cats, ferrets. Although I am not new to AZ, I am new to the North Scottsdale area of living. I have seen many vet offices in my time having animals. I think the doctors at PNAH are sufficient in their knowledge, and friendly, their office is clean and they are very timely in getting you in and out. HOWEVER, when it comes to cost, they are extremely high compared to other offices. You can get the same quality care for your animals at other offices. One of the issues is they charge for recare of your animal. I have never been charged for a recare apt. I think it is a disservice to their customers to charge this. It should be looked upon as a continuing service from the first visit. In order to keep pet parents WANTING to continue with the health of their pets, it should be good customer service from the vets to extend the service of recare at no charge. Just because the office is located in a very nice area where money is better then other areas, it should not be abused and customers should not be taken for granted. For this reason, I will not be going back to this facility but seeking quality vet care for my babies at another facility. Read Less

I have been going to Pima North Animal Hospital for 14 years (yes, many pets), and have always been happy with the wonderful care they provide. My pets are warmly greeted by the staff and handled gently by all--front desk, techs, and the doctors. Most pets are a little scared at the vet, but they do everything possible to keep my pets as calm as possible.
