I came in late at night with my kitten who had an infected wound. I had never dealt with something like this so i was super freaked out. They immediately took him back to check him to be sure he was stable enough to wait. I got there at 11pm and left at 2am. It's about the length of time i expected to be there considering it was the middle of the night and there was 3 or 4 other people there before me. I was helped by 3 or 4 different staff members and they were all very kind and reassuring. The place was very clean, I even sat on the floor with my kitten and while i was waiting one of the girls was mopping the floor around us. They were very gentle with him and tried to be as quick as possible to reduce any discomfort to him. The doctor listened to me and explained the situation very well. The prices were also very reasonable. I expected several hundred dollars since it was an emergency visit and he ended up going home with medications, but my total was much less than i expected. I want to post a huge THANK YOU to your entire staff. You all showed such compassion during a very hard time for me as my Gretta's time to cross the rainbow bridge had come. She was with me for 15 years and had the most unique personality. I often tell the story of how she went over to the neighbors house and stole a steak off of the side of their bbq. The neighbor went to add another steak to the plate, saw one missing, and as he turned to look for it he see's Gretta with it in her mouth, head high, tail wagging and trotting back home with it. He said he had to sit down he was laughing so hard. Anyway, I wanted to share something fun about her with you. I highly recommend your team and thank you with all of my heart for your support. When I lived in Scottsdale, I brought my chihuahua in for a check up. She’s scared at the vet and usually has to wear a muzzle during the check up, so that was fine. However, they brought her back DRENCHED IN HER OWN URINE. Apparently in the back she had peed out of fear and they didn’t even bother to clean her up. It was disgusting. I chewed out the main doctor; she was responsible for what happened, yet she barely seemed to care. Never trust these people with your family members. The main doctor is human garbage and has no respect for animals. She’s clearly in it for the money. Read Less

We had to rush our senior cat to the nearest clinic in the middle of the night last weekend, which resulted in us being at the Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic. The staff and vet working were gentle and compassionate in informing us that our little love had to be put to sleep. In the event of this tragedy everyone was so understanding and gave us all the time we needed, from letting us be alone with him before he passed to picking up his ashes and paw print whenever we felt emotionally ready. While I was never able to take my pet here for any checkups, I am confident in the care he received through the end of his life. I am forever grateful for the sensitivity exercised by the staff and I’m confident those working here care about the pets and their owners immensely. I've been going to TSVC since my dogs were puppies and they have always been fantastic! I go there for emergencies, routine visits, any time something happens I can walk in and they do their best to see you in a timely manner. They are always honest and help you and your dogs feel as comfortable as possible. The vets, staff, and front desk are all awesome! Would definitely recommend! We have 8 pets. We need a very good veterinary clinic, and this is it! Yes, sometimes we have had to wait, and when you have a sick pet, every minute seems like an eternity. But the excellent, thorough care we receive is worth it. The staff is efficient but caring. We always receive a follow up call to check on our pets the day after we go in. The costs are explained before anything is done and are reasonable. We highly recommend this vet! Read Less

I took my cat here a few months ago on an emergency visit. I called about a half hour prior to coming in and they said there was no wait at the time for an emergency visit so I tried to gather us up as quickly as I could. By the time I got there there were a few other people there, and some walking in with appointments it seemed, because they got seen right away. I ended up waiting an hour before being placed in a room, which I get, because I’m sure the wait time had changed since I initially called. That wasn’t it though. One placed into a room I was waiting quite a long time again, and the vet techs that came in were somewhat abrupt and didn’t give me a clear answer as to what I was waiting for and for how long. It just seemed like I kept hearing “I’ll be right back”, and I didn’t know how long to expect to wait or what I was even waiting for. I’m not one to rush people doing their work but my cat was not feeling well and I was getting fed up. FINALLY I opened to door to the back hallway to ask what was going on. It was only THEN that a very friendly tech came in to get the details of the story and apologize many times and explain there had been another emergency where they needed a lot of backup. I really appreciated her care and explanation and she even offered to have the manager give me a discount for the next visit and she said she would set that up. At that point, I didn’t even want to make my girl wait for any more checks or tests and we left with a prescription. Following up after the visit, someone did get in contact with me by leaving a message about my discount for the next visit. However, when I called back and she wasn’t there, the receptionist said she would pass along the message, but I never heard back. I was very disappointed with this experience and I will not be going back, and I would rather my initial visit be refunded rather than a discount on a future visit. I understand things happen but when it comes to the care of my fur babies, one time is enough to decide to not come back. Read Less

They used to show care and compassion... now all they care about is raking in money. They used to be 5 stars, but they have gone downhill, and changed the approach to money raking. They waited to treat my baby, held him in the back without communicating, until they had $400... then they gave him a medicine that stressed him out. Worst experience ever. I was very impressed with both the clinic and the staff. Despite two emergencies more pressing than the issue I was having with my dog, they still managed to see us fairly quickly. The entire staff was so nice and sweet with my pup (who had never been to an actual clinic before). They were able to diagnose her immediately and give me all the medication I needed for her very quickly. I was very surprised about the entire cost, which was much less than I was anticipating from an emergency vet. My overall experience was great and now I have myself a clinic I can trust in Arizona! I came in with without and appointment was put under emergency care so that I and my cat can get the help we need. The vet techs in the front were awesome and helpful and the wait was long it was worth it. The vet tech that worked with me and Rj was very knowledgeable and asked questions to get a better understanding of what the issue could be. This helped the doctor paint a picture of the needs and treatment plan that would best suit our needs. I felt comfortable with my car in there hands though I know he can me quite a handful around stranger, but none the less they did there jobs and they did it right. We have used this practice for dental care for one of our cats and vet care for our dog. The vet care has been outstanding Dental work was much more reasonably priced than it would have been at our previous practice, and the vet was excellent; called to discuss a possible pre-surgical test and worked through the cost/benefit analysis to conclude with me that it didn't make sense to do. Cat did great and is now very happy. Boarding is also quite good and it is super-convenient that they have late night drop-off and pickup options. Pets always seem happy and well-cared for when we pick them up. While they are boarded there, staff will text you pictures of them! We love that. The front-desk team has a cute nickname for our pug so we also love feeling that our pets are being cared for with affection. I brought my dog to the Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic for a hurt foot. Based on reviews I thought I would at least be getting decent care. I expected the prices to be high but I also expected decent care. The doctor came in for maybe 45 seconds and after I opted out of X-Rays, I never saw her again. She never mentioned that the foot was swollen or what she thought it might be (I later read this diagnosis on her paperwork at home). She actually didn't even do an exam. I thought for $95 dollars you would at least get an exam or options for care. I understand the cost of medications but the charging $95 for nothing is robbery. I was never told what kind of pain medications she was getting or being sent home with till after they were ringing me up. I told the tech I had the one medication at home and she said well I'll take your card. The staff overall was not very friendly and the service is not great. We've been going there for two years now for our dog. This clinic was referred to us by a former employee and trusted friend. We have a 7 year old Schnauzer and they are amazing with him. We have regularly called in for advice when he's not acting quite normal and they are quick with advice. They only recommend we bring him in when they feel something is seriously wrong, which is rare.When we do go in for emergencies or regular checkups, they are very caring with him and careful in diagnostics. The only knock I'd have on them is that they tend to be very busy and the wait times, even with appointment, can be more than I'd like. Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic was amazing this morning! We just moved here and we were having trouble finding a vet. We had a hard time searching for one in the beginning with some bad experiences. I am happy the search is over! Dr.Fonza was very nice to my shy girl Lilly. He was very understanding of how he had to earn her trust and he did :) the front desk staff and tech were also friendly. The vaccines are reasonably priced here. I also checked in to use a $5 off coupon. Thank you Yelp! The initial exam plus one vaccine was only $69! Mr. Mumford is treated well here. We have been bringing him here for over four years. The staff act like his fans and, he loves it. More importantly, they have a knowledgable staff from different backgrounds who work together to give your pet the best care. That has been our experience. We had a close call when Mumford wasn't urinating and became lethargic. It was serious and, we were booked to leave out of the country the next day. The issue was discovered and Mumford's team conferred with a research team out of Colorado because of Mumford's quizzical anatomy. The presented their strategy and procedure plan and assured us he would be well taken care of. My daughter took him back to our home three days later and he healed beautifully. Whenever we take him in, his tail is wagging. He's a huge 80+lb American Bulldog mix with a sweet disposition and they are most kind to him. We really appreciate that. Read Less

So it's 11:30 on a Friday night, and I'm taking my boys on their nightly walk. I look down and notice my younger boy is gushing blood from his mouth, and I rush home and see he's bit his tongue and is an absolute gushing fountain of blood. I'm freaking out at this point, and scramble to find a 24 hour vet. Thanks to a very kind receptionist at Phoenix Veterinary Referral and Emergency we find out that The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic was the closest 24 hour vet to us. Both the vet tech and vet were so kind and understanding- and as it turned out my little boy was just fine. My boyfriend and I came in yesterday for our first visit and we were less than impressed. We used to go to Ingleside but a friend of ours recommended this clinic so we gave it a try. Big mistake. Customer service at the front desk was lacking and slow. The facility is outdated with strange, hard (no cushion), cubby-like benches to sit in. The worst part about this place was the exam rooms. There was dust all over the wall and there was a clock that looked like it had not been wiped down in a decade. It was disgusting and made me question the cleanliness of the facility. Our vet was nice, but kept things short.Overall, we've had better experiences at other vets who seemed more interested in our pets. Based on our visit, there was a lack of passion and enthusiasm at SVC. We won't be returning. Back to Ingleside it is! Read Less

Dr Reedy and her staff is amazing. I had my female puppy recently spayed by Dr Reedy. She is a great Vet! Daisy is recovering lightening fast. I was extremely nervous about this procedure. Dreading the day it had to be done. Dr Reedy's assistant let us know that she has done thousands of these surgeries due to her involvement with working at a shelter doing neutering and spaying exclusively. I have been taking been taking all 3 of our pups to Scottsdale Vet Clinic for over 5 years. Our primary Veterinarian is Dr. Lockhart, he is kind and very good with our dogs. I trust him %100 with his advice and choices to help benefit the health and wellbeing of our dogs. Since we absolutely love our vet clinic we also chose to use their grooming services for our dogs. I highly recommend Chris for grooming services. She is great with handling our dogs, even great with our stubborn snotty chihuahua who absolutely loves Chris. Chris even gives her beautifully painted nails. We have never had a bad experience with her and our dogs. I always recommend her to people when they are seeking out a groomer. The only negative I can say about the place is the front desk doesn't always have the best customer service. If it wasn't for the amazing vet techs, Dr.'s, and grooming I would probably walk out with a less than amazing experience with the way the front desk handles situations. I've had to bring my kitty in a few times. They've have a few scheduling options and an emergency vet. I usually bring her in on a leash and everyone is so friendly and accommodating. They have individual "cubby" seating areas, so my cat was able to sit and relax without getting nervous about the dogs in the waiting room. I've seen Dr. Lockhart and he has been so careful and tender with my kitty. He even gave me great advice so we wouldn't have to come in so quickly again. This is the only vet office I'll come to! I have been taking my two dogs to the Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic for over a year and have spent thousands of dollars there. Let's be clear, this is a hospital first and clinic second. If time is important to you, then find another place. I do not understand how I can have an appointment scheduled (about six weeks ago) and a hour and 40 minutes later my pet is finally seen by the vet. A week and a half ago I took my dog back in after surgery to have his sutures removed, after being told no appointment was necessary and it only takes a couple of minutes, over an hour later and still sitting there, I finally left. I removed the sutures myself. Needless to say that will be my last visit to the Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic. I will say that if your pet needs emergency care, they are open 24 hours and are decent enough. I would recommend taking your pet elsewhere for it's vet needs though Read Less

This place is legit. After a little tussle at the dog park I found myself with only a few hours before I needed to get to work and a dog with a bleeding eye. They were able to fit me in short notice and were super helpful, explaining what they needed to do and why. Plus my smelly boy loved the staff, they were so kind to him and loving, his tail was wagging the whole time. I am a recent new dog owner and we had our first visit to the vet the other day. I found Scottsdale Vet Clinic online as it was the closest to my house. After briefly reading their website and reviews, I called to explain my dog's situation and they said to bring her on in. They were very welcoming when I arrived and saw her almost instantly. The assistants and the veterinarian were patient and super nice as they cared for my dog. My dog is a lover and they didn't seem to mind all the kisses. I had to put my Baby to sleep and went to these amazing people. I found them online and chose it because of the aromatherapy. Best choice I've ever made. They were compassionate and had options that other places did not. I got an imprint of her paw and her ashes came in a cedar box with a brass name plate. And they also sent me a sympathy card. I've had two vastly different experiences here, 1 worth a 1 start and the other 5 star so i went with an average 3 start.1 Star visit- I brought my 3 month old puppy here 1AM after he had spent an hour throwing up non-stop. After the Vet told me their recommendations I told them how I would like to proceed (anti-nausea shot and test for parvo). However when the Vet assistant came back he had rung me up for 500$ worth of billings when it was originally discussed at 200$. This was due to the fact that even though I discussed with the Vet we wanted to see how the Parvo test came back. While this was eventually fixed the entire conversation made me feel that my dogs best interests weren't the priority here but the money was.5 Star visit- I brought my puppy back last week when he began having difficulty breathing through his nose due to a significant build up of mucus. This time the Vet I met with was exactly the type of medical professional I prefer to deal with. She gave me her feedback and several recommendations, including one that was rather expensive. However, she recommended medication for several days before spending my money on anything unnecessary. As long as the puppy responded to the medication we would be good to goOverall the service here is slow, and pricing is nearly double of who I am going to be using as my Vet in the long run. My dog had been very sick off and on for 2 weeks. She was vomiting, losing weight and not eating. I took her there because when I called, they sounded concerned and very nice and told me to bring her right over. When we got there, we sat and waited for over an hour. I watched them take back all the animals that arrived before us and they continued to see others that arrived AFTER us..and we sat..and we waited some more before someone decided to let us know that they didn't have enough staff to see MY sick dog. I guess we aren't the right kind of people to have our pets treated in a SCOTTSDALE clinic. Very rude and uncaring and my dog spent another week terrible sick as I had to spend time locating a decent place to take her. Read Less

We have always had a wonderful experience at Scottsdale Vet. The only negative is that there is a bit of a wait sometimes, but their prices are super reasonable and the vets are awesome so it really doesn't bother us that much. We have 3 dogs, 2 English Bulldogs and a corgi/lab mix that have all been seen by Scottsdale Vet. At each visit the vet paid personal and careful attention to each dog. Dr Vera even gets on the floor with them which, in my opinion, eases their anxiety about being at the vet. They are open 24/7 so if anything goes wrong with your pet, someone is there to treat them. They are friendly, caring and always open which is a blessing to me. This is a 24/7 vet clinic and hospital. My parents are watching my cats temporarily, and one had a broken tooth. The vet my parents had been using for their cats has always had front desk issues, and it's expensive! They heard about this vet from their cat sitter, and we were not disappointed. They were able to see my cat and schedule an appointment for surgery with little waiting. They were on top of it at the front desk, the bill was appropriate, the staff/vet techs were friendly, and they explained the post-op care well (it helps that my parents and I are in the medical field, but for a lay person, it was probably very thorough).Then we had to have another cat's claws clipped. Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic was there for me in the most dire of times. My poor Mimi (cat) was sick and I was not sure what was going on. I was an emotional wreck and the staff at Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic were able to help me and my cat when I was at a loss on what to do. I rushed there and was greeted by someone at the front desk that made the experience quick and easy. Dr. Erin Greenwood was caring, supportive and honest about the prognosis. She provided me with many options as to how we could have treated Mimi. She walked me through every step and was very straight forward with my options. Unfortunately, I had no choice but to put my sweet kitty down. She was very warm and comforting in this heartbreaking time of ours. I'm so grateful for the staff at Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic. We took our dog in for a cyst on his shoulder that needed to be removed. Everyone from the front office to the doctor were all so friendly and helpful. It was unfortunate how we found this place. Our senior baby was very sick and it came on very sudden. I had found this place on Google at about 10 p.m. at night. The drive seemed like forever thought it was just about 15 minutes. Upon arrival the staff immediately took Benny back because he was having difficulty breathing. They got him the treatment he needed in the moment right away. The vet was very nice. We had to return the following morning because Benny wasn't doing so well, his condition was worsening. We were less impressed 2nd time there as there was no sense of urgency to get him back to be seen, even though he was continuing to have trouble breathing, couldn't stand up much if at all. The vet continued to make our poor dog walk when clearly he was in a lot of pain to do so. We didn't care for her and we didn't feel like we got any clear answers from her. They gave him pain meds and made an appt. for us at the neurologist for the next day. Unfortunately, we had to bring Benny back in that same night around 11pm. It was determined that at that time, he was in far too much pain (even with pain meds), he couldn't eat, drink, or go to the bathroom. We saw the same vet that was there the 1st time we went in (thank God) and made the decision to put him down. The staff was very caring and comforting and reassured us we were doing the right thing for him. For emergency, I don't think they're pricing was outrageous. I think a 5th star would have been merited however we didn't care at all for the vet we saw the 2nd visit and we felt they were just trying to make a case that it was his back when his xray was fine and his symptoms pointed to a tumor. I understand that is why we were referred out though, they couldn't diagnose him further. They did what they could and for that we are appreciative. The facility was very clean as well. I was fairly new to the area when my dog got sick and they took her right in and diagnosed the issue. They are very upfront with costs, alternatives etc, so no expensive surprises. They are friendly, patient, courteous and have our animal's best interest in mind. I had to put two of my 14 year old dogs down within a month of each other last year, and they were so great and kind with me and the dogs. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a full service, 24 hour Vet that really knows customer service. I feel like their pricing is fair and reasonable. Read Less

My ferret began vomiting at 8 pm when most veterinary clinics are closed. I called 3 different clinics before I was referred here to find a vet that was comfortable treating exotic pets. I drove from Buckeye to get to this clinic and I'm glad that I did. The lobby was so beautiful and clean. The exam rooms were as well, with lots of information and posters to keep you entertained while the doctor is treating your pet. On top of that the staff was very friendly and informative. The next morning I picked up my ferret and he was 100% better. Thank you so much Madison and Dr. Kirschenbaum for caring for my little weasel. (Did i forget to mention that their prices were also amazing) I will gladly travel from Buckeye to see them again. Read Less
