Dr. Gilchrist is THE BEST! Trying to find a Vet, I am disabled and was home for a week, alone, and my service dog "Rocky" was hurt really bad, bleeding, etc., following a terrible accident. I was so helpless and did not know who to call or what to do. With no car, I had made over two dozen calls during that afternoon to other Vets to see who could come help Rocky & me, with no luck. All other vets did not seem to care ... EXCEPT DR. GILCHRIST! That man - a U.S. Marine - and WOW does he live up to their creed - called me that night at 10:00pm! "I hope I'm not contacting you too late?" OMG ... My Prayers were answered! After giving me triage instructions, he made room in his schedule the very next day at Noon. Sure enough, Dr. Gilchrist and his assistant knocked on my door at 11:59am. Ready to go, they took charge immediately! "Rocky" was laid down and prepped for minor surgery. (I was passed out!) Dr. Gilchrist performed the necessary work, for a reasonable fee. Today - almost 2 weeks later - my buddy "Rocky" is doing great! Me, too! :) All thanks to our hero: Dr. Gilchrist. Whether a regular visit - or in an emergency - do not settle for less. Call Dr. Gilchrist: He is TRULY THE BEST! Bill G.

The love of my life my dog was deathly sick and I felt like the vet I took him to just said it was cancer and kind of pushed me out the door so I reached out to Dr. Gilchrist. I told him what was happening which was my dog was throwing up for 3-4 days now and was not eating but would still drink water when he had to. He recommended that I go buy a McDonald's hamburger and that usually always works. I decided against doing that since I was reading mixed advice about whether that was a good idea. He never offered to set up an appointment to see my dog he just recommended the McDonald's burger and offered to take a look at my radiographs and bloodwork I recently had done from the other vet. I sent him those documents immediately only to never hear from Dr. Gilchrist again he did not reply to my emails nor did he try to contact me in regards to mine. I would look elsewhere to trust the life of your pet in the event that you could also receive the kind of service I did.

Dr. Gilchrist and his staff are extremely courteous, responsive, and professional.
My dog, a four year old rescue pit, had a growth on her side which continued to grow over a three week time span. Through a recommendation, I called Dr. Gilchrist and scheduled an appointment. Upon arrival, he and his associate, Alex, were kind and attentive to my concerns towards my pups situation.
After a discussion, he gathered his opinion and recommended an ointment to which he believed would help. He was confident, but was also looking out for my pocket, considering a culture of the growth would have been more expensive.
After a few weeks of consistent treatment, the growth has gone away, and her hair around the area has started to grow back.
I recommend Dr. Gilchrist and his team to anyone with a beloved pet who wants and needs an honest/straightforward opinion.
He is now our go to vet for our family pets!

My dog has always been difficult to take to the vet. He's big, anxious, and protective. As he got older, it became nearly impossible. Enter Dr. Gilchrist and Alex. They took great care of him last year when they came for a wellness exam. Last night we noticed one of his nails had broken close to the skin, they were here the next day and took great care of him again!

Dr Gilcrest and Alex are lifesavers!!My cat, Jett, is really anxious on car trips. So i have to admit that I usually avoid taking him to the vet for regular checkups even though I know it's in his best interest. No need to avoid the vet anymore!Using a mobile vet was SO convenient. A little pricey ($60 for the visit. $60 for travel fee.) But worth every penny!!!! My cat got to have a vet exam right in the comfort of my bedroom. He was able to stay pretty calm---far more calm than he would have been if Id had to put him in a carrier, ride in the car and hang out around other animals at the traditional vet.The quality of care my pet received was outstanding. Dr G and Alex are very knowledgeable---- they answered tons of questions, took their time with us and even had good suggestions for an (unrelated) scorpion problem in our home. They were so kind. Highly recommend!!

I have a 15 year old chihuahua that has medical issues, after all she is over 100 in people years! I have been so worried and Dr. Gilchrist and his fantastic assistant Alex really helped me so much! They did an assessment and prescribed medication. I'm happy to say she is doing better now although she really hates to be pilled! Dr Gilchrist is our Vet now, it's so much better that they come to the house than having to take her to a doctor's office.They are really kind and compassionate. I'm really happy I found them!

This was our first experience with Dr. Gilchrist and Alex Hintz (Ass't). I don't know how we could have gotten better veterinary service -- thorough, extremely competent, patient, informative, and caring; and all without our cat suffering the trauma of being transported in a "cage" to a strange place.Vet to You's home visit practice is simply terrific!!

I couldn't have asked for a better experience ! Dr. Gilcrest and Alex were so caring and empathetic. Our 19yr old kitty was suffering and it was his time. They came, sat on the floor with my daughter who had to say good bye to her lifelong pet. Dr. Gilcrest explained everything to her, she was able to hold our kitty during the process and after he was gone, they sat quietly and patiently for quite some time while my daughter held him and cried. We were able to to have our goodbyes. When it was time to let go they were so gentle and they will deliver his ashes back to us personally. We will be using them for all our vet needs and couldn't recommend them more!

Dr. Gilcrest is hands down the best Vet I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. My little black pug is the sweetest little guy and there is not another Vet I would trust with his care. I have experienced good Vets but Dr. Gilcrest is exceptional and he cares for your pet as he would his own. You can stop your search right now. It is nice to have your pet treated in the comfort of your own home as well. I found Dr. Gilcrest through a recommendation years ago very similar to my own. Best referral I ever received.

My dog has always been difficult to take to the vet. He's big, anxious, and protective. As he got older, it became nearly impossible. Enter Dr. Gilchrist and Alex. They took great care of him last year when they came for a wellness exam. They did an assessment and prescribed medication. I'm happy to say she is doing better now although she really hates to be pilled! This was our first experience with Dr. Gilchrist and Alex Hintz (Ass't). I don't know how we could have gotten better veterinary service -- thorough, extremely competent, patient, informative, and caring; and all without our cat suffering the trauma of being transported in a "cage" to a strange place.Vet to You's home visit practice is simply terrific!!

I couldn't have asked for a better experience ! Dr. Gilcrest and Alex were so caring and empathetic. Our 19yr old kitty was suffering and it was his time. They came, sat on the floor with my daughter who had to say good bye to her lifelong pet. Dr. Gilcrest explained everything to her, she was able to hold our kitty during the process and after he was gone, they sat quietly and patiently for quite some time while my daughter held him and cried. I have experienced good Vets but Dr. Gilcrest is exceptional and he cares for your pet as he would his own. You can stop your search right now.
