My Dottie's "doc" at Camino Seco Pet Clinic goes above and beyond to make my 13 year old dog feel comfortable and the doc actually lays down on the floor at her level...I was sold right then!! The staff mirror the doc's love for our pets and the only surprises you get are honesty and understanding for your pocketbook. It was my first of many future visits to the Camino Seco Pet Clinic. The staff was so helpful and friendly that even though my puppy Penny got her first vaccinations, she wasn't traumatized because she got lots of cuddles and kisses. I've been taking my pets for 2 years. The Doctor is great and the staff is very friendly. When my cat was sick, they were very attentive and gave me some breaks on price for treatments needed. The staff is very good about explaining the treatment and costs. It's a small office and not a big chain which means you get a personalized service for your animals.

Every time I have come in the service is always slow. I deeply appreciate what the main surgeon has done for my cat he is always responsible and you can tell he loves and takes care of all the animals that come into the clinic but my biggest problem is the staff at the front. The receptionist are incompetent and never know what's going on when I or someone I know comes in with our pets. Payment plans have been magically lost, paper work screwed up, misquoted on pet food prices it's a mess and the biggest problem for me is the amount of time I or other people that have come in had to wait. Whatever woman receptionist says they'll be right back and i end up waiting 20-40 minutes. Again the doctor that runs the facility is phenomenal and the payment plans "when done right" are extremely helpful I give the doctor running this place 5 out of 5 stars but the women he hires never know what they're doing and come off as stupid.

He made me feel stupid for asking any questions for how to make our pup more comfortable. When we were leaving the office we wittnessed him screaming at his staff. I do not recommend bringing your pet here if Dr. Keisler is still practicing

I've been taking my two dogs to Camino Seco Pet Clinic since either 2010 or 2011 and Dr. Kiesel, Mary and the entire staff have always been friendly, understanding and caring for my dogs. Dr. Kiesel is one of the most kindest Vets I've ever met. He has always treated my dogs like they were his own and he's always treated me with respect and explained procures that my dogs might have needed in detail to me to ensure that I understood. This review is very difficult for me to write because I had to make the very difficult decision to put one of my dogs down on 4/4/17. Dr. Kiesel and his staff have been great and they've worked very hard over the past 2-1/2 months to try to help cure Shadow from his illness. The illness was getting the better of my dog so I had to decide to put him down. This decision was excruciating but Camino Seco Pet Clinic was very understanding and they booked my appointment for Shadow on the same day I made the request. I can't even tell you how wonderful the whole procedure was. My husband and I both sat with Shadow during the 3-step process; one was a muscle relaxer for Shadow, the second was like anesthesia and the last process was the shot to stop his heart from pumping. Now I'm in the grieving process but I am a little more at peace knowing that my dog left this world in good hands and he was at peace.

I've had great experiences here. Picked up a rescue kitten and visited to have her fixed. Excellent treatment and animal health knowledge. Recently had a Labrador that required surgery (tumors removed) and attempted visiting a vet closer to our home and was quoted nearly $1000 - didn't have that in the budget so visited here and they were able to help and performed same surgery for around $400. Doctor and vet techs were great the whole time and excellent customer service. These folks love animals and you see it in the care they provide to pets.

If you care for your PET then don't go to this VET. After a few years of service with no complicated illnesses, we finally had a sick dog. How i wish we would not have ignored all of the signs pointing to an inadequate doctor. Doctors with ethics speak to thier customers, aren't afraid of thier actions, know what prescriptions they prescribed historically. Don't prescribe wild amounts of steriods and put the dogs health first. Oh, one more thing- they should have accurate records.... Not here.

Irresponsible, dangerous and filthy. My 11 week old dog just got attacked by a pit here. It was completely at fault of the staff, this is the most irresponsible and scary thing that I've ever experienced at a vet. We heard the owner of the pit asking the front desk if there were dogs around because he knew his dog was aggressive (he is a responsible dog owner). We were in the private room (where it took 45 minutes to take my dogs temperature) when they left doors open for this pit to get in and attack my puppy. My family has been coming here with our dogs for YEARS and it has recently taken a MASSIVE decline. The place is just unorganized and filthy. I fear that my puppy will get some disease simply because they don't sanitize the rooms properly. There's also a general lack of knowledge, we have a special breed of dog and they gave us so much inaccurate information it makes me uncomfortable knowing they even have a practicing license. After this awful and frankly traumatizing visit we will NEVER EVER support, recommend or acknowledge this business. We're only thankful for the fact that they offered to make sure our puppy wasn't bleeding out before we left.

I took my 15 yr old large dog in for a wellness check up as I was concerned she might have needed to be put down. With his guidance and my efforts she lived another year of quality life and was put down this September at 16+I have a 5 yet old lab mix and a new 1 yr old I rescued and had been with me for 4 months. While playing my lab mix, who got overweight due to the senior not being able to play so much, injured one of his legs playing with the new dogs. We tried anti inflammatories but alas had to move to plan B, which required full anesthesia in order to manipulate the leg to see if there was ligament damage. X-rays, bloodwork, etc with excellent news there is no serious damage. I won't post the cost but I can tell you from talking to friends and their friends who are vets the cost was very reasonable. Dr K is a bit quirky, but he's AMAZING with my dogs and they actually enjoy visiting with him. If his schedule permits he'll stay and interact with the dogs a lot; it's clear he's devoted to them. I have complete trust in him and tout it every chance I get. He's not some huge corporation and the level of care shows. His staff too. The way he accommodated the euthanasia in such a gentle and caring way made things less stressful for me. Having moved to Tucson 1 1/2 years ago one of the hardest things was finding a good vet. And I'm happy to say I have.

July 1 at 8 a. m. on a voucher from Best Friends, I took a neighborhood stray to be spayed at this facility. When I called at 4 PM Dr. Keesal said I could pick her up at five. However when I picked her up at 5 PM she wasn't moving: she couldn't even lift her head. I was very upset, Dr. Keesal said she would be fine, just to keep her very quiet. At 10 PM she still was not moving or lifting her head. I began syringe feeding water and gave her 100 mL lactose ringer fluid. which I do with my senior cats. Following day when I took her to another animal hospital they told me that she was critically anemic, obviously from hemorrhaging after the surgery. Camino Seco should never have sent her home in that condition.

I walked in there on July 15th ready to say goodbye to my sweet little Sugar. She couldn't walk because of a herniated disc. Dr. Kiesel talked me out of it, and worked with me for over two months with so many visits I can't count and helped me get Sugar back to walking again. The staff is GREAT! I will always believe that country Vets are better than most of these Vets here in Tucson that have fancy offices and charge outrageous prices. Dr. Kiesel is reasonably priced and even returns emails I've sent him and his staff.

However, the seemingly understaffed office can be difficult and customer service does lack as a previous review states. This is a vet tech training office so there are interns there learning. If you're looking for a beautifully decorated and visually appealing clinic, this is far from the Ritz. Bottom line: I highly recommend this vet! As long as you're just looking for great animal care service like myself.

If you're looking for a beautifully decorated and visually appealing clinic, this is far from the Ritz. Bottom line: I highly recommend this vet! We breed miniature poodles and also have cats. We found Dr. Kiesel, Mary and Justine when we moved to Tucson. As you can imagine, we have to have a vet who is the best, one that is smart, accessible, collaborative and reasonable. Dr. Kiesel is all of these as well as a very nice man. Many is the time I've had a problem and he has sat with me, pulled out books and either done research or showed me things to help me understand. I never cease to be impressed.A routine office exam includes blood pressure as well as an (iPad/iPhone) ekg. This is unheard of to me and the real icing on the cake.His main tech, Justine, has examined many of my puppies. Her calm and thorough demeanor, unflappable, is perfect. She is smart and savvy.His office manager, Mary, who is also a tech, is a hoot. Personable, funny, caring, just a lovely woman.Old fashioned in their caring and pace, everyone and each pet gets full attention. Highly recommended.

Camino Seco Pet Clinic offered a free exam for our newly adopted Shelter Dog and a discounted exam/vaccine for our Pug. Having lost my favorite Vet over 4 years ago, I have been in search of a worth replacement. We took CSPC up on their offers and I am so glad we did. We were impressed. Dr. Kiesel is exceptional! My boyfriend and I just moved to Tucson from New York with our 1 year old black lab. After an unfortunate brawl with another dog, my pup was left with a sore leg/limp. We decided to bring him into Camino Seco Pet Clinic because it was right around the corner from our house... I'm so glad that we did! First off, it was not only convenient for me because it was close to home, but the clinic also has extended hours! I called kind of last minute to get my dog in so I wasn't able to get him an appointment until the following day. However, the receptionist called me back shortly thereafter letting me know there had been a cancellation, and I could bring him in that night. I was very impressed that they actually called me back! Upon arriving, my dog was brought in to be looked at right away. The vet tech was also extremely friendly to me and expressed a lot of care for my injured dog. She was so nice, and went out of her way to welcome me to Tucson and give me ideas of what I should do around the area. In addition, the vet that my dog saw was equally as great! Similarly, she was just as nice and knew a lot about dogs/behaviors/injuries. Overall, I am very impressed and definitely plan on bringing my dog back there for all his future visits.

Horrible customer service. I brought my dog in who started having continuous seizures. Said they couldn't look at her because I could only afford the emergency fees, not all their tests. She was an older dog and I knew she probably needed to be put down. I just wanted to talk to the vet. My regular vet was closed. They told me to go to the humane society to have her put down. They saw me struggling to carry her in and didn't even open the door. They didn't even help me out to my car. A very insensitive place!!

The staff is very good about explaining the treatment and costs. It's a small office and not a big chain which means you get a personalized service for your animals.

Every time I have come in the service is always slow. I deeply appreciate what the main surgeon has done for my cat he is always responsible and you can tell he loves and takes care of all the animals that come into the clinic but my biggest problem is the staff at the front. The receptionist are incompetent and never know what's going on when I or someone I know comes in with our pets. Payment plans have been magically lost, paper work screwed up, misquoted on pet food prices it's a mess and the biggest problem for me is the amount of time I or other people that have come in had to wait. Whatever woman receptionist says they'll be right back and i end up waiting 20-40 minutes. Again the doctor that runs the facility is phenomenal and the payment plans "when done right" are extremely helpful I give the doctor running this place 5 out of 5 stars but the women he hires never know what they're doing and come off as stupid.

He made me feel stupid for asking any questions for how to make our pup more comfortable. When we were leaving the office we wittnessed him screaming at his staff. I do not recommend bringing your pet here if Dr. Keisler is still practicing

I've been taking my two dogs to Camino Seco Pet Clinic since either 2010 or 2011 and Dr. Kiesel, Mary and the entire staff have always been friendly, understanding and caring for my dogs. Dr. Kiesel is one of the most kindest Vets I've ever met. He has always treated my dogs like they were his own and he's always treated me with respect and explained procures that my dogs might have needed in detail to me to ensure that I understood. This review is very difficult for me to write because I had to make the very difficult decision to put one of my dogs down on 4/4/17. Dr. Kiesel and his staff have been great and they've worked very hard over the past 2-1/2 months to try to help cure Shadow from his illness. The illness was getting the better of my dog so I had to decide to put him down. This decision was excruciating but Camino Seco Pet Clinic was very understanding and they booked my appointment for Shadow on the same day I made the request. I can't even tell you how wonderful the whole procedure was. My husband and I both sat with Shadow during the 3-step process; one was a muscle relaxer for Shadow, the second was like anesthesia and the last process was the shot to stop his heart from pumping. Now I'm in the grieving process but I am a little more at peace knowing that my dog left this world in good hands and he was at peace.

I've had great experiences here. Picked up a rescue kitten and visited to have her fixed. Excellent treatment and animal health knowledge. Recently had a Labrador that required surgery (tumors removed) and attempted visiting a vet closer to our home and was quoted nearly $1000 - didn't have that in the budget so visited here and they were able to help and performed same surgery for around $400. Doctor and vet techs were great the whole time and excellent customer service. These folks love animals and you see it in the care they provide to pets.

If you care for your PET then don't go to this VET. After a few years of service with no complicated illnesses, we finally had a sick dog. How i wish we would not have ignored all of the signs pointing to an inadequate doctor. Doctors with ethics speak to thier customers, aren't afraid of thier actions, know what prescriptions they prescribed historically. Don't prescribe wild amounts of steriods and put the dogs health first. Oh, one more thing- they should have accurate records.... Not here.

Irresponsible, dangerous and filthy. My 11 week old dog just got attacked by a pit here. It was completely at fault of the staff, this is the most irresponsible and scary thing that I've ever experienced at a vet. We heard the owner of the pit asking the front desk if there were dogs around because he knew his dog was aggressive (he is a responsible dog owner). We were in the private room (where it took 45 minutes to take my dogs temperature) when they left doors open for this pit to get in and attack my puppy. My family has been coming here with our dogs for YEARS and it has recently taken a MASSIVE decline. The place is just unorganized and filthy. I fear that my puppy will get some disease simply because they don't sanitize the rooms properly. There's also a general lack of knowledge, we have a special breed of dog and they gave us so much inaccurate information it makes me uncomfortable knowing they even have a practicing license. After this awful and frankly traumatizing visit we will NEVER EVER support, recommend or acknowledge this business. We're only thankful for the fact that they offered to make sure our puppy wasn't bleeding out before we left.

I took my 15 yr old large dog in for a wellness check up as I was concerned she might have needed to be put down. With his guidance and my efforts she lived another year of quality life and was put down this September at 16+I have a 5 yet old lab mix and a new 1 yr old I rescued and had been with me for 4 months. While playing my lab mix, who got overweight due to the senior not being able to play so much, injured one of his legs playing with the new dogs. We tried anti inflammatories but alas had to move to plan B, which required full anesthesia in order to manipulate the leg to see if there was ligament damage. X-rays, bloodwork, etc with excellent news there is no serious damage. I won't post the cost but I can tell you from talking to friends and their friends who are vets the cost was very reasonable. Dr K is a bit quirky, but he's AMAZING with my dogs and they actually enjoy visiting with him. If his schedule permits he'll stay and interact with the dogs a lot; it's clear he's devoted to them. I have complete trust in him and tout it every chance I get. He's not some huge corporation and the level of care shows. His staff too. The way he accommodated the euthanasia in such a gentle and caring way made things less stressful for me. Having moved to Tucson 1 1/2 years ago one of the hardest things was finding a good vet. And I'm happy to say I have.

It was stuck in their fur, on their surgical incisions had to wash the poor things up before infections or irritations occured. Not something "animal lovers" would do. I'll never be back.

July 1 at 8 a. m. on a voucher from Best Friends, I took a neighborhood stray to be spayed at this facility. When I called at 4 PM Dr. Keesal said I could pick her up at five. However when I picked her up at 5 PM she wasn't moving: she couldn't even lift her head. I was very upset, Dr. Keesal said she would be fine, just to keep her very quiet. At 10 PM she still was not moving or lifting her head. I began syringe feeding water and gave her 100 mL lactose ringer fluid. which I do with my senior cats. Following day when I took her to another animal hospital they told me that she was critically anemic, obviously from hemorrhaging after the surgery. Camino Seco should never have sent her home in that condition.

I walked in there on July 15th ready to say goodbye to my sweet little Sugar. She couldn't walk because of a herniated disc. Dr. Kiesel talked me out of it, and worked with me for over two months with so many visits I can't count and helped me get Sugar back to walking again. The staff is GREAT! I will always believe that country Vets are better than most of these Vets here in Tucson that have fancy offices and charge outrageous prices. Dr. Kiesel is reasonably priced and even returns emails I've sent him and his staff.

However, the seemingly understaffed office can be difficult and customer service does lack as a previous review states. This is a vet tech training office so there are interns there learning. If you're looking for a beautifully decorated and visually appealing clinic, this is far from the Ritz. Bottom line: I highly recommend this vet! As long as you're just looking for great animal care service like myself.

However, the seemingly understaffed office can be difficult and customer service does lack as a previous review states. This is a vet tech training office so there are interns there learning. If you're looking for a beautifully decorated and visually appealing clinic, this is far from the Ritz. Bottom line: I highly recommend this vet! We breed miniature poodles and also have cats. We found Dr. Kiesel, Mary and Justine when we moved to Tucson. As you can imagine, we have to have a vet who is the best, one that is smart, accessible, collaborative and reasonable. Dr. Kiesel is all of these as well as a very nice man. Many is the time I've had a problem and he has sat with me, pulled out books and either done research or showed me things to help me understand. I never cease to be impressed.A routine office exam includes blood pressure as well as an (iPad/iPhone) ekg. This is unheard of to me and the real icing on the cake.His main tech, Justine, has examined many of my puppies. Her calm and thorough demeanor, unflappable, is perfect. She is smart and savvy.His office manager, Mary, who is also a tech, is a hoot. Personable, funny, caring, just a lovely woman.Old fashioned in their caring and pace, everyone and each pet gets full attention. Highly recommended.

Camino Seco Pet Clinic offered a free exam for our newly adopted Shelter Dog and a discounted exam/vaccine for our Pug. Having lost my favorite Vet over 4 years ago, I have been in search of a worth replacement. We took CSPC up on their offers and I am so glad we did. We were impressed. Dr. Kiesel is exceptional! My boyfriend and I just moved to Tucson from New York with our 1 year old black lab. After an unfortunate brawl with another dog, my pup was left with a sore leg/limp. We decided to bring him into Camino Seco Pet Clinic because it was right around the corner from our house... I'm so glad that we did! First off, it was not only convenient for me because it was close to home, but the clinic also has extended hours! I called kind of last minute to get my dog in so I wasn't able to get him an appointment until the following day. However, the receptionist called me back shortly thereafter letting me know there had been a cancellation, and I could bring him in that night. I was very impressed that they actually called me back! Upon arriving, my dog was brought in to be looked at right away. The vet tech was also extremely friendly to me and expressed a lot of care for my injured dog. She was so nice, and went out of her way to welcome me to Tucson and give me ideas of what I should do around the area. In addition, the vet that my dog saw was equally as great! Similarly, she was just as nice and knew a lot about dogs/behaviors/injuries. Overall, I am very impressed and definitely plan on bringing my dog back there for all his future visits.

Horrible customer service. I brought my dog in who started having continuous seizures. Said they couldn't look at her because I could only afford the emergency fees, not all their tests. She was an older dog and I knew she probably needed to be put down. I just wanted to talk to the vet. My regular vet was closed. They told me to go to the humane society to have her put down. They saw me struggling to carry her in and didn't even open the door. They didn't even help me out to my car. A very insensitive place!!
