I have used Cat Hospital Of Tucson for many years now and I'm always pleased€ by the service. The staff is very friendly and professional, including Peggy the office cat. The doctor is very knowledgeable and down to earth. She gets straight to the point and lays everything out clearly. I have three cats, two of whom are seniors. One of the Seniors is going through renal failure, so he's on borrowed time because he's very sick. Dr Keyes has always been very kind but straightforward about his issues. If it weren't for her diligence, he probably would have passed away by now. She doesn't pressure you to make a choice, just lays out your options. Prices are reasonable but the medications can get pretty expensive. I would recommend Cat Hospital Of Tucson to anyone with cats! Read Less

I took my cat Sasha there after having her at an ER which was terrible. She was having seizures. I was so desperate for some help. Dr. Keyes looked at her and because she was drooling she actually reported it to animal control and told me she could have rabies! She treated both Sasha and I as if we had something terrible. The Dr. went on to tell me that if she had rabies she would be killed and all my other cats would be taken and put in quarantine. I went home with Sasha ( I had a Neuro appointment the next day if Phoenix for her). I had to take Sasha and my other cats to my sisters house that night because I was afraid animal control would come and take them. I knew Sasha did not have rabies, which was confirmed at the Neurologist the next day. Dr. Keyes and the technicians here are very nice and Dr. Keyes makes a point to explain things to you. This place will cost you an arm and a leg though. A routine visit fee is $50 alone, procedures are even more expensive, and medication is ridiculous. I moved to Tucson from one of the most expensive cities in the country, but I have never had a vet charge me such exorbitant prices. For a while I paid the prices, hoping that they were just reflective of quality, specialized care. Then I had to get my cat an antibiotic. Amoxicillin is one of the cheapest medications available, but they charged me almost $50 for 10 day supply. This is a medication I've paid $10-$15 for routinely in the past. The emergency veterinarian doesn't even charge that much for more advanced, stronger antibiotics. Yet at CHT, For a simple infection, I spent over $300. There is a point when the prices become exploitive rather than reflective of the care your pet receives, and The Cat Hospital of Tucson has reached that point. I actually had to hold my own cat for her exams... for $50 per visit? There is nothing wrong with the doctors of the techs or the staff.... but there is nothing so great about the care or service that would make me want to spend so much money over such a simple issue again. After this last episode, I decided to stop letting CHT pick my pocket and got a new vet. Read Less
