Dr Eberhard is the very best. So kind, so gentle, so personable and a great vet as well as a fabulous surgeon. And he is up to date with the latest information and weighs the risks over the benefits. First impressions mean everything, and Catalina Pet nailed it! The office is very clean and fresh. Every staff member we encountered had a smile on their face and welcomed us. All other clients seemed happy and comfortable. We had already been in contact with Dr. Maus regarding our international move with our dog Sophie prior to our exam. There is a lot of paperwork and we have had a million questions. Never once has she seemed impatient or bothered. She has been absolutely stellar in helping us transition. She always emails us back within 24 hours, usually far less than that. She has answered any question we have had with as much information as possible. She clearly knows what she is doing and we are forever grateful. On top of that, the little goody bag they send home to first time clients is just adorable. I can't say enough about this office. Buzz Cohen has always been very caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable. We have been taking our animals here for over a decade. Sadly we had to say good bye to our family member Daly today, but the caring and compassion was there with him until it was over. Took my cat Charlie to Catalina Pet Hospital yesterday to have his anal glands expressed. The place was clean, well-managed and the visit went smoothly. At the end of my visit, being a new client, I received a little goodie bag to boot! Charlie came home looking a little teed off at having had gone through the experience (unpleasant because he was a bit impacted back there) but within a few hours was playing fetch! He has not done this in over 8 months and believe me, it's nothing I taught him to do. He took the little mouse toy from the goodie bag and brought it to me to be thrown. Every time I'd throw it, he'd run and fetch it and bring it back. He did this OVER 20 times. Seriously. I have not seen him this ecstatic in a long time which makes me very happy that I followed my instincts and took him to Catalina Pet. I'm also following the advice to feed him a teaspoon of pumpkin at every meal (so far, so good!) They are be far the kindest, most compassionate and qualified vets you will find in Tucson (one of my best friends has parents that are both vets and are retired + my mother was a dog breeder so I should know!)
