Dr Rocco is amazing with my pets. My 70 lb mixed breed dog, Sadie, is super protective of me and it's always a problem when she meets new people. The best vet I've ever met. The staff is equally wonderful. Dr Rocko (Melee..sp?)is amazing and helped my kitten even after transport was delayed past closing time! Not only did he bring me back to examine my injured kitten with them but he also was extremely caring and excited to help. So genuine! They aren't just out for the money , they genuinely love animals and their careers. I have never felt so happy to review a place and i don't do it often. I could go on forever about these amazing people and their wonderful business. I am only sorry i had not known of them sooner. Choose this place! You will be so happy you did! Thank you all so much. Dr. Rocco is fantastic. My little chihuahua named Moosey had her jaw broken by a large dog. Dr Rocco took excellent care of her. He did a bone graft and oral surgery to repair the rest of her injuries. You can tell he really cares about the animal above anything else. He's very friendly and patient and explains everything in detail, even texting pictures if you need to see or want clarification. He even called during her surgery to give us an update. My sister thought it was very expensive, but you get what you pay for and I was more than happy with the services provided! My little girl doesn't have to be put down and hopefully she'll make a quick recovery. Oh and the office staff are WONDERFUL. Thank you so much Eastpoint!! And Moose thanks you even more! Read Less

Our 8 yr old Shizhu/Poodle developed a lump on the side of his mandible during our wintering in Green Valley. By the luck of the canine gods we were referred to Dr. Mele and we're so thankful. What an amazing professional he is and so full of passion for his practice, even after more than 40 years! We were impressed with the entire clinic and assistants; they were kind and helpful. Dr. Mele is a gifted veterinarian and we are happy to have found ourselves here when our little dog needed him. When there was a small series of lost communications over the period of a week, I was told that they would not send in a prescription refill for my cat that she needed to continue living. That refill request was made because I was worried that the back and forth between the pharmacy and office using faxes might take more than 24 hours and it was Friday at the time. After I said I didn't want to contact the pharmacy to have them fax the request to the office because of time constraints the Doctor told me that they would not refill anything at all until I have full blood work done and an x ray. I stated that I could plan to do that and would be happy to, but that she need medication tomorrow. He told me it "wasn't his problem" (exact words here) and that if I needed help I should go to an emergency vet. Customer Service = 0 also, apparently they would rather my cat die than face an invented malpractice suit I theoretically could bring if the medication that my cat has been taking successfully for months doesn't stop her from dying? Yeah, you make sense of it.Read Less

I read a lot of reviews about veterinarians who are just down right terrible. When Shadow had a hotspot on the side of his leg that needed treatment I, initially, did not expect much from this place. Since I was referred by this generous woman at the dog park, I decided to give it a try and I was astonished of how AMAZING Dr. Rocco and his staff were! Dr. Rocco was very attentive and got straight to the point. He focused on the main problem and never once did he try persuading me to have unnecessary things done to my dog. Dr. Rocco and his staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Whenever I had questions it was very easy to contact with him through email and phone. Dr. Mele is an amazing vet. He has taken care of our little dog for over 5 years. The look and the upkeep of the clinic is a representation of his care. He is straight forward and doesn't beat around the bush. I have been to other vets before and he's approach is so much better. He understands that your pet is a family member and treats them as if they were his own. He specializes in dental work and does it right. If money is not an issue, this is wonderful for dental care.  But I paid nearly two thousand dollars to have my dog's remaining teeth pulled and to have bone put into her gums.  I was absolutely shocked.Never again. Read Less

I had a vet that was over on La Cholla and he was great. However I moved and decided it was time to get one closer to my home. I chose Eastpoint after reading the reviews. Leaving me to think I should have read into the reviews a bit more after seeing this vet is a dental vet. My pit mix had gotten an odd growth on her head. I took her in and the vet and staff seemed nice enough. When the vet did the exam, and I told him there were little skin tags growing form the site, he didn't look through her fur. He just felt it and said it was a cyst. He was actually more interested in her teeth. He said what great shape they were in for her age. But then the focus was off the growth. I have had her teeth done many times through the years and as recent as 4-6 months ago. He felt she was due and the could remove the cyst while doing the cleaning. I asked for a quote, which the receptionist said she would email to me. In the mean time I went home and looked at the differences between cyst and skin tags. If you look at my dogs head, it was definitely a skin tag.  I have heard you can simply treat them homeopathically vs: putting an older dog under general anesthesia. Then the email came...$950!!! I had paid 300-400 before. And, this was just an estimate. I love my dog dearly and feel that putting her under for another cleaning and removing a cyst that really isn't a cyst is insane! I will take the drive across town and see the vet we saw before. Read Less

Wow. Rocco, the vet is a super friendly man. Plus his staff are amazing. Super friendly people and I've never felt more welcome at other veterinarian offices. They are great people at Eastpoint Pet Clinic. I am disabled and the staff helped me and my baby dog off and back onto the van that took us out there. My Dog loved the staff. The cost was reasonable. I paid $56.00 for two shots. Which was exactly what I was quoted before the appointment. I would definitely advise anyone to take their pets here. Read Less

Dr. Mele was referred to us by our regular vet. We have numerous ankle biters who have bad teeth. He and his staff have shown the most compassionate care we or our pets have ever seen. His fees are very affordable and even if they weren't I would still go to him due to the fact he explains everything to us and we just love the staff!! Read Less

Our dog was (and is) having trouble standing, and as we were passing through Tucson on our way to California we did a Yelp search for a reputable Vet in the area. Dr. Mele at Eastpoint Clinic seemed to be well liked and highly rated so we made an appointment. We are glad we did. He showed great compassion in examining our dog, and quickly came to the conclusion that we would be better served by a neurological specialist in Phoenix. He then had his staff set up an appointment for us and, the next day, called us personally to check on our dog. Oh, no charge.So, while I cannot honestly comment on Dr. Mele's veterinarian skills as we did not use them much, his commitment to service and his obvious passion for animals is something to be admired. We were sent to Dr. Rocco Mele when we found out one of our kitties had a disease that was destroying his teeth. Many teeth needed to be pulled to end the suffering. Dr. Mele explained to us exactly why it needed to be done and how he was going to repair the mouth with a special covering that would enable our kitty to actually eat hard food again once he was totally healed. He kept us informed every step of the way on the day of the surgery and shared with us the "before and after" films of our kitty's mouth. This one kitty of ours has diabetes and he was very careful and attentive to managing the insulin doses during the surgery period. I was very impressed with this attention to detail.I happy to report he's doing wonderfully and able to easily heat hard food once again and chew his meaty dishes as well.His entire staff is professional and kind in all ways. I came here to get my followup rabies shot for my dog. The staff were very helpful and nice and the vet himself was very informative. The clinic was very clean and gave a very sterile environment kind of vibe. Their prices are also fair - $14 for a rabies shot and no extra fees. That was cheaper then the low-cost clinic I went to in Cali! Some places I had called were quoting me over $100, which is just insane. I have taken my cat to Eastpoint Pet clinic multiple times and received the best service and quality treatment for my pet. The staff is very friendly and always made me feel welcomed. During my cats surgery Dr. Mele and his staff would call me through out the day giving me updates. It made my day less stressful as well and made me very happy to know how my cat was doing. What really impressed me about the clinic is the technology/equipment they utilize. Also, Dr. Mele will take his time and sit with you and show you what issues your pet is having on the computer display and let you how he will treat it. I don't think I would take my pet to any other clinic in town; I think this is the best one in the city.  I would recommend taking your pet to see Dr. Mele and his staff! Read Less

I recently adopted Foxy (a six year old pomeranian) and had no clue what vet to go to. I received a recommendation from my boss to see Dr. Rocco Mele at Eastpoint Pet Clinic. During my first visit the staff and Dr. Mele introduced themselves and showed me around the office. I was very impressed and felt very welcome! The office was extremely clean and didn't have that weird vet office smell. They also had top of the line medical equipment. I instantly made an appointment to have a check up and a dental cleaning for Foxy. On the day of the appointment I dropped off Foxy and Dr. Mele called me throughout the day to inform me how she was doing (she had to go through 7 extractions). When I picked Foxy up, Dr. Mele went through all of the x-rays  and surgery photos. He gave my instructions on how to care for Foxy during the next week. He even gave me his home phone number and cell number in case I had any questions or concerns!Overall, Dr. Mele is a wonderful person who cares for animals and has extensive pet health knowledge. His office is very professional and relaxing for your pet. I would highly recommend Dr. Mele and his staff! Read Less
