The first time I went there was fine, and I didn't even have an appointment but needed a rabies shot for my dog so he could still have grooming at the very best grooming place I know, Wags. Well, my dog and three others here went to our dog park, and think it had been sprayed, and they all threw up. But, I wasn't sure if it was the rabies shot or the dog park, or the Norovirus which hit our place so bad the health dept. almost closed it. I took him back, and asked if I should bring a stool, and they said it would be $62 if I did. I had to toss out $127 of dog food, because not sure why he threw up for two days, The first visit, the "helper" was wonderful except she did say my Vet Speciality person was "crazy." and that wasn't very professional. This second time, I was very nervous, the doctor look quickly at him and had the tech take him back and I heard him scream and holler, I know his voice, and he never does that. He was really hurt.
When I got him back his back was bleeding! She (tech) said white dogs bleed more! She said she had to use a thick needle to hydrate him. I never got the answer to if the Norovirus carried over, and I got some pills. I am 80 yrs. old and can't read fast the small print. Emily, the hard-boiled tech my dog was afraid of from the start, grabbed them out of my hand and read how much to give, then I asked "together?" with or without food," she said it didn't matter. Later, I got home and found out it had to be taken with food. I went back to get some food, and complained when they gave me the wrong food. Besides, I just wanted a few pills the first time, and got 28 and it was $74 for the pills, they were Apoquel and that might have been what made him sick. I found they cost $1.74 elsewhere. Both times, my bill was over two hundred dollars, so I wasn't going back anyway, but they sent me a letter to not come back! I want you all to know about the rough treatment and the high prices. And, I saw the actual doctor just a few minutes. So, going to Marana where they will clean his teeth at less than 1/2 the price they charge here. Watch out for teeth cleaning these days, these places are costing a fortune, my friend paid $1,100. I'm paying $175. where I'm going. Too bad people have to act that way, I miss my old vets in Texas and can't wait to move back there where they are nice, take time, and do not charge that much. Read Less
