Been going to old spanish trail for 18 years now , trust no one but dr. Deshazer, I had to go to the 24 hours hospitals years ago due to after hours and they weren't very helpful there and just recommend to put your dog down .  It's been years now and my dog is still going , I don't trust any opinions but the doctor .  Thank you for staff and doctor for all my pet's needs. We brought our girls here the other day for shots and a check up, and gotta say the doctor and his assistant were awesome. Our put whos 16 weeks wasnt thrilled to be there but the doctor was great with her and her big sister. Not only that, but since we're still relatively new to Arizona the vet gave us tons of advise on the critters and the weather for the dogs and even our cats (which werent there). It is a bit pricey but other then that they were awesome. Read Less

Our chihuahua had a small tumor right above his eye. The vet could have told us that it needed to be removed right away which would have left us with an expensive surgery bill. Luckily and graciously the vet told us that the tumor was benign and would go away within a few months. Very grateful for this clinic's service. Would highly recommend. Read Less

I have taken my cats here for years and feel like the staff treats my pets like family. I am never rushed, the doctor and his technicians take the time to answer my questions putting me at ease as well. We had been with our previous veterinary hospital for 33 years. The vet was great but the office staff was inefficient and left much to be desired. Much research and a friend's recommendation swayed us to Spanish Trail. I had the worst experience at this location. I took my pug in to have exploritory surgery. I then get a phone call that my pug needed to be put down because they found cancer. I was told to come and say my final goodbyes. I told them I'm on my way to pick her up. This was back in may of 2014. Thankfully she is still with me to this day and doing just fine. Very well managed and caring vet practice. Truly seem concerned about your dog and are extremely helpful.Dr Deshazer is a real stand up guy who shows compassion and a real knowledge of veterinary medicine. You never get the feeling that they are just running up unnecessary bills. Our dog was extremely ill and not eating or drinking and Dr D explained everything to us and provided a common sense approach to a recommended course of action that worked wonderfully. Dr D and staff are always on top of their game. Brutus, my 10 y.o. Black Lab fell quite ill and I thought we were going to lose him. Dr. DeShazer and his staff are amazing! They really care about you and your animals and do their very best to make sure you understand everything. The doctor tellos you, the nurse tells you and they send you home with writtne instructions as well after every surgery, even an minor as teeth cleaning. I had my dog Eddie, a Jack Russell Terrier, in just a few days ago for teeth cleaning and an opted surgery at my request to remove a fat deposit located just under the skin in about the center of his chest (lipoma). Spanish Trail Pet Clinic uses a laser for surgery as it is more accurate, heals faster, and is from what I understand, more resistant to any post-operative infection. Each time I take Eddie in, I find the staff to be courteous, comprehensive in what they do, knowledgeable, and caring. They called today for a follow-up on how Eddie is doing, and they're glad to answer any questions I may have. I feel I can trust them with my dog's health.Read Less

Dr D has done everything for our pets (both dogs and cats) from shots to the end.
