Clean and easy visit. Really great people work there. My kitten was scared at first but was herself in a matter of minutes. You can tell they love every animal they have visit. 6 Stars! This is my new vet. My beloved dog just had an infection. The staff was wonderful over the phone, gave advice, and set an appointment for the next day. The facility was very clean and nice, and the staff were very friendly. My dog was very comfortable with them. The vet came in quickly, and spent a good amount of time looking him over and answering all my questions. The exam, treatment, medicine, and 3 vaccinations cost just over $130, which is very reasonable and unexpectedly low, for such complete care. I am going to bring my other dog and 2 cats in soon. I've had 2 experiences thus far. My first was having to have my kitty in for a removal of a growth in his mouth. The staff were awesome! They really made sure I knew what all was going on and how to handle after care. The second was a bit sadder. One of my other kitties had a bladder blockage that had ruptured, and he was in full renal failure. They were again very sensitive to my situation. I had him cremated and they gave me his ashes. It was as painless as could be in such a painful situation. I'll definitely keep going back. The office visits are very affordable. And they have discount dental days. Over the last two years I’ve been to this clinic more often than I’d like to admit. I have a high maintenance dog... The staff is very friendly and always attempting to make my fearful dog comfortable. Dr. White is my dogs (and my) favorite veterinarian. He’s very practical and straightforward. Like many pet clinics they aren’t inexpensive. I know there are less costly places, but I also know they are thorough and very close to my house. Be wary for bringing shelter pups. Brought my newly adopted PACC dog in. Understandably, she was scared and anxious (hiding under chairs). Techs were very nice but the vet told me "there was probably a reason she was in the shelter in the first place" though "I did a good deed by adopting her". I was 100% horrified. I'm sure this is a great place for some owners and their animals but I found a compassionate vet elsewhere. Read Less

5 stars for this clinic! Greeted at the door, my dog was loved on by the staff while she waited for her room for her appointment, the vet tech was absolutely wonderful and the Vet was nice and took his time explaining everything to us. He didn't try to push a surgery on us but he did explain how it would help and got us an estimate, but he also explained and gave us the option to use a salve for her cherry eye. I particularly enjoy that there are low windows for the dogs to look out from during their appointments!the whole clinic was very clean and you can tell the staff enjoy being there. I what to think the wonderful people at University Pet Clinic. They were absolutely wonderful when it came time to put my poor Kitty to sleep. She was 24 years old and a fighter. She lived such a long and Wonderful Life. The vet techs and veterinarian at the clinic were amazing! They let me go back in with her when they had to put the catheter in just to keep her calm. We were put in a private room where I was allowed to stay with her during the entire process. She'll be missed thank you so much University Pet Clinic. Read Less

Hey!! The folks at University Pet Clinic are just great! I am very impressed with the clinic. I got so tired of the corporate nonsense at the clinic I was taking my service dog to before, I had to change, and I am so glad I did. Reasonable prices and no pressure to spend more on your pet than you want to. It is so nice to know there is a vet clinic in Tucson that offers great care and does not pick your pocket when they are doing it. NW Pet Clinic charged me over $800 for unnecessary xr-rays and blood work when my dog just had a belly ache! And no matter what I brought my dog in for, the vets there always had to mention "cancer"...I think it was actually their wish. ching ching! We brought our brand new Boxer puppy there we had just got from the breeder. We paid quite a bit for him so we were very careful about the vet we chose to help us and care for him. The techs were so sweet and treated him as one of their own pups. He got 2 shots one of which was a micro chip and they did it so well he never yelped or cried! (Even though the needle was rather big). The were very informative and spoke professionally. Knowing Tucson better than we did since we had just moved they let us know the good and bad when taking him places. We will hands down be bringing him back for everything we need! Everyone there in professional and caring. This was the second in 3 months I had my cat there for an infection due to a fight with another cat (my cat will no longer be going outside) and no one tried to make me feel bad that it was my fault for letting him out, they took wonderful care of him and probably saved his life. I took my 15 year old American Eskimo here for tooth extractions today and am extremely pleased with the quality of dental work and friendliness of the staff. It was my first time here, enticed by all the positive reviews online. The entire process was reassuringly comforting and the price was more than fair. My dog is well on her way to recovering fast. We have been clients at UPC for about 13 years, and couldn't be happier. The paws still sweat when we pull in, but after they get off the scale they relax. We have brought new pets thru there as well as have had pets put down, it was just as hard for them as for us. It was like choosing the peditrician for our kids, they are just as important. We feel lucky to have Dr Schorr, he takes the time to explain everything in detail and even in kid language so the kids get it and have a true knowledge of what is going on (he even lets them look at things in the microscope.) That old joke about dragging your dog to the vet's does not apply here. We have been taking our pets to see Dr. Schorr for over 15 years...the tail starts wagging as soon as we pull into the parking lot. As a puppy...our Lab, Dot, was hit by a car resulting in major skull fractures. Dr. Schorr put her back together and she enjoyed another 12 years with us. Even when we were living up in Phoenix for part of that time we would bring Dot back to Tucson for care. And don't forget to bring a picture of your pet for the display board! Read Less

We give University Pet Clinic our highest recommendation. When our bouvier, Bella, was critically ill, she received exceptional care (and so did we!) There were nearly daily phone calls from Dr. Schorr personally with updates. Both Drs. Schorr and McWaters have taken the time to explain everything to us---even discussing x-ray results, procedures, suggested treatments, etc. When we go into the clinic, the staff recognizes us and greets us warmly---and our dogs actually enjoy visiting the vet! I just moved to Tucson and was a struggling-to-get-by pre-pharmacy student. I opened the phone book to find a vet to treat my two dogs for mange. UPC was the first place- of several- that I called, and after speaking to the staff here, I felt the most comfortable placing my puppies in Dr. Schorr's care (not to mention the price couldn't be beat!). The staff spent quite some time on the phone with me asking about the symptoms my dogs were experiencing and explaining what Dr. Schorr can do to treat them. That was 9 years ago. The service still hasn't changed. Every person in that office is caring and compassionate. I now have 6 dogs, 5 of which are rottweiler pups, and everyone there treats them like they are family. I can assure you that this office will take the best care of your loved one. Dr. Schorr has personally returned all of my phone calls, even after business hours. The entire staff (including the doctor) calls to make sure my babies are doing okay. When I had an emergency, they worked me into their schedule that same day, and scheduled a follow up for me the next. The entire staff at UPC is extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy. The doctors are honest and price-conscious in their recommendations. They do not make any unnecessary recommendations, and they give you all the options. Even though I moved 25 miles away from the office, I refuse to change vets. I could not be happier with my decision. Dr. Schorr is by far the best vet that I have ever had, and the staff at the clinic is so loving and caring, I couldn't ask for a better relationship. I had two cats get very sick, one after the other. Dr. Schorr took amazing care of both of them and I credit him with saving my Tigger's life. When is was time to say goodbye to my precious Boo, who was my beloved companion for 14 years, Dr. Schorr came to my house so that we could say goodbye where Boo could be calm and comforted. All of the staff isamazing and I hope to be taking my pets there for a very,very long time. I have been taking my animals to Dr Schorr and the techs since 1992. When my kitten Tana was brought to Tucson she was three years old (I had raised her since she was 3 weeks old). Dr Schorr and his wonderful staff took care of her when she was so very sick and rejoiced with me when she recovered. During the years, they have taken care of all of our animal family. They have always treated all of us with kindness above and beyond what other vets would have done. When it came time for my baby girl Tana to be put to sleep on Jan. 10th, a week of morning for all of Tucson, Dr McWaters was there. It was our first meeting, but I was very impressed with her tenderness when it came to taking care of Tana. A few days later, not only did we receive a beautiful rose, but also a lovely card from Dr McWaters and the staff. They have always made the hard times more doable. I really dont know what other reviews are talking about. I have gone to this clinic for 8 years and love Dr. Schorr. I have seen Dr's come and go and have never had to deal with a Dr. so lacking in people skills and vet skills. This Mcwalters or whatever is horrible. Dont be fooled. I just took my dog to University Pet Clinic...got to meet the new vet, Dr. McWaters. She was great. She offered me choices- actively listened to me and I could see how much she cares about pets by the way she handled Scout. He needed X-Rays and tests...cost less than I expected.
