We adopted a puppy a few weeks ago and had a hard time finding a vet for him. Valencia Animal Hospital was able to fit him in that weekend for his initial physical. The vets are very social and caring, and unlike some vets I’ve been to they take the time to listen how incidents occurred so that their treatment is correct. On Tuesday for 17th I had to bring in my dog Alice J Pickles because she was extremely Ill .she was diagnosed with Pyometra and emergency surgery was required IMMEDIATELY. Dr Chmiel , Hannah , Aubrey , SJ , and Sam , did everything they could to make sure they took care of not just Pickles , but they took the time to take care of me as well . They got me a great flexible payment plan , and went above and beyond ANY expectations I had for treatment and compassion . In addition they have been checking up on us , and have been making sure that not just Pickles is on the mend , but me and my family . Having a family member ( which is exactly how I refer to my dogs and cats ) suddenly become Ill and is knocking on deaths door , no matter who you are , it’s traumatic . This animal hospital is the best, we so grateful to all the staff and Dr. Zepeda, our beloved doggie Zando figueroa had liver failure he was very sick, we took him in to this location and Dr. Zepeda was the one to see him, she told us he also had Kinney failure as well😢, sadly our doggie was already older and very sick to make it, we were devastated knowing there was nothing more to do for him.😪, the most difficult decision in our lives, but i have to say thank God for putting our doggie in bless hand's dr. Every staff member I have encountered is kind, warm, and welcoming. They treat my 3 dogs as if they were their own and recommend treatments that fit their lifestyles. My dogs have had a couple emergencies in the past from a broken tooth to a serious illness and the staff went above and beyond to help us each time. Kelsie, the lead receptionist, is simply the best ever, don't ever let her go! All the vet techs I have met have been really nice and upbeat. I met Samantha most recently and she was super nice and spent extra time to make my nervous dog more at ease. We recently decided it was time to change vets after a long run with a neighboring one.  One of my besties had taken her fur babies here and could not say enough wonderful things about Valencia Animal Hospital so we thought we would give them a go.  My beloved pooch was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor on her rear leg at her other vet and our confidence in our vet had dwindled so we immediately booked an appointment here.  They got me right in to see Dr. Zepeda.  When I arrived with her, I was impressed by the front lobby area that was clean and cheerful.  The gal in the front Kelsie is wonderful, super sweet and high energy.  Once we were in the room the Vet Tech (Angela) went through some stuff and was incredibly sweet as well.  She was great with my girl and has a nice calm energy about her.  Dr. Zepeda then came in, we talked about what our needs are in a vet and why we were here.  I gotta say, from the minute I met her I loved her vibe and so did my dog Petunia.  She is incredibly informative, knowledgeable and gives you lots of information to digest about your options.  What impressed me the most is that she offered to adjust her calendar and remove the tumor that day which we took her up on.  I feel a sense of peace knowing that the treatment options to come for Petunia under Dr. Zepeda's care will cover all options.  Basically, I feel that we are in great hands.Upon leaving that day I made an appointment for my other pooch Violet to come in the following week for her annual check up and shots.  That experience was just as positive as the first.   You can clearly see here that everyone has a true passion for animals and the humans they bring in with them. I am making the switch for my two girls permanently and can't say enough about how wonderful they are here.  As an aside, after breaking down the costs here compared to my former vet -- they are more competitive in their pricing.   Our thing was finding a vet that would be assertive (but educated) in their approach to diagnosing.  One that would be informative and proactive, someone current on the latest information and technology.   It was also finding a Vet practice where we felt good, our pets felt good about being there.  This is the place.  Oh AND they are open 7 days a week (bonus!!!) Dr Z. is amazing! We take both of our dogs to Valencia Animal Hospital. Tickles (our Morkie) was attacked in our backyard by a coyote and I called the hospital in a panic, my kids hysterical, she took her right away and operated on her. Although the clinic is a bit of a drive for me and the cats, Dr. Z and the staff at Valencia Animal Hospital are well worth the trek. The clinic is exceptionally clean with separate entrances and rooms for cats and dogs. The wait time is quick to below average, and Dr. Z is attentive, caring, and hilarious too. She is one of the few vets I have been to that seems to have an equal love for all types of animals: cats, dogs, birds, etc! As a cat owner, I appreciate the care and patience Dr. Z exercises while dealing with my crabby old boy cat. This has not often been the case at other vets. The other thing to note: I have never felt pressured to order expensive tests. The doctor is very clear to distinguish between tests that are absolutely necessary, recommended, and top of the line. With a hyperthyroid and heart murmur cat, the tests alone could wipe out my bank accounts and then some. It's been really great to work with a vet that is sensitive to your limitations and helps you plan/manage your pet's care without making you feel irresponsible. She is great about giving multiple options of both diagnostics and treatment, again without pushing the most expensive plan as the mandatory course of action.The pricing for my animals medication is also noticeably cheaper here than in comparison to what I was paying at a VCA clinic and another private vet clinic. Overall, I appreciate the hospital's great care, good prices, and respectfulness. Highly recommended! Read Less

My dog had some complications and she worked through the issues with me, was very compassionate, and helped us get to the root of the problem all the while checking with what I was comfortable with and could financially afford. Dr Zapeda is awesome!  We've been completely Ng here for years and she is wonderful with all our pets. We had to put down two of our dogs and they all were so caring. They helped us understand the health issues with our dog and making the best decisions for them.  Raven, our black lab, had many health issues and we always have gotten wonderful care with her. When we had to put her down, and e received the sweetest sympathy card from all the staff. We now have a new lab puppy and she has seen Dr Z from the beginning. Dr. Rosen is a great vet. She has always shown a genuine love and interest in the health and well being of my dog, and he loves her to pieces in return. When he is at the vet for the day, he gets lots of toys and attention, and I get to see all the photos of the fun day he had. He is always wagging his tail in her presence. One of my favorite pictures of my dog is Dr. Rosen giving him a bear hug (he is 100 lbs). Love is the best medicine a vet can give an animal. Love her. Read Less

The level of service I have received at Valencia Animal Hospital is far superior than any other clinic I have taken my beloved pet to! Every time I take my cat to this clinic for her wellness check, it is a positive experience. The Veterinarian (Dr. Zepeda), makes it a point to clearly and concisely address all of my concerns, and explains everything in a patient tone (I don't feel as though she is rushing out of the room). The cost is appropriate for any budget, and I feel as though the treatment plan is what is actually needed and not just a way to make the clinic money. I've been going to Valencia Animal Hospital since they opened. I love this place!. The staff is friendly, caring and will try to work you in in an emergency to make sure your pet is cared for. My animals are always comfortable going there. I think the sun rises and sets in Dr. Rosen! She always gives my 5 animals the greatest care. This lady truly cares about her patients and loves the critters who come to visit her. She is understanding and is willing to work with me while giving my furry kids the very best care possible. They are the best. Pulled my feline-leukemia-stricken cat (now close to six) from the brink of death. Had horrible, rapidly advancing relapse (I had asked Doc Provost to dc a tiny maintainence dose ... after five years Mars still fights taking pills) that took his critical oxygen-carrying components (hemoglobin, red blood cells) from normal to near-non-existent in the course of one weekend. Without additional charge, AND the automatic VETERAN'S discount of 10%, we were seen ASAP Monday and by Thursday the blood levels (and literally the life-force) of my best buddy had returned to within 10% of normal.This is a fine hospital that gives me one more reason to be happy I left downtown for the Rita Ranch area.
